I went to the Longhorn with a friend at around 6:00 on Saturday night. It took about 10 minutes to be seated. The waitress was prompt with our water and ice tea … so we were off to a good start. We had a lot of catching up to do… so we ordered a crab and asparagus dip for an appetizer. The flat bread served with the dip was salted and tasty … it was fair for $ 9.49 …but, I would order something else the next time. We did a lot of chatting and our waitress was very patient waiting for our order. Finally, when she was ready to give up… but still smiling, we ordered one of the Specials. It was $ 12.99 for a 6oz center cut filet(you could upgrade size for an additional fee) I ordered mine medium and it was perfect and delicious, there was a choice of salad or soup(I got the salad with Blue Cheese and it was fine), there was also a choice of sides(I got a baked potato loaded), and finally we had a choice of a starter or a dessert. We already had the dip so we picked the dessert. I chose the banana cream pie. It was very average– filling with a meringue top(I personally like mine filled with bananas and a top made from whipped cream), but it was a good end to a great evening. Considering the price of $ 12.99 for a complete meal… plus the efficient service and great attitude of the waitress … I was pleased with my evening left a generous tip… plus parking fees for our extended time in prime time service. LOL. I took a bunch of selfies with my friend and headed home smiling. Yep… It was a five star evening.
