I thought this was the bar from the Bar Rescue show but it wasn’t– that’s it’s sister bar. Staff is extremely friendly. Also, being from Vegas… The drink prices are GREAT!!! I recommend(if you’ll be going out a few nights in a row) get the $ 8 Turtle tumbler and use! Bathrooms are nasty!

This place is called Spirits on Bourbon now. It was«saved» by Bar Rescue on Spike TV. They served us the most gross shot ever! It was an apple pie shot with some sort of icky whipped topping on top. The drink was good, but the whipped stuff congealed everything and you just about had to chew it to get it down.

We really enjoyed the atmosphere at this bar. It was the right loudness of music and the drinks we had(didn’t like the signature drink though). The band the first night was excellent!

Love this place. We went there every night we were in NOLA and would go there again and again. The special house drink, the Turtle is strong, flavorful and not bad priced for 8 bucks. The staff is friendly, nicer than any place we have ever been to in the quarter and every night they had great cajun music.

My home away from home in the Big Easy! First impressions seemed to be pretty on par for a Bourbon St. watering hole. But those impressions were totally blown away as soon as I stepped up to the bar. The Danielle’s were AMAZING! They are the sweetest ladies tending bar in the entire city! On top of that you have Cody running the floor away from the bar. Hardest working man I’ve seen in an establishment like this anywhere. Literally running across to take care of his customers. I was made to feel at home right off the bat. The drinks were great, cheap, and never ending. And I didn’t hear a single bad song from any of the live acts that were constantly playing on stage. I was even invited up to play bass with one of the acts once they found out that I played back home in Cali. The shocker here was how incredible the food was! I don’t expect food in a bar, priced that low, to be of such high quality. The best crawfish platter on Bourbon can be found here! They sell out every time they do it and for good reason! If you haven’t been to Turtle Bay yet then you are doing yourself a disservice!

Says I’m a regular here, that won’t last as I won’t be going back until Mardi Gras next year, we have so much planned! Had so much fun the few times I was in here. I remember the first time there was a zydeco band playing with a washboard player. my DH loves this kind of thing and he did some washboard playing too. was fun watching him. I got pretty hammered here. wait was it here or where someplace else. where wasn’t I hammered on Bourbon street? LOL was a great time and the staff was very friendly! Will visit again when there next year. Fun times for sure.

Our first day in New Orleans was a Thursday afternoon. We stumbled upon this place because of the great band that was playing! We stepped inside, bellied up to the bar and had a wonderful time(I even ended up playing a washboard with the band). We ended up coming here several times during our 5 day stay. Sean the bartender was FANTASTIC; and he even remembered us the 2nd time we came in. Had a taste of the house specialty drink — the Turtle something?! It was fantastic, but I knew if I had one, I would be down for the count, and it was too early for that :)

If you see this place, run in the other direction. We met up with some friends who were grabbing a bite to eat here before heading out for the night. So we decided to drink their ‘specialty turtle drink’ and it was quite possibly the WORST cocktail I’ve ever tasted in my life. It’s nice that they want to make a drink that is 190 proof and full of grain alcohol, but if it doesn’t taste good there’s no point. Ditch this place and get yourself a hand grenade instead.

One of the better places on Bourbon to grab a drink with friends or watch a game. They have 8 TVs in here so anywhere you are seated you will have a good view. This location is bigger than the original one and also has live music on the weekends. Some highlights: — 2-for-1 steaks on Monday nights during football season. These steaks are big and delicious! Even without the 2-for-1 deal their steak is a good bargain. $ 16 for a huge ribeye served with potatoes and garlic bread. — 2-for-1 wings on Monday nights during football season. — The draft beers here are better than most bars on Bourbon with a few local beers to choose from like Covington Brewhouse Ponchartrain Pilsner, Bayou Bock, and Strawberry Ale.
