This is a small takeout establishment with general seating inside a food court area. I got the Pork Donburi — it comes with some seaweed and a miso soup! Decently sized portions and decently good as well! For around $ 12 you can get a quick meal and be sufficiently full.

Back Story: As I was walking around this food court, I noticed a dude with a huge metal bowl chomping away at pieces of cutlet covered in curry sauce with white rice. I instantly knew that I had to order one of those for myself. After cautiously interrupting his intense focus on devouring his dinner, I was pointed towards the origin. Surprisingly, this dish from Roll & Katsu was only $ 9 and fulfilling. I was able to score seats with my fiancé right in front of the booth and acted as a informal live spokesman/advertisement for the restaurant. Every person walking by whether it be tourist or regular New York would steal glances at my meal, some longer than others. The meal came with options of pork or chicken and I went with the chicken. The portion size was perfect for me but could probably serve two regular sized people. I enjoyed the crispiness of the chicken cutlet which was also juicy and paired well with the brown sauce. The salad with the dressing was also great especially to balance out meal. This comes with a side of white rice and miso soup as well.

Solid place inside the plaza with red mango and a whole bunch of other places. The price was reasonable and the chicken Katsu was spot on. I definitely recommend this place.

Based on my multiple visits from the past couple months, Roll & Katsu Kitchen gained a solid spot in my heart. You can’t beat the price as this place offers good and cheap Japanese food! Roll & Katsu Kitchen is located near the back part of the food gallery in K-Town on the first floor. It is a food court style Japanese food counter where you order your food for pick up, and select anywhere you want to sit kind of place. Upon my visits I ordered various food items from the menu as I like to explore my food options. I had their Pork Katsu Omelette Rice, also the raw fish salad with rice on several occasions. Food portions are relatively huge and it is recommended to dine at this place when you’re starving! All of their entrees comes with a bowl of miso soup. Both dishes did not disappoint! Pork Katsu was cooked at the right temperature and it is super crispy and juicy. The omelette was cooked perfectly and it just thinly covers the rice underneath it(you don’t want your omelette rice to be super thick as it affects the entire omelette rice structure). As for the raw fish salad, the sashimi fish is quite fresh and again like I mentioned… Both dish portions are enormous! I tried my best to finish the entrée every time as the food was delicious and savory. The dining environment is a regular food court setting but with all the delicious food that Roll & Katsu Kitchen has to offer, nothing can beat that. Service is also on point: the cashier is very accommodating as I requested to leave scallions out of my miso soup. Don’t hesitate and stop by Roll & Katsu Kitchen whenever you are starving while visiting the food gallery, located in the hearts of K-town!

Okay so let me start by saying that I got a Unilocal account purely so I could review this place. Roll & Katsu Kitchen, previously known as Mr. Fish, is BYFAR the best sushi I’ve ever had… on so many levels. 1. The Sushi — I have never had a bad roll here. Every roll is always so fresh and delicious with an exciting range of flavors. The Mr. Fish roll is thee best, as is the big bang, hot night roll and the joy roll. Other rolls on my list to try are their new Spider roll and the green monster roll. 2. The Katsu — Okay so the Katsu is also on point. It consists of 3 breaded pieces of chicken covered in a delicious Katsu sauce and rice… excellent. 3. The price– This place is so reasonably priced! Most rolls(8 pieces) are around the $ 9 mark which is very good considering the quality of their rolls! One thing I will say is that a lot of the best rolls(Mr Fish, El Salmon, big bang, joy roll) have crab in them so if you don’t like crab, Roll & Katsu maybe isn’t for you. I feel REALLY passionate about this place and want to spread the word! Pay it a visit and you will want to do the same!

Mr. Fish has always been my go-to place for a quick sushi dinner in Koreatown, but it looks like they are now combined with the Katsu Curry place in the Food Gallery 32. The sushi is just as delicious as it has always been, and I can order Katsu at the same time as my sushi now. Woopee.

I was extremely depressed when I didn’t see Mr. Fish at the food court and had a look around at the restaurants around when I came across Roll & Katsu. Upon closer inspection, I realized the menu was the same as Mr. Fish and they even had the silly bowtie logo from before on one of their menus! I ordered the Havana Pearl(it is the roll that doesn’t have rice and uses cucumber to wrap the fish) and sure enough, it tasted as awesome as it did before when it was at Mr. Fish. I’ve yet to try the katsu here but all the rolls and food options they had from Mr. Fish are still here and as delicious as ever! The price is also the same so its still affordable!
