Woo-hoo! I really enjoyed my night here with a friend. Disclaimer: The inside portion of the restaurant is not impressive. But you come here for the music. So go out back, behind the restaurant to the patio section, enjoy the live great music, lights, and atmosphere! People are dancing, sitting all around, and it’s an awesome experience. The service is great, and they have a tasty little B.L.T. Decent beers on tap. Sadly, their not interested in buying their liquor license because apparently they do FiFi’s as well. $ 6,000 a bar is a bit expensive I s’pose. Nonetheless, the atmosphere outback, mixed with the band they had at the time, I loved it and consider it a top restaurant in the San Angelo area. P. S. They changed addresses apparently from 208 to 204 S Oakes St. Many of the pictures don’t reflect the current venue. Go to their website for their actual number as the one listed on here is wrong.

Sucks if what these reviews say is true. It’s closed… This was our spot for local music, and to eat their scrumptious quail. Perfect downtown location with some history to go with it. Prices were slightly steep but I never complained. Cool story: we came here during a rainstorm and the owner was so thankful we came to eat while it was storming that he let us pick out any appetizer or dessert we wanted on the house. Pretty sure he made the same offer to everyone that came in during that time. Solid character.

Just had some drinks here but I did like the place. I sat outside on a cool evening and really liked the band playing. Just when I was getting in the groove, an idiot workmate of mine wanted to go. He was at a lame spot just down the road and heard about a place where moronic doofuses like to hang out. Since that is his scene, he wanted to go. He had the car keys so I was forced to leave. I am sad I did not get to stay around and enjoy more drinks!

What a pleasant surprise for Sunday brunch. With create your own omelettes and $ 4 bloody Mary’s you can’t go wrong! Great food, only problem is no one was there. Should have been pa Jed with quality food for great value!

Food was not well prepared, not much taste… will not eat here again. Music was way too loud for the little area which took away from what looks like a cool place.

Soooo disappointed! Service was just horrible…:(. Food was from a box. Had to pay a five dollar cover each and within twenty minutes of sitting down they had small kids running around with buckets asking for more money for tips. They allow solicitation so we were hounded by people wanting money for their cause. Next, waitress told us they had Sam Adams on draft, we ordered it but it was the summer ale not the lager, not what we wanted but drank it anyway. Wrong fries brought with dinner and never received napkins, had to search them out on our own! Crawfish queso is good, but pulled pork sandwich was nowhere near pulled pork and had zero flavor, it had honey mustard on it, really? We will NEVER return and plan on letting all the people we know about the negative experience. So much potential but truly an epic failure!!!

Saturday Blues Breakfast — oh, yeah. The food: There is some seriously good home cooking going on at Sealy Flats on Saturday mornings. In addition to a different special each week, there are everybody’s favorites, like omelettes, french toast, eggs-potatoes-meat breakfasts, and plenty of hot coffee and your typical breakfast/brunch cocktails. The service: It’s just T, doing all the hosting, table-waiting, and cashing out. Seems he could use some help juggling all that, but he gets it done and the food comes out hot. The décor: Honestly, I sit outside at the sidewalk tables because the main room in the place just has bar stools. Outside is great and there are plenty of folks out there, but there is no music, and there are flies. So that’s kind of a bummer. I would sit inside if there were some normal tables and chairs. What’s weird: The coffee cups are an odd assortment that look like they came from Goodwill.

Quaint little restaurant with a juke joint feel. I had the Bourbon Burger with cheese and beacon. AWESOME. As for the entertainment, I walked in on an acoustic musician who did very well. Behind her was a blues band, just what I was looking for. The menu was simple, but there’s something for everyone. There was a cover charge of $ 5. Beer on tap, wine as well. I hope I helped out. Had such a blast at this place! Food was great, music was good, and service was outstanding! We were just walking around downtown and decided to stop in to have a drink and ended up waiting on the band to get there and we ate dinner. Food was so good and our waiter T was wonderful. Kept our drinks cold all night long. Such a great little hole in the wall and can’t wait to go back!

The couple of times I have been here they have great music. The food isn’t bad but nothing to talk about. A buddy that was with me ordered a beer and every time he got a new one it came in a different glass which was weird.

Worthless place. Frozen everything including the service. Avoid it unless you’re homeless and they are giving away a turkey dinner. It shut down shortly after my last review. Guess what? Some chowderheads have decided to pool their pennies and re-open. Expect more of the same. Plus worse music. Let a sleeping dog sleep.

The scratch made strawberry pancakes and sausage for Saturday morning breakfast were delicious. The Sealy Sunrise cocktail was equally good. The atmosphere was fun, friendly and quirky. Live Blues musicians really made the experience enjoyable. To top it off, our server, T, was one of the best I’ve ever had. Great teamwork amongst the staff makes sure all guests are happy.

The music and patio atmosphere were pretty good, but the restaurant was terrible. It literally took over an hour to get us our food. Not only that but they ended up giving away part of our order to another group by accident and got half our orders wrong. So to sum it up, live blues music good, food ir terrible.

I agree with some of the other reviewers: the ambiance is fun, the restaurant is no good. This was one of the first places we went when we moved here and we took some friends. Drinks to FOREVER to get, which was weird because I am 100% sure there were only about 4 or 6 patrons TOTAL in the whole restaurant… not sure why it takes them over 15 minutes to get our drinks. The worst part? The tea was made with San Angelo water so half the table had to order a SECOND drink after waiting so long for the first one since the tea was undrinkable. Not wanting to be responsible for any longer of a wait than we had to — we all ordered when the drinks arrived. Considering the most labor-intensive item we ordered was a quesadilla, I imagined the rest(soups & salads) I thought it would arrive quickly. WRONG. Luckily the band outside was entertaining enough so for the most part we were not really concentrating on the long wait. The food was mediocre, which would have been ok except the bill was extravagant! Add to that the mandatory tipping we had to give the band(we were told if we wanted to sit outside we had to tip the band) and I was almost confused into thinking we’d dined at a fine restaurant. For the price and the poor service, I’d rather not return here, and haven’t’ been back since… even if the music was good.

This is a conflicting review, I LOVE the music there, I dislike the food and service. I also hate covers in San Angelo, seriously, what on EARTH am I paying for? So, bravo Sealy Flats for avoiding that, even with live music. Instead of making you pay up before you even enter, they bring a tip jar for the musicians around every hour or so which is awesome. It’s just a different way of doing things that doesn’t rub me the wrong way and I gladly contribute. Inside, it’s a typical bar, however, their back patio is where it’s at. Besides the country feeling of being under a tent with decorations, the blues music just builds on that sensation and it really works. After one live performance, the musicians stopped by the tables thanking people for attending, etc and even stayed for about an hour at our table just talking about their tour, ideas for future events, and other fun personal stories they had from their trip At the end of the day, come for the music and ambiance. The drinks are a bonus

I went to Sealy Flats and I really enjoyed myself. I walked in and was seated promptly in the patio area. It was a beautiful day and I was seated in a nice spot at the bar in the shade. There was a musician playing his guitar and it really set a nice vibe to the place. The décor was really fun and took you to a different time and place. I also appreciated the lovely bras and panties hanging from the rafters and strings of lights :) I ordered an ice tea and Gulf Coast Salad. The salad was pretty good but the atmosphere is what really carries the place. I’ve gotta say that I received really good service while I was there too. If the food were better I’d give 5 stars…

When we looked at the tiny menu, we thought we had made a mistake. Boy, were we wrong. What came out was simply lovely(especially for the price!!!). Also, my husband was going to eat somewhere else, but before he knew it, he had stuffed himself full of part of my plate! Also, the owner came out to talk to us and was interesting company. While we were there, we toured the restored hotel they own next door, and it definitely peaked our interest for a weekend getaway. Last of all, looks like they have a great blues lineup!
