This restaurant is highly recommended by my coworker who is from Thai. We tried them today in our office party and the food are superb!!! The ingredients are very fresh and the dishes are very flavorful, since some of my coworkers don’t eat spicy, so we asked them to make the dish not spicy, but I definitely would like to go back to the restaurant next time to try these dishes again in normal spicy level. I really like drunken noodle, the one we had with seafood is really delicious, they put so many seafoods in there and the noodle is not greasy at all, love it! Our coworkers can’t stop but raving about the mango coconut rice, if you want try their desert, this is something you must try!

Superb thai. Tom Kha is the richest I have had. The best quality coconut broth I have ever tasted. It does not come standard with chili oil, so it is quite mild. If you like a bit of chili oil in your Thom Kha, ask for it. The BESTSPICYPORKINTHECOUNTRY! The only place that comes close is Thai Arroy in Baltimore. Try it on top of Khing Prik string beans

Oooooh! My friend and I found this place the night of the great blizzard of 2016… okay it was just this weekend but most things were closed and we were hungry. But I’m glad we did. It was yummy. We both got different soups and then shared the Panang curry. I don’t see them on seamless though:(

****WONDERFULSMALLTHAIRESTAURANTINHK**** As pretty much everyone notes, this place is TINY; it’s not meant to accommodate groups over 4. The interior is nice with weaving wooden panels on one wall and increasingly weaving chandeliers, but it isn’t going for a chic vibe like a lot of its HK Thai peers. There’s no separate customer bathroom, so if you need to go, staff will happily point you along the path through the narrow kitchen, closely skirting the back of chefs cooking huge pans on open flames. I’d actually recommend it for the experience… maybe not super buzzed though… we didn’t bring anything but the place was BYOB and at least half of the tables were enjoying wine. The waitress was extremely kind and attentive, although the food took a while to arrive. For what its worth, there were some Thai people dining there, which isn’t often the case at other places. FOOD The papaya salad was terrific… the papaya was drenched in a wonderful sauce that combined both spice and sweetness. I’d totally recommend sharing this among the table. Chicken kra pow was delicious and done very well. Portion could have been a little bigger but the chicken was very savory and all the vegetables fresh, and for $ 11.50 in Manhattan I can’t cmoplai Chicken curry noodle soup — I tasted some and it was very good, the broth was very thick with a rich but not overwhelming taste. FINALVERDICT: A great affordable choice among the abundance of Thai eateries in HK.

I had work in the area so I put all my faith in Unilocal as I do on a daily basis. No word of mouth! This is a hole in the wall! The locals must love it for delivery but there are 20 very tight seats inside… hopefully you get one! I’m under the weather and craving Tom Yum soup! It was awesome. Very simply done… but the flavor was awesome! And they made it without cilantro for me! Complimentary spring rolls with my order… very nice! The Pad Thai was very good… not the best I ever had… but definitely good and I would have it again. Everyone’s dishes around me looked nice as well. Very friendly staff :)

I love this place the staff are friendly. It’s very authentic. The place is small but a service very nice and you don’t need to wait so long after you ordered it. High recommend.

Love this place. When i want to have a good meal for myself or with friends and visitors this is one of the resto that comes into my mind. You should ask for the Secret Menu where their best dishes are listed. My all-time favorite is Mieng Ka Na, Spicy String Beans with Crispy Pork and Shrimp Pad Thai –best that I’ve tried by far. Beef Noodles, Pad See Ew and Goong Ob Woon Sen are delicious too. The ladies here are very friendly and courteous. The place maybe small but they definitely deliver when it comes to food and service not to mention that they have a reasonable price too. This is my little Thai Place here in New York.

Great food and wonderful service. We were attended to promptly upon our arrival and the waitresses were swift to check in on us throughout our time at the restaurant. I ordered the kae mao with chicken. The noodles were cooked to perfection and the flavors and spices were just right. The veggies were also fresh and lightly cooked. I will definitely be coming back to this place!

I got the chicken sate, tom yum, and panang curry. Sate was 3⁄5 — not the most flavorful I’ve had, but exactly what I would expect. Tom Yum was 2⁄5 — didn’t really taste like lemongrass at all. Panang curry was 3⁄5 — not super flavorful, but good overall. Service was 3⁄5 — water glasses went empty a few times, and our entrees came out about 5 minutes apart for some reason. And it was VERY warm in the restaurant. Having said all of that, I’ll probably still be back. Wasn’t bad, just average. With a hundred other Thai places within a 10 minute walk, this one didn’t do anything special to blow me away.

My mom and I were trying to find a good Thai spot and we came across this one on Unilocal. We had the Noodle Soup with Chicken and the Pad See Ew with beef. The soup was amazingly refreshing. It tasted fresh and the chicken was tender and of good quality. Overall amazing. The pad see ew also tasted fresh and delicious. I’ve had it before and this was definitely the best I’ve had. The service was also great!!! There was no wait and we were greeted and seated within a minute. We paid $ 28 for two dishes and two sodas. Overall a great experience!

I kinda want to rank Wondee Siam lower so people don’t figure out how good this place is. Everyone has a favorite Thai restaurant in the city. Wonder Siam is mine. Do they make the best pad thai? I have no idea, cuz I don’t order pad thai. But the pad kra prow with minced chicken is on point. Crispy pork with basil? Holy crap is it good. Also, this place is BYOB. Which I do every time I do. They make my favorite version of my favorite dishes. The service is always so friendly and fast. I love this place.

Solid Thai food for a good price! I stopped by with my friends on Saturday night– the restaurant is very small so there may be a wait. I got the Country style curry– packed with a lot of vegetables and your choice of meat(chicken pork or beef!), it was delicious yet painfully spicy! Service is great, too– everyone was really sweet. I’d like to try their lunch specials!

A friend and I came here for lunch during the weekday. The place is really small, maybe only about 8 – 10 tables. So it seems like one of those hit or miss places — if you come at the right time, you’ll be seated immediately(like we were), but if you don’t, you might have to wait a while. I went with the lunch special, which was a select entrée with two spring rolls. The spring rolls were not good. At all. It is a good deal but if the spring rolls were your main selling point, you might want to rethink that. I’m not even sure what it was filled with but the filling tasted like old, mushy veggies. The sauce they topped it with was way too sour. I was hoping that the entrée would be their saving grace but unfortunately, it was not. I ordered the Pad Thai. It was too sweet — it tasted like they added a boatload of sugar to it. So I’m a bit confused as to where all these great ratings come from. Maybe I just ordered the wrong dish? I don’t know… but there are plenty of other Thai places I need to try before I give this one a second chance.

Tiny Tiny little Thai place with a long wait(usually about 30 – 40 minutes). So why do I go here? Because they have amazing food, a secret Thai menu(just ask and they will bring it out), BYOB, and great service(hard to find for a hole-in-the-wall Asian joint). So if you’re coming, be prepared to wait a bit and please for the love of god don’t come with a party of 6. I’m pretty sure that’s how many chairs they have in the entire resto! Also the«wait» doesn’t mean you can put your name and number down and check out a bar around the corner. The«wait» here means standing on the street and desperately hoping someone inside will swallow their food and pay the bill so you can finally get some Thai. Ohh and its cash only so bring your wad of dollar bills!

Hands down one of the best Thai places I’ve been to in NYC — my other favorite is lan larb(there was one near me when I lived in midtown east), go try both these places if you have the time! This came highly recommended by a friend’s coworker, so we trekked all the way west today to try it out. It’s a super small restaurant(maybe 15 seats?), so try going during the off-hours. Also, since it’s summer, they open all the doors/windows, so it can get pretty hot in there!!! We proceeded to order some stuff off their regular menu, and of course, off their«secret» menu that everyone talks about. It’s just a separate standing menu that’s already placed on the table. Pad Kra Pow — simple, but amazing… my friend actually proclaimed that it was the best pad kra pow he’s ever had. Since the lunch special was sliced pork, we paid an extra $ 3.50 to make it ground pork — and added $ 2 I think for a fried egg on top. Both additions were totally worth it… everything was perfectly made, down to the piping hot gooey egg yolk! String Beans with Crispy Pork — this was the item that was off the secret menu. SO. GOOD. Definitely was my favorite; the crispy pork was to die for… this was like a better version of Chinese sweet and sour pork. Smaller pieces, and much crispier!!! Goes super well with rice! Country Style Curry — I thought this was the dish with the least amount of wow-factor, but it was still good. It really isn’t a curry… more like a light curry-flavored sauce over vegetables and chicken. Before we ordered it, the waitress even warned us that this was«thai-spicy.» We actually thought this was the perfect amount of spice, so if you like spicy food, this is the way to go. All 3 dishes came with 2 spring rolls which were also fresh and deep fried to perfection :). We’re thinking about going again tomorrow… that sure says a lot, eh?

If you claustrophobic stay away, this place holds maybe max 15 ppl and that’s just pushing it, u are going to have to be very intimate if coming to this place with the stranger next to you, bathroom is through the kitchen but I did not bother going… it’s a cute place and it’s authentic real thai cooks cooking thai food We skipped the traditional pad Thai and opted for some dishes which was recommended by the waitress to get the hot pot(shrimp and rice noodles) and the sweet and sour snapper(soooooopo good). Altho we kind of thought we were jipped a bit on the snapper because we felt some meat was taken out but none the less it was good and deboned

The best Thai food I’ve had in Hell’s Kitchen! Came here on a Friday evening, and had to wait about 40 minutes to be seated as it’s a tiny restaurant with only enough seating for about 20 people max. But the wait is definitely worth it if you’re not too hungry… Despite how busy the shop is the service is friendly, the food extremely flavorful, and the prices are relatively reasonable. The thai salad was simple and fresh, served with peanut sauce. Mostly unremarkable, tasted good because peanut sauce is so yummy. The pla rad prig, or whole red snapper, was the star of the show. It was fried and then covered with a delicious, garlicky, spicy but somewhat sweet sauce. Various vegetables were mixed in with the sauce and served on the fish. The key mao ta lay is a broad flat noodle dish with vegetables and seafood(shrimp, scallops, squid, etc). The dish had deep smokey flavors, and the seafood was plentiful. The salad, fish, and noodles were more than enough for two– portion sizes are moderate. Aside from the food, I was impressed with the service. The staff was attentive, and despite the small space and long wait they did not rush us to get thru with our meal and out the door. Highly recommend this restaurant, if you don’t mind the wait. Would not suggest going with a party of more than two.

The food was so good I ate everything before I could take any photos! Friends ordered the dishes, so sadly I don’t know the names of what we ate, but one of my favorite dishes was green beans with octopus in a sweet, sour, and spicy sauce. The octopus is perfectly crispy and the flavor is TOODIEFOR. Another awesome dish was the noodles in a thick soup. Good for spicy food. FYI, they don’t take reservations so go early(before 7).

My coworker and I came for lunch, and we saw a huge cockroach running across the wall toward the cash register area — just like this review( ) from last year has mentioned. The food wasn’t bad, but after we saw the cockroach, neither of us had any appetite to eat anymore. Before we went inside, I remember seeing a big«A» inspection grade on the door, I wonder how that happened! This place needs some serious improvement! On our way back to office, we saw many Thai restaurants on 9th Avenue, next time if we crave Thai food, we’ll go to other ones.

A lot of my friends rave about this place. Typically I go to one of the gazillion other Thai places in Hell’s Kitchen so I haven’t visited Wondee Siam but I am sure glad I finally did. Wondee Siam is a tiny restaurant tucked away on 9th ave. Seating is very limited and they don’t take reservations so depending what time you come expect to wait. Also, I would not come with a party larger than 4 although there was a party of 6 seated when I ate there. This place is BYOB with no corkage fee so that is a major plus. Dishes I got to try: Tom Yum Soup(9⁄10) — great flavor and a nice way to warm up on a cold night Curry Puffs(8⁄10) — pastry was nice and flaky and flavors were on point Papaya Salad(10⁄10) — such a perfect palate cleanser and ultimately refreshing dish The Pad Thai(10⁄10) — best pad see ew I have have. both the flavor and texture of the noodle were spot on. the shrimp that came with it were cooked perfectly The Pad See Ew(6⁄10) — it was good but not mind-blowing, texture of the noodles were a bit soggy/soft. I think it was a bit overcooked Duck curry(7⁄10) — amazing flavors on this dish featuring my favorite protein: duck! Pla Rad Prig(fried whole red snapper)(9⁄10) — beautiful presentation matching its great preparation and taste Thai ice tea(10⁄10) — perfection, this may be the best Thai ice tea I’ve had Iced coffee w/milk(2⁄10) — waaay to sweet, I think I just got type 2 diabetes
