We just had the most amazing lunch here. Our server Lindon was First Class. We were a party of 6 people and he was outstanding. Four of us ordered the grouper over angel hair pasta and it was everything I could do to not lick my plate! It was THATGOOOOOD! My other friend had the mussels and she enjoyed hers as well. Ed is a incredibly talented chef and he came to the table to ask how we enjoyed our meals… I want to clone him! SUPERFOOD… SUPERSERVICE!!!

We had reservations for 5:00pm on Father’s Day. We were seated immediately. The service was excellent. We ordered the Flash-Fried Calamari for an appetizer. My husband tried the Monkey Fist IPA. For dinner my husband ordered the Delmonico Rib Eye with a loaded baked potato and seasonal vegetables, I ordered the Ten Spice Glazed Salmon with curried couscous and green beans, my children has the kids cheese burger and chicken tenders. All the food was very filling, the steak was a little salting but still very delicious. The Salmon is a great size, I only wish for a little more of the glaze. The kids portions are large and my kids enjoyed their meal. We will be going back because the Pork Belly tacos are calling my name

I’ve been here a handful of times, and it’s always good. I recommend the 5 oz filet mignon if you’re here for lunch– it’s super yummy and only about $ 14. I had the french toast with strawberries and hashbrowns today and it was pretty yummy, but not the best I’ve ever had. If you’re hoping for normal hash browns, like the ones with shredded potatoes, don’t order a side of hash browns. Their hash browns are basically just cooked, chopped up pieces of potato. It appears that their brunch now comes with a free mimosa for everyone at the table who is eating, so that’s a really nice touch! They also appear to have a pretty good happy hour, which I hope to try out soon. Overall, a good restaurant. Worth the price, but it doesn’t ever really blow me away. Our waitress today was April, and she was great! Also, if you ever make reservations here and show up a little early, they usually take you right away anyway.

Very nice happy hour menu. Went there tonight. The prime rib sandwich is a great deal and is very tasty. I have been there a bunch of times and it is always consistently good. This place draws a very nice crowd, but if you go there for happy hour, make sure that you are there early or else it may be difficult to get a seat!!!

Sunday brunch is really great! Got here before the crowd around 11 and was sat right away, no waiting,(yup! I said no waiting!) The bacon wrapped scallops are a must! soooo great. Large plump scallops cooked to perfection. I also ordered the crab cake benedict. The crab cake was nice and crispy, real crab, and a hint of lemon. Very delicious! My favorite on the list of different benedicts they offer. The service was wonderful. Our server was very knowledgeable on all of the items on the menu and also the bar menu as well. He helped me choose a delicious drink. I truly love this place and is my go to brunch spot.

Village tavern is a great place to go with a group of friends because of the variety of food it offers, but my favorite time to go must be brunch on Sundays. The special menu allows you to order a waffle or crab cakes, and everything in between. Plus a free mimosa or glass of wine!

When I worked in the restaurant business I accepted that it was difficult to find a place with good food and good service. I think that I have been absent from the industry long enough that my expectations are now equal to the general public. This is my second trip here and the most notable aspect of both visits is the agonizingly, painfully slow service. This has been a two hour dinner based solely on the fact that the server only comes by once every 20 or 30 minutes. South Florida is close to the caribbean. Coming in here is like being on island time. Don’t be in a hurry. As for the food the menu feels a little light on options, but everything we have tried has been delicious.

It had been years since I had been here again. I have to say that I had a very nice time with my friend. The service was great. We sat at the bar and started with a couple of drinks and an appetizer. Absolutely loved the hot crab dip with break. So delicious. We then order the flank steak and shared it. I have to say. I was underwhelmed with it. It was not as flavorful as I’ve had in the past so that’s definitely not something I’d ever order here again. we had a very nice bottle of cabernet recommended by the bartender and I have to say that I absolutely loved the crème brûlée. One of the best I’ve had in Miami.

I have to say this place never disappoints. Their best asset is the friendly staff. The food is wonderful too, don’t get me wrong but the staff is worthy of 5 stars. The restaurant is located is a very nice shopping center with great ambience. I had a perfectly cooked steak!!! You have to come here and delight yourselves

WOW!!!^12541265 I have never heard of this chain before but I now want to seek out every location possible. They call themselves a «Scratch Kitchen» meaning everything is made from scratch. I actually hit the character limit on this one, so let me know if you’d like the rest of it. LOL PROs: Food is AMAZING! –My coworkers suggested this site for a working lunch. Out of 6 people, 4 got a salad. 3 of those 4 got the spinach salad with salmon. It was amazing how quiet the table got as everyone ate SALADS of all things. I got the mushroom and goat cheese flat bread pizza. I would have preferred the cheese melted a touch more but otherwise I wasn’t offering up a slice to share. The only complaint I heard was from a coworker who got the salmon caesar salad. It was made with iceburg lettuce. I don’t think she would have said anything about it if we were in any other place except that we had previously discussed the difference between various lettuce types. They tell you what kind of cheese is actually in the dish! –When Americans look at a menu and see«cheese» listed as an ingredient, they usual don’t bat an eye. I lived in France for a year and got used to seeing the type of cheese used in a dish(chevre, feta, gruyère…) This not only helped me to develop my appreciation of cheese, but it helped develop my palette. This place GETS flavor combination!(see previous PRO) AWESOME décor and set up! –Some restaurants are designed so you will remember the décor as brand specific to be remembered. Anyone actually go to a restaurant because it looked pretty? Anyone? Anyone? Restaurants should be about the FOOD, so I normally wouldn’t comment on the décor and set up but this place was SPECIAL and here’s why: As I mentioned before, I was here with coworkers so we got a table for 6. We got a booth and I was one of the lucky ones who got a seat up against the wall. This means that not only would I have to ask 2 people to move if I wanted to get up, but the servers would have to lean over everyone as well. The wall I was up against was actually short enough for the server to walk over to MYSIDE and refill my glass. AMAZINGHYGIENE: –Hello, my name is Karen and I am a bit of a germaphobe.(Waits for you to respond with the usual«Hello Karen») I love good food, but nothing will tempt me to eat a place I don’t see as «clean». I never questioned their cleanliness once and was AMAZED when the server asked me for a fork when he was packing up my leftovers(Told you, I wasn’t sharing: p)

Visited the restaurant to celebrate my graduation on Thursday, and I was very disappointed with the quality and taste of the food served. Appetizer The spinach dip was served cold, so I had it sent back. When it came back it was just unappetizing and totally not worth the ten dollars charged, in my opinion. The blend of jalapenos and spinach looked intriguing but the taste fell far short of my expectations. Main course The fries weren’t fresh, and the Mac and Cheese wasn’t even good(was missing salt). They served us what seemed like low quality green beans that anyone could have bought from a can and microwaved. The salad was the only appetizing item of the night and despite the dressing and avocado, it was acceptable, in my opinion. I liked the 80s and 90s music playing and scenery of the restaurant was great, but the quality of food needs major improvement.

Loved this place. Our waiter Nick was on top of EVERYTHING! This restaurants selection of craft beers was good, not great, but good. I recommend the Pops Porter from Wynwood Brewing company. Represent your local breweries! I had the Cobb salad, which was HUGE. And my girl had the fish and grits, which she described as «to die for». The restaurants lighting and ambiance was great for our casual date night, but could easily suit a large party. The bar had ample seating, and they had a good selection of wines. Pembroke Gardens has a lot of dining options, but we’re glad we went here. We will be back! I hope your server is as on point as Nick!

The butter cake deserves five stars alone!!! The food and service was good, but that butter cake was everything! It’s warm, has fresh fruit, covered in a raspberry sauce, and it came with a scoop of vanilla ice-cream. I’m going back for that alone. If you go to this restaurant, this is a must have.

Enjoyed a really good bacon and Gruyère cheese flat bread — very hot and fresh out of the oven. The bacon was so crunchy and delicious — the cheese was barely visible but surprisingly tasty — must have all melted into the hot fresh dough! Sorry no pics but done just right — A MUSTTRY!

We stumbled across this gem through Unilocal of course. My Husband and I wanted to spend some time alone, away from the business of life. One Friday evening a few weeks ago we decided to give Village Tavern a try. A good bottle of wine is all it takes for me to be satisfied when dining and when I tried their Joel Gott Sauvignon Blanc it was history. Food and Spirits offer the two best dining companions. I love to laugh and enjoy myself thoroughly and if a restaurant can accomplish that I’m all in. I’ve been back twice since then and each time has been better than the last. We celebrated my daughter’s 14th birthday on Thursday. We made reservations for 9pm. They were ready for us when we walked in at 9:02. They sat us at a nice sized round table that fit the seven of us comfortably. It just so happened to be the same table my husband and I sat at on our second date there. That second date got started on the wrong foot when they said they buzzed our buzzer and got no response so they moved on to the next guests. I was a bit annoyed seeing that I was holding the buzzer the entire time. Lindin was our waiter on Thursday night and he was exceptional. His light hearted presence, attitude, and servitude took the cake. And on top of that he also threw some humor our way. We ordered some Blackened Salmon Sandwiches which were good. Fish Tocos which needed something, we couldn’t tell what though. Shrimp Scampi which the birthday girl thoroughly enjoyed for lunch the next day, and some Fish and Chips which were enjoyable. We ate until satisfied and drank until satisfied too. And them Lindin surprised our kids with some desert that was gone in minutes. We will be returning soon, with friends this time. It’s a perfect place for evening get aways. Large enough to feel the space between tables, and the lighting is just right to experience a «candle light» dinner for two.

Went to Village Tavern for my dad’s birthday lunch. I ordered the Sante Fe Burger and it came with guacamole, pepper jack cheese, onions, chipotle aioli and sliced jalapeños(got those on the side because I can’t handle spicy). The aioli was the best part and I wish I got more. Get some extra on the side if you get this! Zack was our server and he did a great job keeping the refills and big(complimentary) basket of bread coming. Only complaint was my fries came out barely warm, but I was hungry and was not going to wait for them to fry up some more. Highly recommend! Would get the Santa Fe burger again.

For this being my first time, this visit did not do it for me. Mainly it was the service. The young lady that tended to us tried her best. She kept apologizing for the slowness of the bar, the kitchen and even her service. I feel like this is a management issue. She should of gotten help from other servers. We were a party of three, and we decided to sit at a table near the bar. We ordered a complimentary basket of bread(you have to ask, they will not just bring you one, the menu says it clearly). The bread was buttery and hot!!! We ordered the potato chips for the table and they were delicious, so crispy and salty… we ate the whole thing. I had the burger which was cooked perfectly with the fries. I enjoyed the potato chips better. Also, I ordered a sangria and I could of sworn she went to Spain to get it. I felt like we were forgotten but we really were not. Like I said the waitress was very apologetic.

I haven’t been to Village Tavern since I celebrated my birthday here almost 6 years ago. I recalled the restaurant being much fancier and with way better service back then. Unfortunately, on this particular occasion the waitress we had took a very long time to attend to our table throughout our dining experience. We sat in the booths near the bar area and she continued to advise us that the bartender and kitchen were backed up even though it didn’t appear to be that busy for a Tuesday night. We noticed on several occasions that our drinks were made and the. sat on the side bar waiting to be picked up by our waitress. At one point when a food runner or another waiter delivered one of our drink items, we had to ask him for ketchup because she hadn’t returned after initially dropping off our food. I would give the overall service on this occasion 2 stars. The food however was around 4 star! We shared the fresh potato chips appetizer which were so fresh and crispy! If you don’t order these as an appetizer add it as a side item instead of regular french fries; much better option than the regular fries or sweet potato fries. I had the Gastropub Burger that was perfectly cooked but the sweet potato fries were a little burnt. I had asked them to be well done and crispy, not burnt. Overall, I felt the dining experience at Village Tavern was just okay. They have a varied menu of food and drink but this visit wasn’t enough to lour me back into try more.
