This is the greatest place to go for lunch or breakfast! The staff is always welcoming and friendly, nice atmosphere, and you get free chips and salsa! Their breakfast tacos are perfect and delicious, and the couple of times I’ve had a lunch plate I have always left satisfied. Best breakfast tacos in San Antonio, no matter what the local magazine says!!!

It’s always the little places that you go to, expecting big things and this place did not disappoint. So good! Huge portions, they actually had hot-​hot sauce. Loved it. I would give it 6 stars if I could.

Extremely surprised this place doesn’t have more reviews! This small restaurant is right across the street from John Jay High School, so it’s «the spot» for a lot of high school students. I first learned about this place my freshman year of high school and I’ve loved it ever since. It’s a family owned business, ran by ‘Los Compadres’ and their daughters and son. Very friendly people. Food is GREAT. You can always enjoy a breakfast taco, no matter what time of day, they are always great. From the moment you sit down and have the chips and salsa which by the way are to die for, to the moment you leave this place, the experience is like no other. It’s one of those places you wish were open 24⁄7 let’s just put it that way.

Yeah… i like this place ok. The coffee isnt very good and i’m not a fan of the barbacoa but the rest is alright. Try the lemonade. People are friendly and fairly cheap.

Being relatively close to this Mexican restaurant my family chooses it frequently for breakfast tacos. The younger ones enjoy the bean and cheese, egg and bacon, and bean and bacon. I am all about the chicken enchilada mole. I get this every time that I go. I have tried other things but nothing else is nearly as good as the mole. It is a rather large portion and can easily make a meal for two or two separate meals for me! I have tried the carne guisada also, would not recommend, found it very chewy and fatty. Prices are very reasonable.
