It seems like Num Pang has not bothered to train its staff at this location. Either that or the quality of their sandwiches has deteriorated a whole lot because the Num Pang sandwiches I remember eating at other locations were delicious. This location is very disappointing. I got the skirt steak sandwich the first time I went, and the beef was overcooked and difficult to chew. The second time I went, I got the shrimp sandwich but was rung up for the shrimp salad, which is more expensive. I tried to explain that I had been charged the wrong amount but the person at the register said that the prices on the board must be wrong(they aren’t). I didn’t have the time to argue so I just paid extra. The sandwich had barely any vegetables(just a small helping of carrots and a couple of slices of cucumber) and just a few tiny pieces of shrimp. And way too much sauce.

Pork belly sandwich was decent, but way too small. A 10 dollar sandwich should leave you satisfied. I don’t know if Cambodian sandwiches are meant to be expensive versions of Vietnamese sandwiches, but that’s the only difference I see. Despite the portion size, the pork was high quality.

Food was okay. I got the spicy pork bowl. It wasn’t that hot and pieces of pork were only a couple. The yogurt sauce on top was overwhelming and took away from the pork. It wasn’t the worst but I wouldn’t order this again.

Called to place a dinner order(30 mins before close) and was asked to place order online. Went to place order online and was informed that store was closed. Called back and placed order — confirmed they would not deliver, even though we only live two blocks away. No problem. Went in person to pick up order(which included one chicken bahn mi) at which point I was first told they were out of chicken… C’mon guys… get it together and stop wasting time. We were very excited to see you establish an outpost in this neighborhood but based on this experience, not so excited anymore.

Just got the seasonal veggie rice with a side of Cambodian slaw delivered and it is superb. Very unique taste and super fresh ingredients. I can’t wait to eat there again!

I heard this place was good so went to check it out today. Went early to avoid the line and ordered the grilled steak. Waited 15 mins for my order while everyone was a matter of minutes, but that’s fine, figured they grill it. The bread is pretty good as well as the fixings. The steak is barely edible. And I say barely because I was able to rip off pieces small enough to swallow. The meat was cold and very rare. For $ 12 I’m not getting it again. I may try a different sandwich but for the size there’s a much cheaper Viet cart down the street is rather go to.

Super nice sandwich place. It’s Cambodian sandwiches here which I find very similar to vietnamese banh mi. It has the pickled carrots, cilantro, Hoisin sauce(seafood sauce) and siracha. I ordered the five spice pork belly sandwich and my friend ordered the coconut shrimp. The pork belly was amazing. The pork was marinated very well and it just melts in your mouth. The coconut shrimp was great as well. It had a very nice sweet coconut flavor. The only thing I’d say bad about this place is the size of the sandwich. They are all just 6 inches and not too cheap. It’s about 8 – 10 a sandwich. I means it’s reasonable since it’s located in the financial district but it wasn’t too filling. The staff there was very amiable and explained everything about the sandwiches.

I couldn’t believe it. Num pang opened. block away from my office. 3 words: skirt steak sandwich. The steak is tender and juicy and the whole sandwich is bursting with flavor. Inside are pickled carrots and cilantro to balance out the flavor of the meat. My girlfriend loves their pork belly sandwich(she likes anything that is full of fat), but the skirt steak is always going to be my favorite. There isn’t a lot of great food options for the working crowd in FiDi and Num Pang is truly a gem.

Finally tried Num Pang today since I work across the street. Its a nice small lunch spot. The lines went quick and the service was friendly. I tried the Peppercorn Catfish sandwich. It was good — decent piece of fish, plenty of veges and a nice soft baguette. However, the minuses are: 1 — There’s way too much soy sauce on the catfish. Since the sandwich is complemented with chili mayo, there really is no need for the fish to be covered in soy. 2. The inability to substitute. I understand why there’s not substitutions — many of their items are pre-prepared. So I really wanted a salad, but they couldn’t take off the peanuts because its already prepped with the salad. Because the food items are pre-prepped, the quality of their food will vary from day to day. Therefore I understand some of the bad reviews here.

If you’re looking for something that is cool, tasty, and healthy, order the Coconut Tiger Shrimp Noodles! These cold noodles are topped with flavorful shrimp and vegetables that make you forget that your are eating something healthy! This is a different approach to the ordinary salad and it is wonderful. Tip: Don’t forget to drizzle the House Dressing over it!

This location needs to figure out its shit. The pork belly and and bbq brisket were both super dry. Sauce is still decent and since it’s a new location maybe it’ll get better with time but in the short term avoid until they learn how to prepare the meat.

I was excited when this location opened and finally had the chance to stop by today. Win #1: I used LevelUp to pay, and upon scanning the QR reader froze. I told the cashier that I didn’t receive an email receipt, so the payment probably didn’t go through. I offered to pay using a credit card, but luckily for me, the manager overhead and insisted on giving me the sandwich for free(to avoid the risk of double charging). Win #2: The pulled pork sandwich was delicious! Very nice twist on the standard bahn-mi. Five stars for a great sandwich and excellent customer service.

This place recently opened in the area where my office is. I’m always seeking out a new lunch option so I gave it a go. It is my first bite at Cambodian food. Well, it was delicious. I was so pleased. I had the hot chicken soup and the chicken with brown rice bowl. Both had really bold flavors. Distinct flavors. I loved it. The soup was spicy and full of chicken and other stuff, not sure what else exactly. The rice bowl was soo yummy. The chicken was seasoned well and the sauce they put on top of the bowl was delicious. I also enjoyed the veggies that were included. I think it was Brussel sprouts, carrot and green beans. So good. My only complaint is that with three other competitors close by, who also sell similar type rice bowls(although not Cambodian) this place is the most expensive and based on what I have had at the other joints, this was the least amount of food. The rice bowl was a little skimpy for the price to be over $ 9.00. So that is something to consider. Otherwise, I definitely plan to return!

Really tasty Asian fusion sandwiches. I had the pork belly which they served with a huge portion of pork. I will definitely be back to try their other delicious looking options

Delicious, fast and friendly service, great addition to the options around here. I’m pretty picky about the bread used on sandwiches like these, but I have to say this one is pretty perfect. Nice crunch, but not hard and dried out like many can be. I’ve tried the pulled pork and ginger brisket so far. To be honest they taste fairly similar, but they’re both good. Also tried the Cambodian slaw on a whim and love it. It’s pretty spicy, but so magically flavorful.

I was super excited when this spot opened up just a few blocks from my FiDi office! In the past there hasn’t been much more than a Prett or a Cosi, so this is amazing variation for the area. I just came back from trying my first sandwich here– I ordered the pulled pork sandwich and honestly, to. Die. For. The woman at the register was extremely sweet and helpful as I was trying to decide between like, 8 different items. Her recommendation was so spot on! Prob the most delicious bread I’ve ever had, and they are v. generous with the meat. I went a little before 2 so the line wasn’t bad and I only waited about 3 minutes for my sandwich. Will DEFINITELY be going back to try more!

Recommendation: Pork Belly Sandwich(must) and the Blood Orange Lemonade I had the skirt steak, was way too stringy, good flavor but too stringy. They need to work on that. Also, regarding the place itself, they had way too menu people asking for items they were out of. they need to step their game up at this location.

Great sandwiches, FAST service. These are bigger and better than the Pang sandwiches I remember(perhaps because I haven’t had it in a long time.) Pay attention to the number on your check! This new location is clean and friendly — and the line moves fast. They’ve added some new sandwiches since the time I visited the 41st location, so I’ll definitely be back.

The sandwich was tasty but having to wait to order when no one was in the store because the register guy felt the need to bullshit and talk about«the system» kind of pissed me off. Doubt I’ll be back anytime soon. May order if they deliver. And the address is not 75 Broad Street, its 317 South Williams Street around the corner from Broad.

The lines for a restaurant should never be an indicator of quality, price or even general Wow! Factor. I learned that the hard way today. This place is super close to my office, so I figured I’d try to go later in the day when there was a lull. Doesn’t seem to be a lull any time before 2PM. The place is small though, so maybe it’s artificially set up to look that way. Got the ginger BBQ pork sandwich. Not that great. Two Slabs of ehh meat, heavy mayo and not even enough to cover the whole sandwich. I could get this sort of thing more abundantly and cheaper in Chinatown. Overall mindlessness. Mindless lines, mindless people, and even I felt mindless when I finished my sandwich and hardly realized I had begun.
