Bishop Tavern & Lounge

If you are over the age of 25 and want to regain that feeling again, make plans for a night out at this bar — It’ll do the trick.
1. The music is great — a great mix of hip-​hop and top 40.
2. $ 10 All You Can Drink — enough said. No further explanation needed. Maybe just a little more — that includes top shelf.
Honestly, this place is not the most upscale establishment, but it’s great for a night out with the boys or a group of friends looking to have an old fashioned good time.

So. this place is kind of strange to me. The fact that it is $ 10 all you can drink on Fri from 9 – 11 makes me want to give it 5 stars, but I just don’t think that I can. The downstairs is an older style Irish Pub. It is very long and narrow but roomie enough for quite a few people.
The upstairs is a classy club. It looks to be a place that would be very popular in the later hours of the night, however, when I was there it was completely dead. I had a great time here, but don’t foresee it being a spot that I frequent on a regular basis. A-​okay is about right for Bishop!

It really depends on the night on whether this place is fun or not.
There is an upstairs that is nice to hang out and where there is more dancing than downstairs. The downstairs is pretty underwhelming and really just serves as a place to get drinks.
They have changed the nights, so I’m not quite up to date on which night is which, but at one point, one night was college students drink free and another was ladies drink free (I think they have now combined it to be the same night, but I’m not sure). This is pretty awesome if you have a college I.D. or are a woman. However, this also means that there is a young crowd on certain nights. I for one do not like to go to a club and feel old (and I’m only 23), yet here I do.
I would recommend this place to college students looking to have a crazy time. To everyone else, I say enter with caution.

I have some fond memories of Bishops, been here on many occasions. First, I really dig the New Orleans style they have going on. I also like it when the entertainment is up high. You can always get a good view. Here the entertainment is upstairs in the main bar. You can’t get the best view, but it is still pretty decent.
One of my favorite things about Bishops is the lounge area. I like the couches Always a fun place to hang out. Much more relaxing in there and the volume level actually goes down enough to have a conversation.
They have a decent amount of TVs. Not to many, but I got to see my Michigan State Spartans playing on numerous occasions.
I never recall having to wait to long to be served a drink. That is also nice. Some places like this can be so slow when it gets crowded. But I was here with some big crowds and never had any problems.
One thing I really liked when I was a student was that Tuesday night they had really good specials if you showed your student ID. I think it was free domestic beer until 10. Not sure if that special is still going on, but it was great as a student.
Overall, Bishops is definitely a place a the younger crowd. It also gets pretty crowded on the weekends. But I have never had a bad time here, always had a good time.

I love the atmosphere and versatility of this place. If you are in the mood to be chill, hear decent music, shoot pool, play beer pong or belly up to the bar then stay downstairs.
If you have your heels on, are out with your girls and ready to party then go upstairs. Want to take a break from the dance floor? Go sit on the balcony and order another drink. Versatility.

We went to Bishop’s during First Friday and paid $ 10 for all you can drink happy hour from 9−11pm.
Our admission into Bishop allowed us to enter into the nightclub once it opened and continue enjoying our free drinks.
Can’t complain!

Used to think this place was cool. Saw Evan Longoria partying there even. Then my friend got ruffied there. Never been back if it attracts douche bags that ruffy people.

We checked this place out on a Thursday night. It was underwhelming, but our lady friends enjoyed their free drinks while we had some shots and tried to enjoy the night out in Downtown St. Pete. It didn’t get very packed and the bouncers were way too crazy about the free drink thing. It was a decent place to hang out for a few hours, but honestly I have experienced much better.

Dont go here at all. So suppressed here of diversity. Sad Its 2012 and you can’t except people for who they are. This is becoming quite known. For Im al the way in Pennsylvania and am hearing about how Horrible it is there!

My kind of spot, the night I went– they played metal, industrial, punk, etc. The DJ even played my requests, HA. No cover, drink specials are ongoing. If I’m ever in the Tampa area again, I will be back!

There is barely a nightlife in St. Petersburg. That said, I guess this was the «cool» bar to go to. I was there in late May on vacation and got to the bar around 10 on a Saturday night. It was pretty empty even when I gave up and left around 12:30. On the bright side, there was no cover and the beer was cheap.
