Panpan

I’m not sure my tasting of one dish warrants a review but Unilocal says I should. I ordered the steamed pork dumplings from the counter inside Food Gallery 32 and the lady at the counter was really nice. I had to wait for the dumplings to be freshly steamed so I was given a buzzer which would alert me when it was ready for collection. The dumplings were nice enough and hot and were served with garlicky soy dip that went really well together.

Panpan is a little booth set up inside of what I would describe as a Korean cafeteria dining area in K-​Town. My friend after a vigorous round of trivia down the block this week was craving specifically Oreo Bubble Tea and we stepped inside on our way back to the train. I have no regrets after seeing a sign that advertised for takoyaki. What I do regret is their price to portion size ratio. I wasn’t really in the mood for eating that night but I can’t resist a good takoyaki ball. They are $ 4.95 for only 4 balls. Doing the math, that’s more than a buck per ball. The takoyaki are on the fairly small size but very creamy inside. Flavor was good, enjoyed the traditional accompaniments with mayo and bonito flakes but the amount of octopus was sparse and I just left feeling that I wanted more.
Few other things on their menu: stuffed chicken wings, kimchi fries, dumplings, teriyaki combos, and fried rice and miso soup combos. Just still a bit pricey for korean takeout with the amount of food you get.

The wings are the largest I have had in Korean style. I had the combo of wings and drums. And had half and half of the two spices. There are about 8 different choices in the food court. Lots of seating. As you finish they have people clean up your trays for you. I have been here before and really like the food they serve and very reasonable prices

Food: their fried rice is really good! As is the teriyaki beef and their wings!
