The prices for just fries have gone up in the past 2 years just to let you fellow Unilocalers know for the small fries they now charge 2.00 but for a large it’s now 4 but everything else is still the same I believe.

Drove to this place after looking at the reviews. Turns out this place doesn’t even exist. This listing is outdated or something, there was no burger place here at all.

This place is so good. Fresh burgers with all the trimmings. It reminds me of Fatboy burgers in downtown EL Paso.

We tried this place for the first time on a Saturday. Lucky for us it was sav-ory Saturday in which a ¼lb burger, fries and a drink was $ 3.99. Sold! Everyone in the family got a sav-ory Saturday special. The patty was seasoned well and they fries were good. Nothing spectacular, but not bad. The am. Who helped us out was nice and have us the Hero sauce for fry dipping. It was good. Overall, the food was tasty, service was friendly and the dining area clean, prices reasonable… we’ll be back often.

The office lunch crew decided to brave the heavy construction on Marbach Road to seek out Hero’s. This small, out-of-the-way establishment is easy to miss – and I did! But once we finally found the place, we knew we had made a good choice for lunch. The ladies behind the counter were very friendly and happy to explain their varied menu. A whiteboard lists eight different lunch specials – complete with drink *and* tax – for just $ 6 apiece. And there are plenty of other great choices if you feel like being adventurous. I unimaginatively opted for the cheeseburger & fries combo. The cheeseburger was nice but not spectacular – somewhere between a Whataburger Jr. and a small burger at Brenda’s. The fries were very good: crisp and coated with German pommes frites seasoning. They even brought out a squeeze bottle of a ketchup-mayo mélange(«hero sauce») for us to dip the fries into. Hero’s is a lovely little local establishment that deserves your business. The restaurant is clean and charmingly decorated, the food is solid and the people are friendly. My only criticism is that the drinks are canned soft drinks – installing a soda fountain would make a better customer experience(and probably save them money in the long run). Check ‘em out!

The price is right at Hero’s Café & Catering. Six dollars will get you one of many lunch specials from a burger to a patty melt, chicken strips, to wings. There isn’t a fountain for drinks so all soft drinks are canned(no refills). However, if you choose the iced tea, punch, lemonade route, refills are allowed — self serve. Their lunch special for $ 6 choose one: 14 burger, 3 chicken strips, 5 chicken wings, 7 boneless wings, patty melt, fried chicken sandwich(includes fries & drink). I ordered the patty melt with fried mushrooms and a lemonade. The patty melt was ooey gooey goodness. It had plenty of cheese(American, I think), grilled onions, and a 14 pound patty. It was literally like a grilled cheese with onions and a burger. The mushrooms, however, were a bit of a letdown. The outside was crispy and crunchy but the inside was a bit doughy. The lemonade did not taste fresh squeezed. Too bad. They have an extensive burger menu with some eclectic burgers. I’m keen to try the Otto burger(American cheese, bacon, ham, and a hotdog) $ 5.95. All their burgers are under $ 6 except their«Be Your Own Hero» burger($ 6.95) where you can choose up to 6 toppings from their list which includes various cheeses, condiments, beans, salsa, egg, chili, bacon, BBQ sauce etc. TIPS: Make any burger a meal for just $ 1.50 more Sav-ory Saturday Special 14 burger meal for just $ 3.99

I was doing some shopping online for LED lights for my car and saw an ad on this site for this Burger Place. The food looked good and it wasn’t too far. I had the Raton burger. You could taste it was a freshly made burger. No frozen hockey pucks! The fries… No joke, are delicious! I also saw this place on ksat 12. No demerits! If you like burgers and are tired of the fast food chain. Stop by Hero’s!!!
