Nestled in the financial district you’ll find this smaller num pang shop from their chain but same great sandwiches. It’s really all about the great bread, sauce, matched with the ingredient of choice. Had the pork sandwich. Porky goodness. The bread alone is worth it, soft and chewy bready interior and a bready crunch outside. Go for the pork belly. The right amount of pickled vegetables and the spicey sauce. Knocked them down a star as they forgot my corn on the cob with queso cheese. As the front to back communication seemed a bit erratic. The corn came off cold even though i did see grill marks on it. Great drinks as well that they make in house especially the lemonaide.

$ 10 – 12 for a delicious, unique, albeit small sandwich. If you can get on board with that, then Num Pang is the place for you. The chain is spreading pretty fast around Manhattan, which is cool, and more and more people are getting on the banh mi train. The bread they use is pretty great, and the pickled vegetables are just the right consistency to go with the hunk of meat(or cauliflower/tofu) in the middle. My go-to is the pork belly or chicken sandwich. I probably shouldn’t eat the pork belly so much, but it is delicious, and the slather of mayo makes it extra rich. However, the chicken is delicious too, and is only $ 6 during happy hour(5−7pm), along with the cauliflower sandwich. I’ve never tried the other dishes, but given the high prices and what I’ve heard from friends about the non-sandwiches, I’m not highly inclined to do so. One thing I don’t like is that they don’t allow substitutions or modifications, for some reason. I personally have an aversion to cilantro(yes, it does taste like dish soap to me), so I would prefer that they don’t put any on my sandwich, but they are adamant about it. I’m okay with it, as I can just take the cilantro off my sandwich and it’s not really much of a difference to me, but how about people with legitimate allergies? Isn’t that sort of a giant middle finger to them? That’s straight up cold. I understand the desire to maintain the integrity of the product, but I think it would be easier just to allow modifications so more people can enjoy different things. In addition, the service at this location is very spotty. I’ve had my orders lost in the fold more than once, and while they are very apologetic, there has to be a better way to organize the orders so it doesn’t happen often. As previously mentioned, the prices aren’t the best for the value, as the sandwich is on the smaller side, but they are tasty, and, for the most part, filling. In all, the sandwiches here is are pretty great, but I wish I could say the same for everything else about Num Pang. In all, it is a good place to shake up my lunch options from week to week, but I definitely prefer Dig Inn, Dos Toros, or Mighty Quinn’s as a place to frequent.

I wasn’t really sure what Cambodian food was before getting something from here. Although, I’m not sure how close to authentic it is, considering that the menu is similar to that of a standard café menu. Nonetheless, the food is good. I ordered the Organic Spicy Tofu salad to go. I love that they put the dressing in small containers on the side along with Sriracha. I definitely didn’t need the extra hot sauce as the tofu was pretty spicy already! I liked that there were sprouts in the salad. The ingredients seemed very fresh — the salad was overall crunchy. Next time I’m in the city, I want to try the sandwiches and soups!

I love num phang sandwich! This sandwich shop is very close to my workplace. It is located inside brookfield– hudson eats. I always order deliveries or if I’m walking around the area I just grab it there. It is best to come to this area before 12 because its always crazy pack here! After lunch like around 2:30 to 3pm is good too. Most of the time I order the sandwich or the rice balls for luch. It taste really good & sometimes I get corn on the cob too. They have the sauce for the corn thats creamy & some cheese. Yum!

3.5−4 stars. Finally got to try this cute little sandwich shop! The style is definitely more fusion than Vietnamese. I really liked all of the interesting combinations and choices on the menu. I ordered the catfish sandwich, which was miso glazed. The fish was extremely tender and went well with the miso glaze. I thought that the glaze was a tad bit too sweet though-towards the end of my sandwich it got to be a little bit much. I would definitely try more sandwiches on the menu! Easy to to do this because they have lots of different locations in the city.
