The prices are average, the portions are small, customer service is terrible. I ordered an egg white wrap which a sign said was 4.95 and when they wrung me up, they told me it’s an extra +$ 1 after 11am and +$ 2 and somehow the whole thing was 9.74 with tax. Watch out when you go to ring up your order.

The ads they hand out on the street are not valid, they didn’t have French fries, they overcharge, and false advertise what you are getting from what’s on the wall. They also didn’t even warm up my mexican panini fully and that simply sucked too. Their soda machine will also make a mess, overfill and splash everyone in close proximity. Also there’s no bathroom.

Luckily got a chance to grab some breakfast from here on the last day I was working in midtown; I wish I would have walked in sooner, seeing I passed it every morning and afternoon.
I ordered my Turkey Sausage w/​Egg Whites and Cheese on an English Muffin and it was good! It could’ve been the flavor or it could’ve been the fact that the prices are damn near half that of Teresa’s, located down the block. The coffee was on point and I grabbed some fruit that were well-​prepped and fresh.
Next time I have a midtown assignment, they’ll be my morning routine, for sure.

I was here for a quick breakfast on an early morning and only grabbed for their fruit plate. I liked the fact that they provided both the small and large bowl to satisfy different demands. It was neat and organized inside with a bright color décor.

They deserve five stars for several reasons, but I will only provide two.
1. Affordability. The quantity and quality not only coincide with its value, but provides any person the opportunity to survive in NYC. That alone is five stars.
2. Nutrition. This shop provides an exceptional variety of food that is nutritious, clean, and considerate. While I am not an avid nutritionist in terms of watching gluten or meats, essentially, for the greater population, there is enough variety of breakfast and lunch foods that will hold you off.
Lastly, and this is a bonus, this shop is clean! We’re in NYC and this city’s environment is rated very low in my opinion, as I’m not an environmentalist. However, this shop looks great.
Come on by and save money and your health!

I work in the area and was looking for something other than my usual routine. The Ranchero Chicken Sandwich was very good. There are very few seats and as no real atmosphere, but again the food was good.

As an out of towner I loved this place. The 2 for $ 4 special was a lot more than I expected. I had a pumpernickel bagel that was proof why they say bread in NY is better.

ZERO Stars — this place HORRIBLE — My food was ordered at 9:44AM it’s 12:22 PM and the food is STILL NOT HERE. I’ve spoke to the restaurant twice, and seamless refunded my order, but both promised it was still on the way. I would NOT recommend this to anyone. Even when you speak to the restaurant they continue to guarantee they are on the way and an hour later you still don’t have food. Then they tried to tell me he came and someone turned the food away. They didn’t even buzz my apartment AND I put instructions for them to CALL when they arrived. I should have read the reviews for this place mentioning how late they consistently are with delivery. ZERO NEGATIVE stars… I’ve never written a review on here, but I’ve also never had this experience. It’d be very wise to order elsewhere or you may not eat at all.

Ordered delivery from this restaurant to a business in grand central terminal. They called us twice to reconfirm the address and get specific directions. After an hour and a half of no food, we called twice. The first time no one even picked up the phone. The second time a woman told us the order was canceled, then said it was on the way, then canceled again. She then hung up on us. Never ordering from them again! So unprofessional!

Excellent little café to pickup food or have delivered. Breakfast, panini sandwiches, smoothies, custom salads, and really great entrees are among their diverse menu.
I stayed at the Jewel Hotel and I’m so glad this amazing grab and go food place was right next to my hotel.

Quick & clean service with great breakfast combos and a variety of lunch options located near the busy midtown streets of Fifth Ave & Rockefeller Center. The employees are friendly as are the breakfast sandwiches and all offered at reasonable prices (I haven’t had the opportunity to lunch here yet so can’t comment on that).
My go-​to ‘wake-​me-​up’ item of choice is the egg & cheese on a roll but have also tried their ham, egg & cheese on an english muffin which also does not disappoint. Their home-​fries are pretty spot on, too. With a little dash of ketchup and hot sauce to my liking, this place makes my tummy happy especially after a night of drinks!

I come here for breakfast when I am starving in the mornings (usually because I went out for drinks the night before) before going to work — I usually get the #1 or #2 (sausage/​bacon, egg & cheese on a roll or an English muffin) for $ 2.99. The quality of the food isn’t the greatest, but it’s still a cheap place to get breakfast on the go. The second time I ordered a sausage, egg & cheese on a roll, and they gave me bacon. I didn’t fuss much over it because who doesn’t like bacon?!

I like this place because you get a free lemonade and a bun with the purchase of a salad for under $ 8. It’s great. The service is fast, the space is not too crowded, and the staff is friendlier than at other places I’ve bought my lunch.

The service is always good. If your an early bird. You would know Janet is the kindest person on the planet. Santos is the man! Simply put. The coffee, the expresso, and pretty much anything you order for breakfast or the lunch scenario is excellent.
This pitstop can’t be beat with the two folks mentioned above. Janet is really the face of this place. She knows all of the repeat customers by their name and exactly how they take their coffee.
This place solidifies the saying «A little kindness goes a long way’.

I was pleasantly surprised by this place. I expected everything to be overpriced and/​or low quality in a huge tourist area but this had good food at a reasonable price. I ordered the chicken pesto panini for under $ 8, and it was delicious! There’s a large variety of hot sandwiches and a salad bar as well. On top of that the staff was very friendly. I would highly recommend if you want a quick bite at a good price.

I had high hopes then for this place — been striking out with lunch spots in the area!
I would really love to support a smaller, more mom-​and-​pop deli that Simply Food resembles. It doesn’t look like an institution or midtown lunch chain that will over-​charge you for mediocre paninis and salad.
Unfortunately that’s exactly what it does. $ 7.50 for a wrap may seem standard for this area. But the wraps here are particularly small, with clearly inferior ingredients. They offer a combo deal of $ 7.99 plus tax, for a drink and Lay’s chips. That’s a pretty good deal if you like to buy a drink with your lunch. Otherwise, it’s clear that they’ve overpriced the individual wrap so you’re inclined to order the combo.
Besides the pricing, which isn’t out of range, the food just isn’t that good. The turkey avocado wrap, though I asked for it to be heated, was barely lukewarm when I got it. The turkey was the low quality, high sodium kind, cut into small cubes in the wrap. You’re much better off walking to Toasties — yes the sandwiches are around $ 9 each, but it’s so much better.
Their behemoth neighbor, City 75, actual offers a better deal on salads and breakfast wraps.
I would much prefer to support Simply Food, but when the food is tastier and actually less expensive from City 75, I can’t justify it.

You would never know just passing by, but Simply Food has a lot going for it. Nothing LOOKS particularly amazing when you walk in there. For instance, I’ve never ordered a salad because all of the ingredients look a little too sedentary, the desserts look very standard and no doubt come from an outside provider. But their hot entrees are surprisingly good and have that homecooked quality. Ask them to make you a breakfast sandwich, tell them exactly how you want it, and that is how you’ll get it. They do not mess around. You say runny yolk, you get runny yolk. You say cheddar, you get cheddar (not American). No matter what you ask for here, they are ready and willing to accommodate their customers, and you will never get attitude or anything other than a convivial vibe from the kitchen staff. Or at least, I haven’t. While my cheese is grillin, we be chillin.
Janet, who runs the cash register most days, is one of the sweetest people I’ve ever met, here or anywhere. I just want to hug her every time I go in there because she’s so sweet and she calls me and my friend Elisa «Mari and Ellie,» which sounds much cuter when she says it. One time, when Elisa and I were on the outs over some dumb argument we’d had, Janet was genuinely concerned about our friendship and she was so happy when we moved on from our little snit and everything went back to normal.
Simply Food isn’t simply about food. It’s also about coming to a place where people know your name and how you like your coffee and make you feel like you matter.

MMMMM MMMM Delicious I have only ordered from here through Seamless but the food is sooo good. It is pretty inexpensive compared to what is available at other places and with the food being so good can you go wrong … No
I ordered the Chicken Cobb Salad with Lowfat Honey Dijon dressing. I asked for it to be chopped but it wasn’t but that is okay given that it did not make a difference to me. The salad was great one of the best that I have had in a very long time. I also got large Triple Berry Smoothie made with lowfat yogurt (how about that they let you chose what you want your base to me !!!) I have been fantasizing about the smoothie since then. It was just so good I was sad that it finished so quickly. I definitely be ordering for here again

If you are on a budget and want exceptionally good food, this is your place!!!
Cheap, huge variety of greatness. I’m definitely a fan as I have visited simply food once a day for about a week since I discovered it. Working at Radio City Music I needed something convenient… Found it!
Menu items that taste fantastic:
Seafood Bisque: it’s spicy and delicious
Omelette — they have about 25 ingredients for you to create your own!
Salad bar: mega huge variety for such a cheap price. They won’t weigh your salad… It’s like subway but way better!
Cupcakes: hold me back. I had the peanut butter cup and melted inside.
Chicken quesadilla: with jalapeños –peppers-​… Probably the best I’ve ever had. No lie!
Thought you should know… Food for thought!

Fresh salad with unlimited toppings and seats, free lemonade and bread with small salad for under $ 8. You cannot beat this price for value anywhere this close to Rockefeller Plaza, plus it is a healthy option with a few seats.
