The food tastes good but their delivery sucks. Another day with a delivery time of 1 hour and 15 minutes(and still waiting).

Wonder Siam II is a well-kept secret. It’s rarely very crowded even on a Saturday night, but the food is just as good as the more popular Wondee Siam, which perhaps has a cult following because it’s BYOB and is more intimate(well, small). Sometimes waiting in line has an appeal. II has some excellent dishes that the original does note: a plate called Squid in Love, which at only $ 15 or so, includes tender fried squid in a piquant sauce.

Well this place was half empty when we walked in while other Thai places down the block were packed and required 20 – 30 minuets wait time, so we kinda knew what to expect. But we didn’t care anymore we just wanted beer and some thai food. The food came out ok. We tried pad thai, green curry and papaya salad and nothing was memorable. Service was good though. So it’s definitely an option if you are in the neighborhood and don’t want to wait for 30 minutes for your pad thai and thai iced tea.

I must have ordered from the wrong Wondee Siam. Got delivery for 5 people, bill was over $ 100. What did I buy??? Tamarind duck $ 16.50 came with 6 pieces, 3 were too dry and crispy to eat. Tamarind sauce, I don’t know what to say about that, maybe I don’t know what tamarind is suppose to taste like, but I can tell you: Worst. Duck. Ever. I’ve never felt like I wasted money on food, but this was a waste. Never again. Pineapple fried rice was ok– but 95% rice, 5% all the other ingredients. Tom yum soup was nothing special, similar to all other soups. Sample platter– you can skip it. Pad Thai, a bit drier than I like. The only good thing was the Panang Curry, that I would say is 5 stars.

Had a pineapple fried rice and seafood lover delivered. No way as good as Wondee Siam. The rice is as hard as rocks and really expensive. Will not order again. The Wondee Siam is much better.

Good lunch spot on ninth avenue. $ 8.95 deal that comes with choice of soup or spring roll and entrée. The entrée size is pretty large! Seated quickly and got our food at a good time. The pad see ew wasn’t bad but felt like the dish was out for a while after it was cooked. The top part was kind of cold. Overall, if you’re not picky and just looking for a spot to sit down and chow quickly, this is a good option. I also liked that they had pineapple fried rice as part of the lunch special. More options than other thai places in the area.

The food is great! The best Thai food I’ve tasted on the east coast. Seating is a little cramped, but other than that, the food and service are both top notch. My only problem was the lack of space. If you get up from your table, you’re virtually in someone else’s lap. They need to expand, but other than that, I recommend this spot if you’re into Thai food.

Hmm. OK in a pinch? It initially had a dumpy-chic appeal to it that made me want to go inside, but sadly, my pad thai was more like gym shoe gone wrong. The smell was unbearable. Thai ice tea wasn’t too bad though — I could have had about 20 of those!

The chicken pad Thai is disgusting. It smells like egg yolk that has been left out on in a bowl on a counter all day. Tried to eat it because I bought it, but couldn’t. I’ve had pad Thai at OTHER places and loved it.

Food was okay, could do a lot better in this area. Service was very slow. Would not come back. Had pineapple fried rice with shrimp and the shrimp didn’t taste right. Pad Thai was also not very good.

Good Food, good service. came here for dinner with a good friend, she was craving for Thai food. We found it on Unilocal and decided to give it a shot. Order 2 appetizers, fried calamari, Hoy Jor, Shrimp pad thai, sizzling seafood and 2 thai iced tea. Everything came in a short time, fried calamari was crispy and fresh, Hoy Jor was all real ingredients they mentioned on the menu, pad thai was good and the seafood platter had big prawn. The servers were very attentive with refilling water and taking away the emptied plates. Overall, i love this place. Would recommend you.

They must have saved a lot of ingredients while cooking. My curry consists of shrimps, bamboo shots, some basil leaves, and the curry soup. That is it! Prices are low, but I still expect better. The shrimps from my curry taste like they were boiled separately and thrown into the pot right before serving. There was no curry flavor in the shrimp, and vice versa no shrimp flavor in the soup. I sat next to a couple who were on a date. There was another couple on the other side of the room. I have to laugh but please, there are hundreds of excellent wine bars for dating in Manhattan. The food and ambiance here is neither intimate nor romantic.

You may have heard that Hells Kitchen has a lot of Thai places. Alas it is true. However, not all are good. Wondee Siam II is the offshoot of the more popular Wondee Siam across the street. This restaurant has the same menu(I think?), but a bigger space. If Wondee Siam I is busy, Wondee Siam II should be your next visit. The food itself is good, it is reasonably priced, and service is fast.

My boyfriend was craving Thai Food(what’s new? Haha) and the first two places we went to had a 45-minute wait. We stumbled across Wondee Siam II and gave it a shot. This place was okay. Service was mediocre. They sat us down and after 5 minutes they asked us to move because a 6-top came. I was alright with that but after that it took a while before the server came to take our order. Whatever, not too much of a big deal. When our server came by, we asked her if the large tom yum was enough to share and she said yes. We got it and it was on the smaller side. My boyfriend then wondered if we should have gotten two small bowls instead of a large one. It didn’t make sense why it would cost $ 4 for a small portion and $ 12 for a large one that wasn’t enough for two people. Maybe they added more protein if you get a large one versus small? I really don’t know. Besides the portion, the soup wasn’t the greatest. I think there are definitely better places that make great Tom Yum out there. We got our food and mine was good. I got Beef Pad Kra Ree. If you add some of their chili sauce to it, it would taste even better! Wondee Siam isn’t the greatest, but wasn’t as bad. I don’t think I would come back as their neighboring competitors have better to offer. Tip: don’t buy wine here. They have it by their side station and some aren’t corked. They just leave it there. You see it when you walk out of the restroom. I asked for a taste of Shiraz and it wasn’t great. The bottle seemed like it has been open for awhile. Just stick with the classic, Singha Beer.

Taste is waaaay deteriorating compared to its chains. Makes me wonder if this place is even associated with the other Wondees. Bad food, bad service. No point in asking extra spicy since they won’t listen. Bland food, no flavor.

We stopped in here after a show at Lincoln Center because the other restaurants we wanted to go to were closed. Because they stay open just that little bit longer, I am inclined to like them. I would give Wondee 3.5 stars if I could. It is an average Thai food restaurant. I had the tofu with eggplant and it was good. The Kee Mao Noodles was ok. Nothing special. If you are running late and need to have a meal when all the other places are closing down, this place is for you. It is not bad at all, but could improve.

Pretty good Thai food! I would probably choose delivery over eating in. This is their second location, the first had a long wait(it’s BYOBFYI) so I headed over here(2 min walk away.) Cute little spot. Got fish cakes, kiang salad, steamed snapper, and shrimp pad Thai. Fish cakes were interesting, the snapper was amazing — tasted very fresh and full of citrus, and the pad Thai was also good, but I wish there were a bit more vegetables in the mix!

A much larger space that the original Wondee Siam. They offer a brunch weekend menu that comes with tea or coffee. But no refill on your coffee. The portions are on the smaller side just enough for one. Come with friends so you can share and taste all the dishes. The highlight for me was the pad Thai. Sweet, tangy and not overcooked. The tamarind duck was also very good. It was cooked just enough where the meat is still a little pink and hence wuite tender. The curry and pad kee Mao were just average but added variety to our choices. Service was a little spotty. I asked for extra napkins that never came so I had to take from a neighboring table. Come here for the food, not ambience or service.

Not since I saw Josh Groban in concert have I felt so satisfied! I had a really, really nice late lunch here last Sunday. Service was fast and friendly. My massaman curry was delicious… sweet and just spicy enough. It was rich and tasty and the portion was just the right size. Prices are reasonable too. I’m now pro-Wondee Siam II!
