Wonderful live music. Ashley was a great bartender and the cake for our anniversary, gratis, was a nice touch! Def check it out. Different artists every night.

Heading back to our hotel at the Hampton and heard a fabulous female singer through the outside speakers
Went in search of the location of this lovely voice and it was coming from Alvins
We went in for a glass of wine and stayed about an he, totally enjoyed the low key atmosphere

Alvin’s always has great music and the food menu that seems to be changing along the way is really good for a late night snack.
And the owner is the best host in St Pete.
Worth checking out for sure.

Wandered in the other night with a group after dinner. Very nice décor, good wine selection (no liquor), and a pretty good piano guy. We did not try the food, but what I saw looked appealing. Owner came over to welcome us and introduce himself — a nice touch. My last comment, and not meant negatively, is the crowd was a bit older than we expected.

I stopped by Alvin’s Lounge because a friend of mine was preforming with the Gypsy band, Kafkasso. I wasn’t aware that it was a «Special Event» night, so when I wandered in, I was a touch confused. But the Owner, Alvin, greeted me asked my name and was very gracious. I let him know I was there to support one of the dancers, and he was very happy to have me. I pulled up a place at the bar — as all the seats otherwise were reserved due to a birthday party.
I reserved another seat at the bar for the Mother of the dancer, and waited, while taking advantage of the $ 5 Vanilla Martini special — really nice. When the rest of my party arrived, we took up the space we could at the bar, ordered our drinks and waited for the band to play… And play they did! They were Amazing!
I found out that there was a «long bar» menu, which had a nice selection on it. My friend ordered a meat & cheese plate, that was $ 13.00. I had no idea how they could charge that much for it. When it was simply a few slices of salami, some ham, some. Bologna? we weren’t sure. There were some nice cheeses, and then there were saltines. Yep, saltines. This plate wasn’t worth the price they were charging for it.
I ordered a Ceasar salad, and it was good, the dressing was garliky and fresh, the cheese was yummy, but the croutons were peperidge farm. *chuckles* They were a fine side, but they didn’t belong on the salad.
Over all, this is a great place to come, to drink and listen to some AWESOME music. To chill with your friends, but pass on the food.

Wonderful, grown-​up, intimate lounge! Live music, different genre every night… Tuesday is Latin, Thursday is piano bar, Sunday old school jazz but weekends are always different. Kafkasso is my favorite. It’s a group that plays every few weeks — classical Spanish guitar, classical violin player, drums, bongo, etc who play gypsy music and bring belly dancers.

What wonderful musical offerings any night of the week and an owner who makes you feel welcome all the time. Ambiance is great!
