I’ve been a fan of Jimmy John’s since my college days living in Milwaukee. I’m glad the chain finally made it down here because they are one of the best sandwiches in town!(COMPLETELY different from a po boy so don’t get me wrong.) The bread is great, if you don’t have good bread, you can’t have a good sandwich! I’m pretty sure you can still buy day old loaves for cheap.(Great for bread pudding!) Next, the straight forward meats and toppings. Nothing too complicated here and you have a three tier system of sandwiches. 8″ Subs #1-#6 are your regular sandwiches. Everything from ham and cheese, to tuna salad or a blt. Feeling extra hungry and want a little more«oomph»? Then go for any of the Club Sandwiches #7-#12! These have a few more meats and fancy toppings to round out the offering and flavor. Need something quick, no frills? The«Plain Slim» menu offers many of the regular sandwiches, undressed. These inexpensive subs are great if you prefer to leave the mustard, mayo, tomato and lettuce on the side for someone else. In addition to high quality meats and cheeses, they are served slightly chilled, ensuring that feeling of ‘freshness’. Need delivery? Their minimum one sandwich delivery option guarantees their slogan«Subs so fast you’ll freak».

Great with a capital G!!! Accurate ordering. Swift delivery. Friendly delivery people. And the food is good to-boot!!! I had the pleasure of being treated to lunch by my employer; yeah free food. And delivered to us, yessss… But I digress. I ordered the BEACHCLUB(sliced turkey breast provolone cheese avocado spread sliced cucumber lettuce tomato & mayo) tasty tasty treat!!! The Jimmy John branded chips I selected was Jalapeño Chips & it was a great selection. similar to Zapps but were full of flavor. They also offer cookies & pickles that maybe added to your sub for the full-effect. The delivery guy was super sweet & boasted that he enjoyed the ride down to deliver our sandwiches. First time having Jimmy John’s but it certainly won’t be my last!!!

There is limited parking in front of the restaurant on N Carrolton, but in the back there is Rouses, where I am assuming patrons of Jimmy John’s are allowed to park. I know that this location does deliver, but I am unsure of the range for delivery. The store itself was neat and clean, as were the restrooms. The staff is friendly and appears to keep busy when there aren’t many customers inside, I am assuming the delivery portion is busy, as the drivers came in, they quickly left with food. The bread for the most part was so soft and delicious! The only bad part of the bread was the portion near the end was hard as a rock. The meat and vegetables were fresh and good. The half sandwich was more than enough for me to have leftovers later(which might have contributed to the heel being hard, I will give them that). I have eaten here on several occasions, usually in a group, so the environment for a small group(6 people) was pretty good. I will recommend this location for future meal outings.

the star is for the delivery driver. this is a horrible excuse for a sandwich. if you want«extra» meat which might be considered«regular» to any other establishment you have to pay $ 2 extra.

It’s like they get me or something. After a long day at work all I want is someone to deliver me a sub on a heavenly soft baguette. –eating sandwich in bed and typing this review

Again, a chain. I know that all Jimmy John’s are a like… but this one feels even FREAKY-er FAST-er. The turkey tom on wheat, add bacon and hot peppers is delicious! And, they make it so fast you can bite into it before you can say«Extra napkins, please»!

Note: do not read if you are easily offended. On the third day, he ate at Jimmy John’s. While I was contemplating how to begin my review, I kept thinking of my 12 years of Catholic schooling. No, this visit to Jimmy John’s was not a religious one, but the person in front of me in line did bear a striking resemblance to the portraits of Jesus that I’ve seen my entire life. Jesus was quoted as saying: «I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst.» Does the same hold true for Jimmy John’s? Well, sort of, but not if you want your order prepared correctly. I am a fan of the Jimmy John’s chain in general. It took me a while to try, but their super fast preparation of sandwiches has won me over. I decided to try a different location one day for lunch and my Unilocal app led me to mid-city. This store is smaller than the downtown location I frequent and the store is laid out somewhat awkwardly. Parking is behind the store and when you enter, you’re entering on the side of the store near the registers. This is probably not an issue if it isn’t crowded, but on this trip, there were four people in front of me and there was no clear place to line up. The ordering experience was as fast as usual, but the sandwich making was not up to their standards. My sandwich was made quickly, but after being wrapped, the girl making it realized she had forgotten an ingredient. She unrolled the sandwich, added the ingredient and rewrapped the sandwich. I can only assume that ingredients need to be added in a certain order because this sandwich had stuff falling out of the wrapping and then falling out of the sandwich while eating it. Since I was going for a quick meal in my car, the falling stuff meant my fine Corinthian leather was coated in hot peppers and pickles. Will I return to this location? Probably, but I hope they get their act together.

So everyone here in NOLA feels they have to try this place because Drew Brees brings this chain to New Orleans. But compared to to the Poboy places withing almost walking distance this place is a level or two down from what you can get in the taste category. Obviously this sandwich place is designed for the midwest taste buds. I had to sneak across the st. to Felipes and steal some chilis from their salsa bar. I bought a beer there so it’s ok… I think. And must say it was much better with Felipes salsas and jalapenos! I give this place a 1 star for taste, 2 star for price(subway a lot cheaper and you get more toppings) and 3 star for service and speed. yeah they were FAST, but not very nice about it. lol. But overall 2 stars. But come on… these sandwiches are SMALL for the price and very limited on toppings! Midwest style sandwich, I get it… but even compared to what you can get at most chains this is BLAND! put some chills on that boring sandwich and maybe some creative toppings etc. BORING!

I noticed this familiar fast food sandwich shop opened up in front of my favorite grocery store. I figured since I was in the are I might as well try them out. The service here was certainly friendly. However there speed was a little off. All the other Jimmy johns locations they are usually quicker. Part of the problem was 2 of the employees were too busy talking to each other. It was still quicker than subway or quizno’s service but not the lightning speed I’m use to from most other Jimmy John’s. The food was pretty good. I had their Bootlegger club sandwich of course I ordered mine with cheese. It was very good! I like this sandwich because it has roast beef, turkey, lettuce, tomato, and mayo on bread. Definitely a winning combo to me! The décor has all the tacky wall graffiti, signs and other decorations you would normally see at any other Jimmy Johns. The best feature about this location is the outside seating with the patio umbrellas. That’s definitely a new site at a Jimmy John’s store. In short good food, awesome outside seating, but still has issues with the service. Plus its a welcome addition to the Mid City area.
