Ordered the Bok Choy with Chicken over rice from Jin Jya Roo along with the side order of pork. VERYDISAPPOINTING. The bok choy was sandy and did not enjoy the extra ‘crunch’ every bite. They also used very old bok choy so it was very hard to chew thru. My jaw is so tired from chewing not even a quarter of the bok choy. The side order of pork is not anything close to the photo on the menu. The photo shows thick slices of pork. What I got was paper thin slices that is not worth half the price I paid! False advertisement!!! If I didn’t take the order to go, I would complain in person. I do not suggest ordering from this stall at all!

Crazy busy, and even though there was a decent variety, prices across the street seems slightly better depending on what you want. The chocolate dipped taiyaki is a definite highlight.

I’m here to recommend one specialty here – duck&chicken feet soup on third floor. As a person who grew up in Guangdong, the province which is recognized for its soup culture, I can say it is the BEST soup in K-town! Must try! Great for girl’s skin too :) They have a seperate dipping sauce for duck meat too. I feel like I’m in heaven.

To be fair, I was in a rush and chose the restaurant with the SHORTEST line, which probably wasn’t the wisest move for the most delicious lunch, so this review is for that small restaurant on the right-hand side tucked under the stairs. I was intrigued to see what $ 8 could buy me. I’m so used to sky-high Manhattan prices that anything under $ 10 piques my interest. I quickly perused the menu and saw kimchi sujebi(kimchi hand-pulled noodles) for around $ 8.50. It came up to just under $ 10 after taxes and such. The food came quickly(as I had hoped it would!), but ATWHATCOST? The«kimchi broth» was probably kimchi, water and some salt for flavor(booooo). «Hand-pulled noodles»? They may pull it by hand for some, but I received a bowl of rubbery noodles with the world’s most undesirable consistency. Just… not a pleasant experience. I am not one to waste food, but I could barely carve through a quarter of the noodles. I drank the soup, ate the pitiful bunch of vegetables that was given to me and called it a day. My coworkers ordered from other places and received much more appetizing dishes, so I’m pretty sure I just had bad luck with this one dish at this particular restaurant.

I ordered a bibimbap for the first time here at the only place inside that sells bibimbap, and I gotta say, it wasn’t as good as expected. It may be that I didn’t like it in general or its just the place, but it was a cool experience overall with the cracked raw egg in the middle. I got the hot stone pot version and the burned rice on the bottom made it taste better.

One of my favorite Ktown places! Been coming here since high school when it first opened and I’ve never been disappointed! All the food here is tasty, well-portioned, very affordable, and there are so many vendors and thus infinite options! Whatever Korean cuisine you’re feeling that day, they have it! My favorite vendor is GoChuJang(Korean School Food). They have amazing Dukbokki(korean spicy rice cakes). There’s also a Red Mango downstairs, a little fridge section for drinks and snacks, and Spot dessert upstairs! Great place for lunch! It’s light and open, built like a cafeteria, so there’s nothing special about the décor, but it’s always very clean. Bathrooms, free water, and Kpop tunes on the upper floor. Self-served. You get an electronic pager, pick our a place to sit, then wait for the pager to buzz.

I’ve been to food gallery countless times, but I never know what to get. At most times, I’m just standing there, staring at the overhead menus of each vendor, as pictures of food overwhelm me. Today I decided I was going to come prepared. I saw a picture someone posted of an omelette wrapped in rice with pork cutlet and had my eyes, heart and stomach set on it. I entered the food court and finally felt an overpowering sense of control. I knew what I was going to get and I was going to get it! No more time wasting, contemplating. Ten minutes later I was a happy camper as I sat down with my Omelette pork katsu rice. I have to say the portion is definitely a decent size. It comes with an entire pork cutlet, miso soup and a generous serving of the side salad. I was satisfied. Food gallery definitely has a ton of options and you will definitely get the most bang out of your buck. The only thing is that sometimes seating is very limited, especially during lunch hour, but is expected with all cheap eats. There is seating upstairs and up upstairs. Also, there’s a SPOT dessert on the 3rd floor that some people may not know of. I’d also recommend the kibimbap from the last vendor on the left hand side. I got the katsu from the vendor all the way in the back, to the left.

When I have a sudden craving for A. kimchi rice B. Fish cake soup C. Dukbokki, this is my go-to place. Very affordable! They also have a great dessert place upstairs! Haven’t tried it for myself yet but I have only heard of good things. So much love for this food court. And it doesn’t hurt that Gong Cha is right across from this establishment. After stuffing myself with Korean food, I go and have milk tea afterwards.

The food court is nice, I honestly just went there to sink my foodie pallet into a variety of buns and quite frankly they were all delicious especially the spicy ones. I will say that I was not disappointed in the level of heat packed into each one.

I love this food court and here’s my take upon visit #1 so you don’t waste your stomach space: *Get: –Rice cake in hot sauce – cheap and surprisingly good, make sure you get a generous helping of the green onions, it’s delish! But it might make you fiber deficient, so wash it down with some… –Pork belly ramen from the ramen stand. Delicious and they keep it in a seram wrap to keep it piping hot! Where’s the fiber? It comes with a side of kimchi ;) *Don’t get: –The fish cake soup at the rice cake place, nothing compared to Oden you could get in Japan/Taiwan/Korea. –Those fish pastries, yup, the red bean paste or cream filled ones, they’re a disappointment. They seriously not comparable what you’d have in Korea or Taiwan. Skip it. –Those kim-chi and other fixins bao(bun), skip it. They’re terrible, they cheaped out on the fillings which are pretty tasteless, and are chockful of cellophane noodles, gross.

I have absolutely no idea what I want but I’m gonna get it anyways dammit. there is no where in the untitled states where I get so many options to choose from this late at night… lucky I’m in NYC… Food gallery has many types of Asian cuisine to choose from… including desserts… not a restaurant but a food court itself… –most are spicy –some are stinky –almost all are garlicky –all the vendors are good –plenty of seats tip-bathroom is on the third floor…

Mostly crowded and understaffed but easy to get to and cheaper than most places in Koreatown. This 3 story food court has plenty of options for the hungry guy or gal, including buns, bibimbap, kimbap, froyo(Red Mango), Kung Fu Tea, ramen, katsu curry, tteokbokki, rice plates, and my all time favorite dessert place upstairs(Spot Dessert Bar). The seating has undergone some changes in the past few years but still seems very cramped. They are pretty busy even on a weekday afternoon(~330pm ish). The plates and utensils must be returned to the cleaning stations located in a few areas inside. I only come here because it is usually quick and has more space than its competitor across the street(Woorijip). They also have a restroom on the 3rd floor and it is passable in terms of sanitation.

Ambiance: it’s a food court, that gets pretty crowded at times Service: depends on which restaurant in the food courts you visit but on average they are all pretty nice and you get the food in a timely manner Food: there has been many additions regarding places to eat and drink here, there’s a little bit for everyone! Buy it to stay buy it to go. Whatever you’re feeling. And the prices aren’t horrible

Taiyaki — That’s all I need. So far I’ve tried both the red bean and cream cheese Taiyaki, and both are good! I haven’t tried other food here yet, but I will definitely come back and try the spicy rice cakes!

Wow has food gallery really stepped it up in the past year. I used to not like to go to this place, because it felt like discount food at a discount price and nothing really hit the spot of feeling satisfied when I really wanted to have some soul korean food. However, having gone back after a year, all the little restaurants really stepped it up! The food quality and freshness was impressive overall! I tried a lot of my friends food which we all got something different from somewhere else and everything tasted pretty great. I think people are really noticing too because all 3 floors of the place was pretty packed when it used to only be like half full. Check this place out. The chicken place downstairs, the tteokbokki, the korean bbq pork, I would recommend it all. I got the 4 piece chicken with the vegetable friend rice and it was pretty good and only 8 bucks. Come thru!

I’m going to call BS on any review that has a 2⁄3 star rating. This is a food court environment, so you have to expect food court food! It is always crowded, but that is literally everywhere in Koreatown on busy night or weekend. I have never had a problem with seating. Honestly, just wait five minutes! I prefer this place because of all the options available and it’s very casual because it’s self-service. The food is priced very well, but not dirt cheap like other reviewers had wanted. Seriously, considering where this is located in the city, I would say it’s well priced. Seriously, this place is worth a try no matter if you’re a local or tourist — you will find something you like.

You can never go wrong coming here. There’s much variety. From ramen to Froyo, they have it all. Everyone’s cravings will be satisfied. It gets very busy so it can be a bit hard to find a place to sit. Definitely check all floors multiple times. Eventually you’ll find something because people always come and go. Also be sure to try some Korean drinks that are on the side of the first floor. My friend and I decided to try a grape one and it was deliciously unique and addicting.

I’m a guy who likes options when it comes to food. This spot is basically an Asian food court, with different restaurants and varying cuisines. The spots frequent are Bunn, cheap and they have options for everybody, from Sweet potato Bunns to Pork ones. There is another restaurant(the name escapes me, as most of them do inside of here, I just know and I go), that has Tonkatsu Chicken Cutlet with omelette stuffed with veggie fried rice. We usually share this as it’s pretty large, and also comes with a miso soup on the side. I used to get a spicy chicken noodle soup from the spot under the stairs on the right, but they revamped and I don’t see the same options any more. Tip: The Korean Ramen is more likely than not to be package Ramyum(from Shin, korean Ramen/Ramyum maker) so spending anything over $ 3 is not going to be worth it. Better off going to Woorijip across the street and adding hot water to the instant noodle soup. Just a heads up.(One of the employees confirmed it was the instant variety, I won’t say names to protect their identity). There are all kinds of options in here and Fro-Yo too, which some places receipts with grant you a discount on your Fro-Yo purchase. Plenty of seats to sit and and the energy is youthful. Tip#2: Don’t bring outside food(well you can try, lol), they caught my friend and asked her to leave, lol. Oh well. Check it out.

This is like a 1980’s food court in the middle of Koreatown. The food is good when you are either in the middle of drinking or you want to sober up. To me, this was a place to get the quickest order of spicy rice cakes(ddeokbukki). Without that, I would not be coming back. Seating — for some reason — always seems to be on a short supply. Cafeteria type food here and nothing special. It seems like a place for a last resort to resolve your hunger, but there are much better places.
