The crème brûlée tart and lemon bar was amazing. We decided to stop in out of curiosity and the staff was very helpful. The tart was soft, creamy and huge. It’s a little too sweet and too large for one person to eat alone but sharing between 3 people would be perfect. The lemon bar was the right amount of tart and has to be one of the best lemon bars we’ve ever tasted.

Wow! What a great mom and mom shop!!! To start, the location of the bakery is beyond ideal! Right in the center of town. Second, the ambience is perfect and adprablebfor a little mountainside bakery. It’s a bit small, which can seem really crowded when there’s the breakfast rush. But most importantly is the deliciousness of their baked goods. Yum! We got a stuffed vegetable foccacia. Also the breakfast burrito, croissant, and a loaf of bread. Everything was fresh and flakey an amazing. I highly recommend this place for people driving through or stopping to get coffee and a snack.

Stopped here for the first time(crazy, I know) and took home the best strawberry rhubarb pie I’ve ever had. Kids devoured it within seconds of getting home. Service was excellent as well, very friendly. This will be a regular stop every time I’m in Pagosa.

We stopped here before we headed back home from a weekend getaway. Pros: the burrito, the breakfast sandwich and mochas were quite tasty Cons: the food came out before our drinks. When I told the girl she went back to the one poor soul who was trying to make all the drinks, came back and told me they were smalls. She did get us larges like we had ordered. I’m not going to give any less than 4 for a one time less than optimal experience. The most negative part was the other customers complaining loudly as if it would make the food or drinks come any faster(you should be ashamed…). Everyone was working hard. Sorry you guys had a rough morning.

This location our family visited daily while vacationing in Pagosa springs. We stopped in each morning to pick up fresh made bread for our breakfast we made in our condo. If you go, get there early. They get Very busy. The local honey is wonderful. You must try the homemade pies. We ended up bringing two pies home to Denver.

We stopped here on a recent road trip across southern CO, heading from Salida to Durango. I had the recommendation not only from Unilocal in general but from a trusted local Unilocaler that this would be a good lunch option. It certainly was. It was also quite popular and even for late in the lunch time, it was quite busy. And also out of a few things already, but to be expected in a small, fresh menu way. I had a portobello, red pepper and mozzarella panini and it was great. My husband had quiche which he thoroughly enjoyed. I had the homemade local cherry pie for dessert and he had a chocolate chip cranberry cookie. Every item was scratch made, fresh and tasty. Staff was friendly and welcoming though a bit harried keeping the line moving and orders served. The seating areas inside and out were quaint, clean and comfortable. The only glitch in our experience was that they apparently ran out of the fresh ciabatta for the panini and waited to serve us until more was out of the oven and then my sandwich made. For a road stop, it was a bit longer than planned for. They also forgot to tell us about this so we sat for quite a while unsure of the normal wait time until someone noticed us. Honestly, if they had told us right up front of the ciabatta delay, I certainly would have been willing to substitute practically any fresh bread on the premises(there were many) just to have the sandwich on time. The cherry pie was spectacular and many bakeries could learn a lot from their crust recipe and baking procedure.

Unbelievably rude server. Has no business being in any job involving human beings. Acted outraged that my party was ordering so much food. The quality of the food itself was decent, but the server alone negated the experience.

Coffee was pretty good, no fresh brewed ice tea. Cinnamon roll and the bran muffin were on the dry side. Nice setting.

I absolutely love this place! It is quaint and perfect and I am seriously considering driving from to Pagosa Springs, CO from Austin, TX(13+hrs) just to go back again. A few friends of ours had been there and raved so we decided we had to check it out on our last morning in Pagosa Springs. It was absolutely wonderful. The place smells like yeast and coffee which are two of my favorite things in the world. There was a pretty long line and I was easily able to fill the time by drooling over the food in the display case and dreaming about what I was about to eat. When not drooling, I was talking to strangers in line with me and realizing that everyone was local and came their religiously which only speaks to how amazing this place is. I had a slice of the red pepper quiche and a pumpkin muffin. The pumpkin muffin was divine. It was covered in pumpkin seeds and soft and delicious on the inside. The Red Pepper Quiche put it all over the top. The crust was butter, flaky and not soggy at the bottom. The egg was not over done and the red pepper gave it so much flavor. On top of everything, they didn’t charge me for coffee. I don’t know if it is normal but when I asked for a cup of coffee she said are you just having it here. If so, it is free and just grab a coffee cup. I said that was perfect and yum!, that coffee was good!

We were sad. Passed by the night before and were looking forward to a fresh breakfast. Instead we found a snitty order taker. Banquet like made burritos pretending to be fresh and flat coffee. Guy in the back rocked a green chili sample but he was the only highlight.

Everything about Pagosa Baking Company I have really grown to love. Their mochas are the best in town in my opinion and I usually order their green chile cheddar quiche. If you are wanting a good dessert, I recommend a slice of one of their pies or their raspberry jam heart cookie. Also, I ordered my wedding cake from here. The funny but not so funny part is I called literally a few weeks before my wedding. Prior to my call, I was told that If I ordered a cake, I could give 48 hour notice but that was incorrect information! I think they need at the very least two or three months notice or more depending on the cake. Make sure you call way a head of time and talk to the owner. She is very friendly and talented! The owner was gracious enough to bake me a cake with such short notice. How she pulled it off is amazing customer service. I ordered a chocolate flat sheet cake with vanilla buttercream frosting and a raspberry filling.

Cute little shop downtown with a wide arrange of pastries made in house. The hot chocolate was really delicious. It seemed liked a popular place, but there was no wait when we arrived. The pastries were good, but I wish we had the option to get them heated up.

We actually got a lemon bar, chocolate croissant and an iced latte bf doing so window shopping down town. Everything was fresh and wonderful! So we came back to get lunch to go. Egg salad and chicken panini sandwiches with side beet side salads. The food was great! $ 17.00 with tip I felt like it was a very good value. The set up and ordering line was confusing. And the«Togo plates» a joke. Wrapping a plate in plastic wrap isn’t the best idea when having to drive back home. My salad dressing leaked off the plate.

This was our last stop on the way out of town. The owners kindly allow dogs on the patio so we were able to have lunch without leaving the pooch in the car. Bread and sweet treats are baked fresh daily. The lunch menu consists of a few sandwich and quiche choices and the soup of the day. Surprisingly, building your own sandwich is discouraged. So, it was a turkey BLT on foccacia for me and a chicken panini for Mr. P. The foccacia was excellent and as fresh as could be, as were the rest of the ingredients on my sandwich. The panini received raves reviews from Mr. P. I really appreciate the side salad option so you aren’t stuck with chips if you are trying to eat healthy. I wasn’t leaving without sampling a dessert, so I got a snickerdoodle and a chocolate chip cookie for us to share. Both were really yummy but the snickerdoodle had the edge. Pagosa Baking Company is a super cute place with friendly people. Come support this terrific local bakery!

A small, local bakery that has all that you could ask for: they have good coffee, they have excellent baked goods, they have friendly service. A lot of the recipes come from the owner’s grandmother(who was Hungarian) so you get an old world twist on things that you might consider commonplace. I liked my ham and cheese croissant. The family liked the muffins and the brownies. Stop in here, I’m confident you’ll find something to like.
