I really like this place — even though you can’t order on Seamless — but they discontinued my two favorite items on the menu, chicken soup and the lamb burger. Think this had something to do with opening a Long Island restaurant. Please bring back the chicken soup and lamb burger!

I stick to eating halal, so naturally kosher does the job as well. I obviously can’t compare this to places I haven’t been that people rave about(since they aren’t halal or kosher) but this place hits the spot. I’ve never stayed there to eat(it is a bit small), but have had delivery and take out. Food quality: On a scale of wanting to puke right after to wanting this every day, this is at least something I crave twice a week. Pretty damn high. Delivery: On a scale of tortoise to cheetah, this is a umm. horse with a broken leg. Not exactly quick. Service: On a scale of of axe murderer to exotic air hostess in first class, this would be the pleasant man/woman at random hotel check in. Good enough. Value for money: On a scale of rent prices for a studio in manhattan to tennis lessons in Pakistan(I’m talking 2 dollars an hour), this is a 5 star hotel in Phuket after a local(fake) bomb scare. F*cking great. Why is this still 5 stars? well I’m not docking points on delivery because I was being lazy and it was shitty outside. So that probably isn’t the best way to judge it. Plus I’ve only gotten it delivered once and I hate anything that is based on a sample size of one. So I will assume that maybe on most days the horse doesn’t have a broken leg. Great place. Will go there as often as I can despite not living close by anymore.

If you are craving a burger then Amsterdam Burger is the place for you. They have amazing burgers & you know it’s amazing when all your friends rave to you how much they love Amsterdam Burger. The restaurant tends to be very… Read our full review on our kosher blog:

Nice place, Good burger and speedy service. I got the burger with fried egg and«Bacon» it was good but not a fan of the fries on top of it. The burgers got the kosher tax and a lil expensive side. I asked to sit in the booth as it was cold next to the window and we were told no, even though the place was empty and it was –10 outside. But couldn’t sit in the both since we were only two people and booths are for 3 or more. 2 stars for keeping me cold & forcing me to sit in the dark tables while your restaurant is empty with no one insight.

Got the egg burger and i liked it, though I’m not a huge burger guy. Service was excellent. Didn’t feel rushed despite people waiting to get in. Highly recommend.

I was recently staying on the Upper West Side and found Amsterdam Burger Co. while searching for a place to get kosher burger. I only eat burgers when I’m out to eat so this is a treat for me. Overall, this hamburger hit the spot and fulfilled my craving for a burger. Not the best burger I’ve ever had, but I definitely enjoyed it and finished all of it. The fries were also good. The atmosphere of this restaurant was airy and open. I loved having a table that gave me a view of street traffic. It was fun to people watch while enjoying my meal.(I was the first person in the restaurant when they opened for lunch which gave me the option to choose where I was going to sit. They seem to fill up fast so keep that in mind if you want to have your pick of places to sit.) Since I’m not from NYC I can’t speak for the pricing, but my whole meal cost around what I expected it would cost. The staff was nice to me and did a good job of making sure I had everything I wanted. I will definitely be back the next time I’m in the area.

The standard response when you walk in is «20 minutes.» Waited nearly 40 minutes, standing in the entryway on a freezing night, which, in my opinion, is too long for a burger, of any kind. Staff unfriendly, tight tables, and the ones by the windows are freezing on a cold night. Burger was good, not outstanding, the best part was the bun. Lettuce and tomato almost nonexistent, which is disappointing for a $ 17 hamburger on it’s own. Had the zucchini sticks which are horizontal slices of fried zucchini, about 5 or 6 of them with what tasted like tartar sauce. Not exciting, since its my opinion that anything fried tastes good. Would have given fewer stars, but the food is decent. Not enough for me to return though.

Fast service, tasty burgers, fair sized portions. The only downside is that the seating area is small & wait times may be long. Come early if you’re short on time.

This place used to be by far one of my favorite burger places in the city. The servers are generally very friendly and quick rarely forget and overall pretty attentive. Place has a simple décor but always has a vibe. In the past few visits I’ve notice how unfriendly management has gotten going over the«seating policy» to the point where they even yell at clients and servers. I understand that the place is busy but nevertheless you want to keep it busy. It’s very disturbing to see someone getting yelled at while you are having dinner. The quality of the food is still there, though my friends had a lamb burger said it was on the dryer side and We all also felt that the quantity of the meat was less than usual. I don’t believe the place is extremely overpriced as New York is overpriced period. Sadly, even a month ago i would have given the place 5 stars, but now it’s down to 3. Very unfortunate, place has a great potential.

So it’s over priced, fine! So there is a long line, fine! Food is pretty good! Nastiest attitude by all employees and owner! Feels like they are doing you a favor by even answering the phone for delivery, not even talking about a sit down! Warning: they may charge you for air, and for words you speak! I’m joking, but seriously, not worth it with the way they treat people

Way too pricy for a crappy tasting burger. Only gave it a star for friendly service. Burger was bland and way over cooked.

It’s been a half hour standing here waiting. The staff mentioned to me that there is a table ready as soon as I get here, but once I got to the restaurant they said the entire party must be here to have a seat. My legs are starting to hurt and I’m still very hungry. The staff is also rude and unfriendly. I hope the food is better than the wait… if I ever get to taste it. Update: food was ok, but came very quickly. I moved the rating from 2 to a 3

Placed a group order of 15 burgers, fries, chicken nuggets and wings. From the order phone call with Debra to the last bite of my fry, I was very pleased with their service — as was the whole group.(A difficult feat) I ordered the Mushroom Onion burger for myself which came large and was cooked medium/well. The mushrooms and onions were of perfect texture and quantity so it doesn’t get all over the place when you’re taking bites. The fries also have a great texture and tasted great dipped in the nugget sauce. All in all, Amsterdam Burger offers a great variety — good to the last bite.

Food was great, zucchini sticks were crispy and full of flavor. Burger and sandwich were spectacular especially the pulled beef sandwich. The breakfast sandwich look good from peaking across the table. My wife ordered the Aussie burger which had very balanced flavors. The mint lemonade was spectacular and so was the Jalapeño orangeade. Friendly waiters and waitresses. Restaurant has brick wall with a touch of gothic and a touch of modern. My only suggestions to the restaurant is find a way to seat parents with a stroller with baby and not just close to the bathroom. We were given the option to sit baby on high chair in the center of the restaurant or with stroller next to the bathroom. We would have preferred to keep the baby in the stroller and sit in a good seat. Accommodation should me made for couples with babies. Please extend your options. Otherwise we had a great time.

Sorry to say but this place is a sad imitation of what it used to be. The burger meat has become bland and tasteless, and although the appetizers are still pretty good, the burgers are the main reason you go to a burger place, and are simply not worth even half as much. I hope restaurateurs will start to learn that when you cut quality to save money, you will eventually lose customers. Cause I’d say they just lost one.

Best Burger Ever!!! Delish! Service is excellent even though its constantly packed! Got the breakfast burger with extra truffle aoli(def worth 1 $ extra) and it was so good! Meat was fresh and fries were good too! Also recommend the spicy chicken appetizer which was tasty. Enjoy

This is a kosher burger place and I was hesitant about trying it since I prefer my meat to be medium rare to rare. All of their burgers are cooked medium-well and I don’t think you can ask them to cook it otherwise. I must admit that the burgers were actually pretty good despite the meat being cooked through. I got the breakfast burger which comes with a fried egg, tomatoes, lettuce, potato curls and bacon. The bacon was pretty tough, stringy and not at all tasty. But the meat, potato curls and fried egg paired really well together. It’s hard to go wrong with a fried egg in a burger I suppose. There’s just something tantalizing about the golden dripping yolk soaking into the bread. The space is airy and bright. We didn’t have trouble finding seating since we came for lunch on a Sunday. The service was great — we didn’t experience any of the troubles that some others have commented about. Maybe it’s because they were only at 1⁄3rd capacity. I’m sure things could get hectic if the restaurant was full.

I know I know it’s a burger joint but I need to praise the YAMFRITTERS! I look forward to these even before their burgers here. Don’t get me wrong the burgers are pretty tasty but the Yam Fritters are amaze balls. Plus their buffalo wings are also pretty damn good as well. I like how quick and efficient their service is and the staff has always been warm and welcoming whenever I’ve dined here. Love the mason jar drinking glasses too. Seriously, if you keep Kosher you wanna be there and if you don’t keep Kosher or don’t know what that is because you live in a cave, you should still get here.

Go to Amsterdam Burger Co. Go if you keep kosher, go if you don’t keep kosher, go if you don’t know what kosher is, just go! Food, atmosphere/ambiance, service — basically everything — was delicious, excellent and on point. I had the Breakfast Burger, a side of fries and the Peanut Butter Mousse. In all honesty, it was way too much; I’ll probably skip the fries next time. I was slightly skeptical about the Breakfast Burger, only because I’ve never seen a burger more Unilocal-ed about, but now I can understand the fuss. It is delicious. Like, one of best burgers I’ve ever had. The fries were good, but like I said, I’ll pass next time. The Peanut Butter Mousse was heavenly, like a whipped Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup, and the presentation was adorable and inventive.(It was served in a mason jar! Cute!) I liked the atmosphere — fun, relaxed, cute.(Yes, I described the atmosphere as cute.) But, beware, it gets super busy. We(luckily) arrived about 20 minutes before the mad rush; there was a line out the door. Great service, too! Our waiter was attentive and made sure we were happy with everything.
