I came with my boyfriend and we loved the food here. It is fresh and delicious. I love the sweet corn tamale with fresh sour crème and white cheese. In itself a light meal. My boyfriend loves the chicken and veg tamale. The masa on both are light and melt in your mouth fluffy. This is our second time here and we tried the carne asada plate with refried black beans and perfectly prepared yello rice. I love it because it is fresh and clean.

This is a preliminary review. If I go back I’ll update this further. Went on a relatively slow thursday night. Seemed like there was one waitress and a manager/owner sitting at the bar. Because there was only one waitress the service was a bit slow. I ordered the grilled shrimp platter. Shrimp were large, but frankly I was disappointed with only 7 of them. Not sure if that’s how much you always get, or maybe the way it was arranged, but it didn’t seem like much. They came with refried beans and rice and a lettuce/slaw type thing with guacamole on it. My girlfriend ordered two appetizers because she’s vegetarian and all their main courses are meaty. I forget what she got but she liked it. She also ordered Platonos Fritos when we ordered all our dinner and I think our waitress forgot because we asked her a few minutes after she brought out everything else and she said that they were coming but we really didn’t get them until we had finished eating. They were good though, a nice sort of desert. Next time I think I’ll get the Carne Asada or whole fried fish and some more fried plantains of course, and hopefully service and portions will be better.
