I was HUGE fan of this place when it was Rickeys. As in I used to eat there at least once a week for their Habanero Wings because I love spicy food. We ordered a few burgers which were very good with the exception of 1 which was cooked medium when we wanted it well done. I also ordered 10 of their Miami Heat Wings. These wings aren’t what I typically like as they are not breaded and the flats still have the tips connected but I wanted to give them a try. If these are the hottest wings they have, I would hate to taste the mild ones. They were more salty than spicy. I would go back for the burgers but it probably won’t be any time soon.

Yesterday I had some of the best wings I’ve ever had in my life. They were crispy and cooked perfectly. I like the setup of the place too. All types of seating options. From the bar to booths to high tops. Only downfall of the place is that it’s basically hidden behind a Chase bank.

After living and growing up in Pembroke Pines for over 15 years, I have never been to this spot! I know it used to be Ricky’s but I did not get to eat here until a few months ago with a group of friends for a birthday. They allow group parties which you are given a private room which is nice. I did not eat much but I did have a few drinks and the grilled wings. To my surprise they were great! They were tender and had a nice char. The service was ok. My server at the time must have been new because she did not have much knowledge about what beers were on tap and which weren’t. Overall this bar is what you’d expect from a bar. It is comparable to a Flanigan’s. Nothing too special about the décor or drink selection but the wings are yummy.

I have gone here when it was Rickys, changed to something else, back to Rickys, and now Sports Grill. This night was hanging with good friends and they had a support night for Flanagan HS baseball. It’s nice for restaurant to support the local team. Also they had poker night and my friends able to play which was cool. Nice happy hour specials: domestic beer $ 3, wine $ 5, Amsterdam Vodka $ 5, and certain appetizers. Ordered cheese and chips and stuffed mushrooms, both were delicious !!! Main meal was Italian sandwich with waffle fries and surprisedly was awesome. Great meal ! Very please of food and atmosphere. One reason it was not 5 stars was the staff. The waitresses were nice and very helpful but within 10 mins was spoken to 4 different waitresses. No organization.

This is my neighborhood go to place. Sometimes my husband and I don’t want to fuss with crowds or drive far and this place is right up the street from us and usually seat us right away. Recently they added breakfast and for us this is a plus. So far we have went every weekend since they added it. We also meet up with our neighbors here because they have really cold beer and it’s a nice place to sit and chat and eat their chicken wings which are really tasty. The service is always very good and friendly. Not a fan of their burgers but they have a awesome Chicken sandwich which is a must have for me and usually what I order. The Philly Cheese sandwich is also a good pic. I’ve have not tried the ribs but will one day soon.

Their chicken wings are so delicious! I haven’t had chicken wings so tasty before. So happy they’re close by where I live. Service was exceptional and we had a huge group with us. Happy customer and will continue going to this restaurant.

I used to go to Rickey’s ALLTHETIME. Once it turned into Sports Grill, I was pretty disappointed. I mean, it’s not the worst food in the world, but it’s just typical bar food. I’ve had multiple dishes there and nothing has really wowed me. It was more substance than food food. The sauces for the wings are really salty, and the fried shrimp is definitely less of something to be desired. The wait time is always ridiculous; even if there aren’t that many customers in the joint. If it’s my only option for late night, I’ll go, but if something else is open, I’ll choose the second option.

Unfortunately, living with three boys(including Husband!), I end up at sports bars way more often than I like. Sports Grill Pembroke Pines is definitely one that is not at the top of my list. We went because Husband raved about the Grilled Wings so that is what three of us ordered for our entrée. The wings were actually very good. I First of they, were huge! I could actually only eat about 5 or 6 before I was full. Second, the flavor was really different than other wings I have had. I am so used to the flavor of the grilled wings at Anthony’s Coal Fired Pizza(and imitators) that it was refreshing to taste a grilled wing with a completely different flavor. However, I would not drive out of my way for these wings. My 12 year old got a Pulled Pork Sandwich instead of the wings. He liked it but I tasted it and thought it was awful… the pork mixture was way to saucy and sickly sweet. Yuck! The fries that came with it were so average. We did get a couple of appetizers to start. After all, there is a 30% off Unilocal check in off plus many of the appetizers were half. price when we were there(maybe due to happy hour?) We ordered Onion Rings, Mozzarella Sticks, and Buffalo Wings. They were all terrible! Yes, I know… all fried junk food items. But believe it or not I have seen all of these items done better elsewhere. The Buffalo Shrimp was like frozen fried shrimp with hot sauce thrown on it. Service was fast… almost too fast. Everything except the wings came out in about one minute. Great If you are I a hurry but makes me wonder about the care that goes into preparing this stuff!

There is nothing like meat fresh off the grill and this place doesn’t disappoint. I had been hearing about Sports Grill wings from my male coworkers for years and never really paid them any attention. Finally, one of the local restaurants got bought out and replaced by Sports grill, we had never been to the former but I told my hubbs that my coworkers swore by their wings so coupon in hand, there we went. WINGS: Easy 5*. I don’t know anywhere else in south Florida with such good wings. Their sauce for the Special Grill is ridiculous and the wings are grilled fresh, not fried so much healthier for you. My husband and I can clear 20 of these with no problem, it’s so sad! The only downside is they’re too spicy for my toddlers so we always have to order them something else. I love the Dale too, which you’d think were pronounced the spanish way(like let’s go), but nope, the gringo way, I guess named after some dude named Dale. Lol. We get their wings for pick up often and eat inside also. They can get pretty packed with little kiddie teams, but this location is out of the way for most so we’ve never waited for a table. Their wraps, burgers, and anything else with meat off of their grill is really good also. They also have .65 wings Monday 4-close. Don’t sleep on it!

The wings were pretty good! We ordered the grilled wings, the teriyaki, garlic, and Miami Heat. Everyone at the house loved all of them. I recommend the wings!

The grilled wings are hands down the best wings I have ever had. They are so unique and we order them at least once a week. The service here is very slow. Many times we have waited 10 minutes or more before our drink order was even taken at our table. Getting a drink at the bar takes even longer. I really miss Tony from when it was Rickey’s. He made it feel like a hometown bar«where everybody knows your name.» The Sports Grill bartenders make you feel like just another customer.

I ate at sports grill on Sunday. I ordered the house chicken wings grilled. I ordered 10 half of them were very good half below average. Service not the best for getting refills on drinks. I ordered a shrimp basket to go(big mistake) The shrimp were under cooked and the toughest shrimp I’ve ever bitten into Fries were ice cold. No tarter sauce for shrimp and no ketchup for fries. Suppose to get coleslaw none there. Up there with the worse food I’ve ever had. Had to throw it in the garbage. I’ve eaten at sports grill on sunset and was always good. They should take cooking lessons from that location.

Since they came under new ownership this place is the bomb. Great wings and cold beer, need I say more? Plus — they are very helpful with the West Broward High School JROTC which is a BIGPLUS in my book. Plenty of TVS — you can enjoy American football as well as European football(or what we call soccer — and all sports in between. This is a must stop for any sports fan in the area.

I have been here before and it was just ok. Their beer selection was pitiful and their food was alright. I recently went back because I heard that they upped their game. They were not wrong. Their beer selection has gone up and our server was attentive. The waitress could have been a little more attentive, but it’s understood when you’re busy. Their beer was cheap($ 5.50 for a pint of Magic Hat #9, $ 14.50 for a pitcher). Their special grilled wings were also pretty good, as well as their waffle fries.

Was recommended by friends but their experience was much different then mine. I ordered the tuna melt which is a simple item to make. I was disappointed when I got my food. First, the bread looked like sliced Italian bread so the sandwich was approximately 5 inches wide. Between the small sliced were less than an ounce of tuna and it wasn’t even white tuna. It was the cheaper light tuna! I had more cheese than tuna! The fries were sad and luke warm. Probably frozen. When I paying $ 9 for a sandwich I expect to get what I paid for. Not here. The service was really good but it didn’t match the quality and value of the food.

Been here many times. The staff is always friendly and attentive. The special grilled wings are the best I’ve had and I tried a lot. The burgers are great. The beer is always served ice cold. Great place.

This place is awesome. Not only do they have an amazing happy hour(see photo), but they also have a Touch Tunes jukebox and a couple arcade games. Sold! The inside reminds me a bit of the Ale House, but a little more personal. It’s not as overwhelming. The bartenders were both friendly and attentive. The happy hour bites were delicious. We had the nachos n’ cheese & the quesadillas. All in all, there was a nice vibe, and it was a great place to meet friends and chill. Now that I know about this location, I will definitely be back for more!

Came here for the first time to watch the UFC Fights. Compared to the other places around showing the fights this place was pretty quite. The wings were amazing.

Came because of the crazy amount of marketing I get mailed to my house(the junk mail works!) I have been here before when it used to be Rickey’s and not much of the set up has changed… wait in fact NOTHING has changed. We ordered wings and fries and it was just okay. The place was dead, and location is honestly really weird that I feel affects the business way too much. Not something I would crave but the deals they give out it is worth trying.

Had the grilled Dale wings. It was wings covered in salt. Forget the heat it was suppose to carry. My wife had the regular grilled wings. Can anyone say salty? The same goes for the fries. I keep trying to tell myself to try and like this place. It’s just not happening. The manager was very polite and gave us discount coupons for next time.

This was out first time eating at Sports Grill and we chose it on a whim for a Saturday lunch. We arrived about 12 and it was a dead zone — honestly I wondered if we should stay and try it — and I am SO glad we did! Beth was our server and she was very attentive. Our order came out perfect and the food all looked homemade in the best way, an absolutely delicious(it was!) I ordered a salad + blackened chicken, and my boyfriend had the fried shrimp basket. I liked mine a lot more than his. With our $ 5 margaritas, the total came out to about $ 33. I would recommended upgrading to a better tequila base for the margarita for just a few dollars more. At the end, once Beth heard it was our first time visiting, she actually brought us out a few of their signature signature wings. She says it’s what they built her business on, and I can see why. The service really made the visit for me — above and beyond. Oh, and by the time we left, the place was packed! All about the timing I guess.

Tucked away behind a car wash, one would only be able to find this place by social media, word-of-mouth, and by pure coincidence. I do love a good sports bar and a hole-in-the-wall treasure blind to the rest of the public, even if the generic name threw me off a bit. Therefore, my expectations were average. I left satisfied but uninspired. I was a part of a large party of about 20 or so, making the divided attention of the staff a bit chaotic. Our servers(their names escape me) were attentive but a bit oblivious. One in particular was about as full of life as a bag of rocks. To be fair, a group of this size required more attention, yet coordination lacked at best. Requests were incorrect, but fixed quickly. My second beer was not what I requested, but was forgivable since it was the same as the first. Service gets a free pass on this one. The Chicken Fingers and Chicken Philly were surprisingly devoid of flavor, strange since every other sports grill I’ve frequented had some form of sauce on any Philly they served. Honey mustard cured the chicken fingers, but the only happiness from my Philly came from the beer chaser. The beer was also brought fresh from the Arctic, as a thin sheet of ice formed on the top. The menu had no stand-out items, which is a big turn off for me. Perhaps something original and homemade would spruce it up. As much as I could give a recommendation to this place, I can only suggest it to those in need of sports, booze, pub grub, and happen to live closer than a few miles. The Unilocaler Christine M. is amazing in taking the time to respond to us reviewers no matter how harsh we may sound, but I give no promise of returning for a second chance. The madhouse of a group I came with may have soured it a little, but the service and food have tipped the scale back to zero for me. UPDATE: The fact that this place has only been open a short time slipped my mind when writing this review. While I stand by it as this was a first impression for me, I may provide a second chance in the coming months and update the review accordingly. Thanks to Christine for pointing that out, and I will try the wings next time.
