Sip Social Lounge

SIP has new owners and management. It’s very chic and nice inside. They have VIP bottle service. Good DJ. Beautiful lighting. Great for a night out or a celebration. Wasn’t crowded the last time I went. Had fun with my friends and relaxing. Watching people dance the night away.

Nice music. Nice ambience. Strong drinks. No cover. Just need more people there.

Were from Miami. This place is great, a mini LIV. Music is great, bottles are dirt cheap, décor chic. People in this town don’t get it though, they don’t know how to party. ;)

Not my scene at all. Not sure how it fits into the DTSP vibe. Maybe if I were 21 again I would like it.

A-​OK is exactly how this place was but will a lot of potential to be awesome. I absolutely love the décor. Very friendly and helful staff. My only dislikes were the young crowd and lack of variety in the music… I’ll have to try a different night to be a better judge of both crowd and music. Some of dress code would probably make SIPs a lot better quality place to hang out with friends.

The décor is very chic. Love the chandeliers and sofas. The front door staff was polite and nicely dressed. Bartenders were helpful and we got a free drink always a plus. DJ was decent. Crowd that goes dresses shabby which is sad considering décor and ambiance of place. I can see why a lot of places have dress codes.

Unprofessional low class owner… Don’t go here! Not impressed! I was outside on sofa they have on sidewalk … I was trying to reach my freinds and I was thier ride. I didn’t know if they were in this club or not but talked about it earlier … Anyways various people sit down and come and go as I was trying to reach my freinds. Then some guy in worn blue jeans tells me to” get up and you won’t go to jail!” — Thats how he approched me… Really? I wasn’t bothering anyone and didn’t even drink. after I got up. I asked who he was. Claimed he was the owner … Looks like a young punk and poor additude to match I was dressed a lot better than him! After I got up then tells me I can’t even stand there… mind you I not near door. Or doing anything wrong! This is how this owner treats customers?! I’m a business owner myself … This is not how you treat customers!– threatens them with jail just sitting on sofa ?! GOOD BYE! I’m going to other bars and clubs that treat me better!
No other club has ever threatened me with jail!-EVER!!!

Whenever we make the trip over from Orlando. We usually end up here. I am a big fan of smaller intimate venues and this one does the trick. Staff is great and the service is on point. If you get a table. request #4.

Went here last weekend with my girlfriends after leaving View 19 in disappointment and SIP saved the night. Music and drinks were on point and we will definitely be back. but… the GOGO dancers couldn’t be any worse lol

This is the place to go if you are young want to get dressed up with your girlfriends and go out on the town for a classy night of dancing & cocktails! The décor is so modern chic its a beautiful place! Good DJ the few times I have went with a great mixture of music.

I wanted to love this place, I truly did. Anytime a new, upscale lounge comes to town I immediately want to embrace it and become a regular, but Sip makes it hard to do so.
It’s different than most upscale night clubs in St. Pete as it’s more geared towards the «bottles» crowd. It seems that the old Vintage crowd has just moved down a block since it’s closed and now frequent Sip. It’s hard to get a drink at the bar and one time I was there it was extremely hot and smoky (not sure if smoking is allowed inside but my eyes were watering). The music is decent though and the dance floor area is large, so if dancing is your main priority — there won’t be any problems with accomplishing it at Sip.
