I don’t keep kosher and I don’t come here often, but when I happen to be in the neighborhood, I love to pop in for their delicious prepared foods. They have so many healthy, vegetarian, and wheat-free options I end up spending more than I mean to, which can happen pretty fast. That is my only complaint, but I realize that is normal for kosher food. Also, not sure if it’s an Eastern European Jewish thing or what, but they also offer a lot of gluten-free foods, and I noticed that there are also entire gluten-free shops in this neighborhood and some religious parts of Brooklyn. I cannot complain. Yum!

Must give credit where credit is due: their Pesach food is delicious. My family ordered in a lot of food for our seders and other Pesach meals. It wasn’t cheap, but we decided to go ahead anyway(especially since Pesach is never inexpensive, no matter what you do). Everything we ate — literally everything — was excellent. Chicken dishes, stuffed cabbage, side dishes, all terrific. And, also to give credit where credit is due, the people on the phone were super-nice. Kosher Marketplace was definitely the right choice.

Good array of Passover(and other kosher) foods. Good service. Narrow aisles, so often crowded, but if you need it, they probably have it.

I just got back from The Kosher Marketplace and finished eating dinner a few moments ago. The food was incredible. I had a beef lasagna with a parve cream sauce which was a Chef’s Special today. It was awesome. The people are great and the selection and quality are phenomenal. I think all their meats now are farm-raised and antibiotic-free. Absolutely one of my favorite stores!

I am only commenting here about one item — the«Pulled BBQ Corned Beef Sandwich» It is pre-made, in the hot case, and is absolutely delicious. It probably weighed well over a pound, had a spicy BBQ sauce, and was one of the best sandwiches I have ever had. Beyond that, they have a very extensive selection of ready made dishes, meat, dairy, hot and cold, and seem to cater a lot to those in the neighborhood looking for convenience food.

Kosher Marketplace is the only full-service kosher market in Manhattan, and its items are of an unparalleled quality and kashrut. The prepared foods, especially at Passover time, are delectable and are in a class of their own. Prime rib, Veal Chops, and Chopped Liver were among my favorites. While I simply would not make this my choice of kosher stores for regular shopping, due to the prohibitive Manhattan prices. the selection, quality, and array of foods is superior to that of other establishments. When I am on the UWS, I stop in to check out the samples of baked goods, and I love examining the aisles for exotic, hard-to-find items, such as Japanese mochi ice cream, Sweet Loren’s parve frozen baked goods, and a new brand of parve vegan cashew-based ice cream. Their selection of kosher specialty items is impressive for a store of its size, and the store is very clean and well-maintained. For a quick lunch on-the-go, their BBQ brisket sandwich is usually a solid choice, and is not outrageously priced(about $ 9.00 for a decent-sized sandwich). The prepared foods always look fresh and well-prepared, although the price leaves much to be desired. I was particularly impressed with the specialty items for Passover; Tova’s natural items from Bergen County, including their fruit torte, French macaroons, and chocolate tortes, Eytan’s Black Forest cake, and Cholov Yisroel, Kosher for Passover gelato were among the notable offerings.

I’m not Kosher, but this gem of a store offers the most delicious pre-made dishes! Their paninis are awesome! The salads are fresh and a tastey meal in itself! Don’t forget to try the pasta dishes too! You cannot go wrong with ordering here on a daily basis!(Their food makes me wish I could celebrate the Jewish holidays just so I can place my orders for the family get togethers!)

The service is horrible and the management is rude. I had a horrible experience with a delivery order as they quoted me one price and ended up charging me twice the original amount despite no changes to the order. When I called to inquire about this, I was hung up on twice and not offered anything. Plus, the food is subpar and placing a simple order by phone took 20 minutes. Oh, it’s also over priced. Stay away and I would give it a zero rating if possible.

What more can I say about the Kosher Marketplace. The minute you walk in the smell of fantatsic prepared food is ovrwelming. The daily specials are incredible. It’s a far cry from they first opened the location, where you could barely move down the aisle. Now it’s very spacious and a lot more product is sold. Fish, Dairy, prepared food, desserts, The Catering they do is also fantastic. They also have take away food which is very fresh, and there meat and poultry section is fantatstic. Busies times are most of the day Thursday and Friday till the Sabbath. And for Glatt Kosher this place stands out as the best in the city. Parking is impossible, but they do deliver all around the 5 Boros and New Jersey and Westchester.

Overpriced and terrible service. The few times I have ventured in, I walked right out — it’s hard to get the attention of the folks serving and it seems like the store is in a constant disarray, this could be because I would only go on Thursday or Friday. The highpoint is that their prepared foods are very good.
