Never had a bad meal at Jims, my daughter always wants to go here. Bfast tacos are the best.

I rolled into Jim’s late(for me) after a comedy show nearby. Craving sweet carbs, we ordered buttermilk pancakes and french toast and were not disappointed. The pancakes were fluffy and a very nice size, complete with a 2 packets of butter-like product. The french toast was triangled, and sprinkled with powdered sugar. Both came with a small pitcher of faux maple syrup. This meal was an unusual and unexpected treat. If I’m in the area, I’d definitely go back again.

Where to start. The water tasted like you were chewing on stainless steel, the wait staff were too busy throwing stuff at each other behind the wall and the manager not once looked at a customer. We waited 28 minutes to get our food and still had not seen out waitress since she took the order. The floor stunk like sour milk and the bathroom was trashed. We left after we were ignored for almost 30 minutes. Never again!

Lol! We ordered chicken tortilla soup. There’s not even an accidental piece of chicken in the soup. The menu says there’s chicken in it, but the waitress says«Oh, it’s just suppose to be a sense of chicken.» A sense of chicken, I ask myself? I’ll have to summon my psychic powers to sense this chicken…*rolling my eyes*

Ask for grilled biscuits! In my opinion, biscuits taste the best when grilled with jelly and Jim’s does them well. The waiting staff here are very warm and hard working. My family and I come here often for Sunday morning breakfast. Love it!

I left Dennys super angry and hungry and I came here where my waitress Noël fixed all of my problems. I literally came in here with my eye twitching I was so upset. leaving full and super satisfied! Choose this place over Denny’s any day!

There are so many Jim’s in San Antonio we couldn’t help but eat here twice in our recent trip. This place was a hit with the BF but not so much for me. I did however like the old school diner feel to the place and loved the mix of clientele here. I’ve tasted their chicken fried steak which was pretty good and not too breaded, the chili burger(BF loved this one), BLT which was ultra greasy, their signature chili which warmed me in all the right areas and some things from their breakfast menu. Their pancakes here are light and fluffy. The food is so– so but their service is awesome and the portions of food are generous. Every waitress we had was so friendly and accommodating to all our condiment needs and I believe they are open 24 hours which is always a plus in my book!
