Proof : Cocktail Club

I had no idea St. Pete had a speakeasy and it was my first time going to one. I liked the whole secrecy aspect of getting into the bar which was neat and different. Neat atmosphere, I didn’t drink but my friends did and they said the drinks were delicious. The only thing I thought was off was that it was next to a club and the music was very loud. When I think of a speakeasy I don’t think of loud music where people dance at. I would come back and try the drinks out. Definitely not a place to go to for your first drink.

This was a cool little private bar. We needed a password to enter. The ambiance was swanky but felt comfortable as well. There was an outdoor patio as well. We order fancy drinks and they were absolutely delicious. The drinks were a little expensive but that’s to be expected for a nice bar atmosphere. Because of the private password, the place was not super crowded so there was alot of space to sit. The service was fast and friendly. I would recommend to anyone looking for a more upscale lounge atmosphere.

Proof is BOMB. I’ve never been to a speakeasy that requires a password. We went with a group of about 10 people and I made them let me say the password. I suggest you do the same. Its the coolest.
Atmosphere is loungey and comfortable, with great seating outside as well. It’s a sexy spot for sure. The cocktails and the service were nothing short of amazing. The bartenders are some of the best I’ve seen anywhere. I wasn’t sure what I wanted so my friend an I both we with something «Autumn-​y». We had a bourbon-​apple-​ish concoction complete with singed cinnamon sticks and orange peel. It was amazing. Hubby got some of the best manhattans that he’s ever had. I can’t wait to come back!

Proof: Cocktail Club is one of my favorite places to go in all of St Pete! While there is a club next door, and I tend to avoid clubs, Proof itself has an atmosphere that is entirely unique and worth it. The drinks are wonderfully made and made quickly. I haven’t had such good drinks and nice bartenders in some time. Cannot recommend enough!

Nice and relaxing atmosphere to cap the night off at! I was having a girls night in St. Pete and we wanted to go somewhere with craft cocktails but also where we would be able to have a conversation and I had remembered hearing about this speakeasy! After reading a few articles I went on their Facebook to get the password for the night which we ended up not really needing. It is kind of difficult to find the door because it looks like it enters into a storage closet of some sort but it is on the left hand side right before the row of bathrooms. Once inside I also saw that there was a curtain entrance beforehand that we could have entered through but of course it’s way more fun to enter through a sketchy random door.
There weren’t that many people when we first arrived since it had just opened at midnight, which was nice. There were booths to lounge at and also seats outside on the the balcony which was nice. We took a seat at the bar and waited a little bit before we were tended to which is understandable at a craft cocktail bar. I ordered what was some sort of bramble type drink and was delicious. The second drink I ordered, however, was the «chai bye» and was it uhhhhmazing. I couldn’t tell you what they put in in but all I know is that you should order it and I will be craving it until my next visit. So glad that we were able to find this hidden gem!

Proof is the real deal. Go see Pete and go dealers choice. He never disappoints and makes the best drinks around.

Super fun place. Great bartenders. The drinks tasted absolutely amazing. When a friend didn’t see anything on the menu he wanted, the bartenders made something up for him based on what he said he wanted.
The only challenge is that it’s literally right next to a nightclub so when that music starts, Proof’s music had to get super loud to compete.
Will def be back!
