So yummy! I got the red velvet and horchata while my boyfriend got coconut and tiramisu? Something like and both were really delicious. Something out of the norm yet reminds you of your favorite desserts. I would have to say my combo was better so everyone should definitely give that one a try! The place was in a little hidden nook. Had a nice patio as well!

We LOVE Iggy’s! This is our go-to spot during the summer or when we are craving something sweet. Often we will grab Iggy’s and eat it while walking down by the river. Like the other reviews say, you start by choosing your cup size — $ 3 for 3 layers/flavors, $ 5 for 5 layers/flavors. Then, you list the flavors in the order you want them on the cup with a Sharpie — so simple! The quality is excellent, the value is good, the place is clean, the service is quick, and the staff is friendly. You can’t ask for more than that! I’ve also visited the new location by HEB and it upholds the same standards, but this is my location of choice due to their proximity to the river.

Really neat place and a cool concept. They have Italian ice and ice cream, and lots of flavors on the big board. You start by picking your size cup, small or large, $ 3 and $ 5 respectively. The small cup allows up to three flavors and the large up to five. You can pick and choose between the ice and ice cream and write your selections on your cup with a sharpie. How you list the flavors determines how they are layered in the cup, so there are a million available combinations. I have yet to find a flavor I don’t like. The staff is always friendly. This is the second location I’ve been to in San Angelo and I’ve had good experiences at both of them. I recommend this place, they are pretty popular here and it’s easy to see why.

This place is great. When you walk in you select your size cup, pick up a sharpie and you choose your layers. You write your choices on the cup. Pretty cool. You choose from a long list of Italian ices and ice cream. They all sounds great. Been her twice and didn’t disappoint either time. The staff is super nice and always friendly. Great place to bring the kids and whole family. What a cool place.

5.0 Stars Location Overview: This location is in a great part of downtown. It is next to an antique store, sometimes it can be missed. This is a small location so if you are carpooling a large group of kids during the summer you may want to get a written order for all kids. Customer Service: Other than the cashier getting your ice for you, this dessert place is pretty much self serve. The cashier that assisted me and a friend was nice while grabbing our ice. He made small conversation and gave us a generous amount of dessert. Quantity/Quality: The quantity of this dessert place is pretty good. There are 2 sizes to choose from a small and a large cup. The small cup allows you to pick up to 3 flavors. The large cup allows you to pick up to 5 flavors. A black board shows 10+ flavors of ice to choose from and around 5 toppings to add to the ice. This dessert place definitely comes with tons of options. The quality of the flavored ice and toppings is on point as well. There are a few places that I have gone to that have flavored ice but it tastes like the ice with syrup poured on top. This flavored ice definitely has tons of flavor. Side Note: Pay $ 5.00 or $ 10.00 and you will be satisfied to quench a dessert thirst during the summer. More than 5 – 6 people in a group, DON’T carpool.

Far better than DQ or Baskin Robins. The large cup, though it doesn’t look like it, is far more than I could get through(well, that’s a lie, but i was full) My first visit, i just added random flavors that had no business being together. Still delicious. The second, cherry gelato and cheesecake ice cream. win. Also, the store has some great artwork that was done by a local(i think? don’t remember the story exactly) tattoo artist as well as the owner’s daughter. Cool little shop, hope it sticks around.

Italian ice that is very refreshing and delicious! A must after a walk in the park or on a hot day. Try the combination of mango, texas sunrise, and cotton candy. You will come back over and over again :) Staff is also very friendly and the place is kid friendly.

I’m really happy I found out about this place. Great flavors, love the idea of writing the flavors down on the cups, and prices aren’t bad at all. It doesn’t quit compare to Italian ice on the east coast, but it’s pretty good and for this area I can’t complain at all.

Mochacino is the best Italian Ice flavor imo, unfortunately they had run out in November and the last few times I was in town(they said they will bring it back soon if they haven’t already). The variety of choices are amazing and the concept is quite simple which makes this place a hit, oh and the stuff is delicious. Since the ice distinguishes this place than your normal creamery, always make sure to load up more on ice than ice cream imo of course. Can’t say I’ve had a lot of Italian Ice other than at Iggy’s, but the Italian Ice and Ice Cream combo they serve up here is a bright spot in this town that always seems to have restaurants and businesses open only to seemingly close less than a year or two later. This place is a must stop every time I visit San Angelo, that’s how good it is. Caution: the build your own concept relies on the consumer to have a slight idea of what flavors go well together. I’ve yet to have any negative experience here, two thumbs up!

We went a few months back and it was so good! A really fun experience! You write the flavors you want on a cup and then they fill it. I don’t remember what I had anymore but it was good. They have ice cream and Italian ice.

A really delicious twist to an ice cream stop. Has a refreshing atmosphere and friendly service. You make your own«gelati» by choosing 3(small size)/5(large) different frozen ice/ice cream flavors. Popular combinations would be the strawberry frozen ice with the cheesecake ice cream, or the salted caramel ice with the coffee espresso ice cream. I personally got a small cup with 1) yellow cake batter ice cream 2) cherry ice, and 3) cheesecake ice cream on the top. Completely delicious; I will definitely be coming here again.

Not worth your time. I stopped in only to be treated very rudely by the owner. I wanted to try a flavor and he acted like it was the hardest request ever. I’ve had a few experiences like this here. This place doesn’t care about customer service at all. It’s not even the best Italian ice in town.

Great italian ice and icecream(custard). My husband and I are both italian ice snobs and this is some of the best italian ice we have had anywhere. We tried the watermelon, strawberry and black cherry ice as well as the chocolate fudge and tiramisu icecream. All were delicious.

Loved my experience at Iggy’s! They have a large selection of both ice cream and Italian ice. My favorites were chocolate fudge, cheesecake and peach ice :) prices are great too, $ 3 for three flavors and $ 5 for five. You write what you want on your cup with sharpie and enjoy.

This place was hard to find, but worth the search. The prices are simple, $ 3 small $ 5 large and the portions are pretty large. We thought it was a cool idea that you get to write how you want it made(layers of Italian ice and layers of ice cream). It’s simple inside but there is a pretty big selection with some unique flavors.

Stopped here after lunch and errands with my brother who I was visiting. I am from Detroit area and have tasted quite a few Italian ice. The owner was behind the counter and I asked how and why he started this business. He was very friendly and informative. We both ordered a small. My brother had mango and liked it a lot. I had watermelon, peach & strawberry/kiwi. Loved it. Mine lasted all the way home in northern Tom Green County!(Abt 30 min drive).

To be totally transparent and up front: I’m not a fan of Italian Ice. Then why did I go there, you ask? Because my husband LOVES it, of course! I like that they keep it simple here: you pick up your cup, then write the flavors you want in the order you want them(3 or 5 choices per cup), then hand the cup over to someone behind the counter, they fill it up, you pay and enjoy! For my cup I went heavy on the ice cream since I’m not a fan of the ice. Here was my pairing: Vanilla Strawberry Vanilla That was some delish ice cream!!! Very creamy but almost kinda whipped-like consistency. I don’t do it justice with that explanation, but I’ll tell you, it’s GOOD! My only comlaint was that they offered little choices for someone who doesn’t like Italian Ice. But then again, if you don’t like it, THENWHYGOTHERE? Unless like me, you go there because someone you’re with wants to go and you’re not the selfish type to deny someone you love a good treat(& yes, the ice cream was really that good). And according to the hubs, the Italian Ice is great & so worth it!(Thus the reason I gave it 4 stars instead of just 3). I love the rotating flavors — way to keep it interesting and the simplicity of this little place. Not to mention it’s a cool building!!!(Albeit hard to see from the street) In a town like this, Iggy’s is a welcome refreshing treat!
