Stopped here in the morning to grab 2 dozen tamales for work. Came out to $ 17. Brought some leftovers for home and me and my family had some. We tasted them and they were not so good. It had a taste of burnt to them. I don’t think I’ll be going back. At least for the tamales.

Grabbed some barbacoa tacos on the way to work. When I opened them up the tortillas were soaked. Barbacoa was decent. Tortillas seemed NOT home made. There’s better barbacoa in SA that’s for sure.

Best menudo and tamales EVER! I moved to Houston 5 yrs ago, but every time i go home to SA we hit this place up on Sundays! you can say, its our family tradition! I want their recipe so bad. They don’t make food like this in Houston:(

Went here for the first time on a Sunday for some barbacoa to go. Got 1 lb barbacoa, pack of flour tortillas, and a liter of big red. Cost me about $ 16.50. The barbacoa was good, the tortillas were kind of tough and chewy for my taste. They kinda tasted like HeB bakery tortillas. What I did like was that they take credit cards, have many registers to get people in and out and have plenty of big red on hand. You cannot have barbacoa without big red! I will probably go here again.

Best menudo I’ve ever had at a restaurant in San Antonio. Place is always busy, and with good reason.
