Best Music, best balcony, best drinks on Bourbon St. We love everything about this place and I tell all my clients that who go to New Orleans. My husband and I especially love the private balcony! Happy Mardi-Gras! Linda and Dan Evon Delatorre Day Spa

The 2 guys on the dueling pianos were probably the most entertaining show on the street. I was thoroughly entertained to the point that I want to go back tonight! See you in a bit…

Had a FANTASTIC time at Ticklers Dueling Piano Bar last night! Fun and lively music! Plenty of room to dance, sing along and make new friends in the French Quarter! Great atmosphere in the upstairs bar and on the balcony as well!!! Will go back EVERY time we come to NOLA! Thank you, Chris Roberts!!! You’ve helped make wonderful memories!!!

Was just in NOLA for 5 days. We went to this bar every single night(at least for a few hours). Pianos with percussionist — musicians were absolutely amazing and talented. They could’ve doubled as comedians too! Great energy, knew just about every song we’d request. We saw the same people keep coming back too each night and soon had a large group of the same faces 4 nights in a row… and the group kept growing. People were watching thru the door from the sidewalks to listen to these guys. Been watching Lucky Lee for a few years perform and he is just awesome. Mike Stone, Tim, Tatoo all just a treat. There were a few more that I’m unsure of their names …300 bars in the French Quarter and we chose to keep coming back. They really are incredible together. The bartenders were very friendly and accommodating. They knew our names and what we drank on the first night and took very good care of us to make sure we were happy. Quick service and average prices. The doormen were friendly too. Always thanked us for coming back. Upstairs you can go out on the balcony AND watch the music/entertainment on the big screen upstairs. 2 for 1 bottles upstairs certain nights as well. My one single complaint(nothing major) is to fix the air conditioning on main floor… the employees are just melting on the main floor. Upstairs the air conditioning is cranking tho. Can’t wait to go back this winter!!!

The musicians are amazing however the female bartender(white girl) has sever issues which deem her incapable of functioning as a bartender… Business is business and allowing your personal issues to interfere with a sale is unprofessional!!!

The drinks here are standard fare but the jazz/funk band that played here was freaking amazing. We came here twice because of them. This was on Friday and Saturday between 2−4pm. All of them rocked it out of the house, especially the saxophone man, his runs were ridiculous. 4 stars.

I had a great time here and watched some very talented musicians. The performers were doing a donation based request system and seemed to know almost every song thrown their way. It was impressive and the atmosphere was great. They knew how to get everyone involved. A+

This is a great bar located right in the heart of Bourbon St, I mean smack dab in the middle of the fray lol. This bar has one of the coolest vibes of all the bars in the immediate area. There was a live band just pumpin out great music and the scene was definitely lively. People jumping around doing crazy dances etc… Quite the people watching experience. Head up the stairs near the band’s stage and you’ll find yourself in the upstairs bar, which is a bit quieter, but is fully stocked and ready to serve you. Had a daiquiri and a Redd’s apple ale(guilty pleasure) and went to their beautiful balcony to take advantage of people watching from a higher vantage point. This is a great bar, a bit pricey but worth the price if you ask me… Pros– Drinks Service Ambiance Balcony Live music Atmosphere Vibe Cons– Pricey Busy Small bathrooms

This is a decent place to watch a band. You can see and hear them quite well from the sidewalk so you can decide if you want to go in or not. There is no cover, but you have to buy a drink once you go in.

I agree with everyone… the band is what makes this place. Drinks are pretty expensive, but it was worth it to listen to them. Had a great time and would love to go back, but my hangover says no…

The house band is awesome! Funk, jazz and even some R&B. Lead singer, saxophonist is a real showman! You’ll be lured in and before you know it you’ll be out on the dance floor. They also have an accessible balcony for those looking to give away a few extra beads over Bourbon St.

Cool little spot off of Bourbon street. Live music, good drinks and a nice crowd. It had an upstairs area that was nice too. Worth popping in here to see what’s cracking.

Bar 635 is part of a network of bars along Bourbon. I would classify Bar 635 as the crazier, drop-it-low one with frequent live rock music. They were spilling beats onto the street to lure the wild ones in. There’s no better place to show off your twerk. If you do prefer a little calmer atmosphere, the connected bar might be more of your style with live jazz. I was able to access this by going up the stairs and across. While you are on the 2nd floor, make sure to pass by the balcony. In my opinion, this was the most accessible balcony in all of Bourbon Street. Many of the others tend to be restaurant reservation type tables.

We were running around in the pre-Halloween Bourbon Street crowds, when we heard some good ol’ school funk coming out of this bar. We made a bee line to a couple bar stools and ordered some drinks from the friendly waitress and listened to this hot band, LC Smoove. We listened to them for the rest of the night and even hit the floor a bit. This band was really good with solid musicianship. And the lead singer /sax guy had crazy, wild solos. He was literally off the hook. They mixed in some hip hoppy and funk tunes with strong jazz influences. We really enjoyed them. After some research, seems LC Smoove is the basically My Bar’s house band. My next trip to NOLA will include a stop by ‘My Bar’ as it is from now on.

My bar 635 is a good place to go for live music. No cover with a one drink minimum(not a problem LOL). They also have a small dance floor complete with a colorful characters jumping and dancing about. Later on It started getting a little to crowded so we moved upstairs. The upstairs was very nice, more of an upscale but comfortable feel. Plus the drinks are cheaper. We ended up sitting out on the balcony, a great place for people watching. Cool little bar.

The bar was great. The music was kinda loud, but that’s probably because the bar across the street was playing their music way too loud. The DJ was kinda on the«meh» side. But at leas he was playing a good music.
