Trestle on Tenth is a quaint little restaurant. Came in after a Brunch Cruise for a drink. Nash the bartender was extremely informative n friendly. My husband n I will return for dinner one night.

Meh, mediocre burger and lousy service. Burgers were overcooked and could have used some seasoning, and the brussel sprouts were bland and seemingly boiled. The food took a long time to arrive, and nobody came to check on us after it was dropped. We waited 30+ minutes to get a bill that never arrived. Finally I went inside and asked to pay. All that said — the patio is awesome.

Today, we were craving a nice, delicious brunch. We have lots of solid choices in the neighborhood but decided to try something new and went to Trestle on Tenth. Neither of us found anything to be particularly great. A total meh meal. The presentation was beautiful, the setting was beautiful – everything about the place had the makings of a new favorite brunch spot except the one thing brunch should be about – the food. With so many other options nearby, we won’t be heading back.

Went today — we were 4 people, I had an hour and a half to eat. After I saw everyone at othe tables coming in and leaving the restaurant I asked where the food was. Seems they were swamped or just forgot about the order… No clue I had to leave because there was still no food in the table. No explanation. I left. Maybe the food is good I do not know but I won t retry… Good luck

It pains me to only give Trestle three stars. The food is reliably solid, and they have a very nice outdoor space when it’s warm. The problem, however, is the service, which can be good but more than often is not. The last time I went it was a monumental effort to flag down our waiter when someone wanted a drink; oftentimes he was simply too busy hanging out and gossiping with the bartender, ignoring other tables as well. I’ll continue going because I live down the street, but I’ve stopped recommending people go out of their way to come here.

Met with a friend for a drink after work. They have a great aperitvo/happy hour and had a delicious but light cocktail out in the back patio. Server was very nice, ordered some olives and really enjoyed sitting outside. Was a great way to start my weekend!

It was one thing after another… Started with an uncomfortable greeting asking me if i was with the 6 top — really? a 6 top? Seemed sterile and like industry restaurant talk. The server was rushed and seemed ill at ease as i was the last one of the 6 top to arrive.(you will see later why) The appetizers came out on time and they were really good. The entrée’s came out, 3 of 6 were well done — 1 was extremely rare. The server after taking the dishes back asked«does anyone else want to return their food» which means either we are unreasonable or that it is common that food is returned. Not sure which it is. The music was«loud» and hard to listen to. This is a personal preference but it seemed too much for dinner. They«86’d» one of the deserts. Again not sure why we were exposed to the industry jargon of a food establishment. The deserts came out and when we asked for lemon there was none. Really — you run out of Lemon early on a Saturday night? They were nice and squeezed in some reconstituted lemon juice. BTW — on the same block there was a bodega were they could have bought lemons. Last and most insulting was that after we paid and were chatting, we were told that we had to leave because they had a private party. REALLY. We should have said that we would have been out if they hadn’t over cooked the entrée’s. OR maybe they should have told us when we made the reservation. Either way it was rude. If it was any one of these issues i would have not written anything. Not sure where the management is on a saturday night but no one who looked the part was visible and the reason why we didn’t say anything on site. Sorry guys.

Found ourselves in this neighborhood after a walk on the Highline(which was gorgeous). A beautiful space with servers who were v kind to our three kids(just at the start of the lunch rush). I had the frittata. It was terrific.

Went there for brunch. Good food, ambience. Our server charged wrong amount on my card. Definitely it was way higher than what I was supposed to pay. Awful!

We headed here for brunch because we wanted to hang on the highline and it looks delightful. The menu is very German — light on veggies and high on pork. Despite that, I managed to find a dish that was great and then added on some field greens. Everyone seemed to enjoy their meal. The service was what bumped this from a 3 to a 4 star though. Everyone was nice, from the woman who took and brought our coats to our servers and bus people. They were patient with us since we all arrived at different times(coming from different cities) and brought everything quickly. No one rushed us despite business picking up as we neared the end of our meal.

This place has become one of my favorite go to’s in the Chelsea neighborhood. It has a fantastic laid back — candlelit vibe — and the staff provides absolute stellar service. Richard behind the bar always provides excellent wine & food pairing reco’s whenever I swing by. Also love how the menu changes with the seasons — very special!

A friend took me here as a post Christmas Christmas present and we had a great experience. Get the cheese and meat plate and let the chef choose. We said that we liked stinky cheese and they delivered a perfect selection of very different varieties that went together perfectly. The duck was delicious(again we asked the chef to choose the temp which of course was medium rare) and the pizokel is definitely worth trying. The waiter was attentive and friendly. He had informed answers to all of our questions and was enthusiastic about our choices. He was just a likable guy and it came through in his service.

I’ve previously been to Trestle on Tenth for dinner and enjoyed it. Yesterday, I stopped over for lunch with a friend. We ordered a couple of cappuccinos while we waited for noon(lunch to begin). Cappuccinos were excellent! We ordered Charcuterie board with cured pork belly, air dried speck, and bucheron. Lovely! The meats were just so very good! The cheese wasn’t bad either. We then ordered a crab cake sandwich to share and steak tartar with quail egg. The steak tartar was delicious — no complains. The crab cake was a bit over done and the«done-ness» of it simply took away from the flavor of the crab cake itself. Overall, not a bad experience and we may possibly come back(the steak tartar is worth it).

Their service was kind of awful… Came here for a friend’s birthday dinner and had the catering roast pig dinner. Food wasn’t bad but when it came the cake cutting and keeping a surprise it was just downhill from there. We told the waiter we were ready for the cake. The waiter came back to tell us that there was a $ 5 plating fee per person. Seeing no real other options, we said okay. We had a full cake and a separate slice that we had purchased for a friend who was allergic. A different waiter came back and went directly up to the birthday boy to ask what to do with the separate piece. We quickly told them to leave the slice in the bag, ignore it. Fifteen minutes later they come out with the cake and the slice on a separate plate…(WTF?!?). Why even ask if you’re going to do the exact opposite? We had the cake, and we tell them wrap up our separate slice to take home. After that, it took 20 minutes for us to get the bill. And then our party of 8 awkwardly stood around waiting for our last slice of cake… We had to tell 6 different waiters, and told one waiter multiple times, that we just wanted to bring our leftover cake home… Was it that hard? Sheeeeesh. We had come here for a surprise birthday dinner, in hopes of a smooth dining experience. It was actually rather frustrating to deal with.

Fiancé and I came here on a Thurs. night around 9pm. We live in the nabe and have always wanted to try it– particularly hearing good things about their side corner sister resto, Rocket Pig. Unfortunately, Tresle on Tenth wasn’t as good as we were expecting. It wasn’t bad but it wasn’t remarkable either. They were also very understaffed, meaning that the entire pace of the dinner was sloooow. Not fun if you’re hungry. At the same time, the staff works incredibly hard so I kudos them for that. Our waitress tried her best and made great recommendations. We started off with the buttermilk bacon and butter lettuce dressing which was fresh, and plentiful. They kindly split the salad into two — the pancetta was very good. I then had the scallops which came with fava beans, asparagus in a roasted red pepper coulis. Very tasty and light. I have had better seared scallops though. The Mr had the roasted pork tenderloin, and being that pork is there thing, perhaps had higher expectations. Some pieces I tried were a little dry. Though, I think the portion was good and the mix in of other worldly ingredients(the bok choy, mashed potatoes) were a good addition. They brought out some house bread which were really good slices of Italian(?) bread basket bread but the butter was hard/cold. Oh well. The best part was the dessert. This was a four star. It was a really yummy sundae consisting of high quality vanilla ice cream, whipped cream, cherry syrup, cherry and ginger strusel which added a nice touch of zest. A little pricey at $ 10 but a good portion and worth it. Dinner came to $ 40 per person. We sat inside which was nice but I would suggest trying to get a res or wait for the garden out back which is such a nice touch.

Had an excellent dinner here with my girlfriend. Yes, dinner, unlike the other morons out there reviewing restaurants based on their hung over brunch experience. Let me clue you in: restaurants do brunch because they have to to support their exorbitant rent… not because they want it. Chefs would rather not serve overpriced eggs to bougie ******… They have a backyard patio with trees and it is peaceful and pleasant. Service is VERY attentive and nice people. For food: since it had a Swiss influence, try the tete du moins cheese and the hot sopressata. The Rose Pinot Noir Sancerre was excellent. We had the mussels. Tasty. The lamb and beef burger. Excellent. Try the smoked pork loin. They had a Pinot Noir from Germany that was surprisingly good. Definitely try this place and bring a date. We will be back.

This place is a pretty little spot but it’s a shame the food and service are a joke. I’ll never go back. The hostess was rude to us when we arrived and didn’t seem to care if we stayed or left. We almost left but decided to give it a shot… wrong decision! Ordered a medium rare burger which came out well done and overcooked. I politely asked if I could have another cooked to the way I had ordered it. I think the chef then played a nasty trick on me. See picture — no comments necessary. Cancelled the order and left.

I visited Trestle on Tenth as part of their annual Metzgete event after hearing about it at their adjacent«Rocket Pig»(highly recommended!) outpost. I was hopeful that since Rocket Pig was so good that Trestle on Tenth would be as well. I was disappointed. After placing our orders, we were given some delicious sourdough bread. Loved it. Wait for the food was exceedingly long. Not sure why on earth it took so long when the place was not crowded at all. Three of us ordered a metzgete sampler type plate. It came out with four sausages, some pork belly, sauerkraut, and mashed potatoes. Three of use were given sides of mustard, applesauce, and crème to share. Two of the sausages were decent, not fantastic but good enough. A third was blood sausage which I can’t stomach, so I can’t comment on that(though my friend said it wasn’t the best). The fourth sausage, appeared as a weisswurst but I don’t know what this restaurant would call it, was odd. Within the casing it was completely crumbly — generally a sign that not enough of fat has been included in the meat. It was also very mushy. Couldn’t eat it. The pork belly was supple, but even fattier than it generally is. The mashed potatoes were good in flavor though runny. The fourth person in our party ordered a piece of pork(a chop?) and it was very good, much better than the entrée that the rest of us ordered. If I could go back in time, I’d change my order. Overall I loved the idea of a metzgete as advertised, but it didn’t live up to expectaions, sadly.
