This is the spot my wife and I chose for our obligatory«slice of NYC» pizza on our first visit to NYC. It was across the street from our hotel(The NYC Marriott East Side) and the reviews looked decent so we gave it a shot. Overall I was pleased. They have a great selection of pies with slices ready to go and sandwiches made to order. The price was great and the ingredients were quality. They use real pieces of home-made style sausage, not that commercial junk you see a lot of other places use. I was impressed.

Went there for lunch time 12:30PACKED! Waited a good 20 minutes to order but at the end it was worth it. I got the chicken parm which was made fresh in front of me. Fresh hero, premade breaded chicken marinara sauce and mozzarella. Simple and delicious. $ 7.25 totally worth it. Would come back again and time it so that i get there at 11:45 or 1:15 when the lines die down. You can also call in orders which i might try next time. Call in and pick up!

Ordered online and it was ready when I got there. I found the place ok, but I was a little confused about where to go to pick-up my order. But then I heard the guy call out«pick-up eggplant parm.» Got it back to the office and I planned on eating half and saving half for later. Yeah, that didn’t happen. It was really yummy and I really like the fresh, soft bread. **I’ve been back a few times now. I tried the chicken parm w/vodka sauce, which is good, but I like the eggplant better. I honestly didn’t notice that the vodka sauce made it any better. Penne w/vodka sauce is standard. I wouldn’t order it again.

Great place in Midtown. I visit everytime I am in NYC for business. Great food, friendly and fast staff — orders are always right and delicious, no matter what you order. This is not really a ‘sit down’ place and it gets pretty busy at lunch. I usually place an online order, they call when it is ready and walk over to grab it and take back to the office or hotel. Highly recommend!

Quick, tasty pizza by the slice. About a 100 people ordered the chicken parm hero. Next time I’ll try it.

Stopped in for lunch. Right across from the hotel. We can eat here every day. Pizzas were great and the baked ziti was really good. They had a few places to sit so bonus in the city.

Great small pizza shop in NYC. We ordered two large pizzas(pepperoni and sausage with black olives) and loved both of them. The prices were very reasonable for New York City and the pizzas were delicious. It’s very easy to miss because its so small(we walked by twice) but it’s definitely worth it.

In from Ohio and looking for some authentic New York style pizza. We were not disappointed! Real, thin crust pizza, dough made from scratch, delicious cheese and sauce especially. We ordered the pizza online and it was ready in 15 minutes. Very friendly staff at the restaurant when we picked it up. The pie was a lot bigger than we thought it would be, too! Had to give 3 slices to the musicians at our hotel!

This hole in the wall, has some of the best pizza in NYC, and the best Chicken Parm I’ve ever had. They take freshly baked bread, and then generously throw on your choice of Vodka Sauce or Marinara(both good, but i usually go with the vodka sauce — both always thick and not watery), and then generous layers of cheese and seasoned chicken parm(the veal and eggplant are also killer — and they allow you to mix). Then they throw it in a pizza oven, to make an already great parm, into the best parm. Absolute must have!

La Bellezza is one of my favorite lunch spots! They have the best chicken parms. They are so big that I usually can’t finish the whole thing in one sitting. The restaurant layout is quite confusing though — the order area is split into 2 sections based on what you want to eat. After you order, you pay at the cashier and listen for your order. However, you don’t get an order number so you listen for what you ordered. which can get confusing as a lot of people order chicken parms. You just have to pay attention.

This little place that is very easy to miss is hard to miss because it’s packed with people. Honestly I don’t know how they keep up with who paid because the place is chaotic, people order from one person and pay another, but somehow everything works and everyone gets paid. I think any typical hole-in-the-wall pizza places in Manhattan makes great pies, but Unilocal ratings are always middling for those places. This place has 4 stars, so I was curious to try them out. Well, jury’s still out as to whether they stand head-and-shoulders above the«typical» joints, but for sure, they are good. I’ve had a pizza here and a calzone. Pizza is great, with perfect crust and perfect dough. Just a bit better in that department than those other places, which is saying a lot. The calzone was good, but not great. I love the marinara sauce they give you with the calzone, which enhances the ricotta & sausage calzone that would have been a bit bland without it. About a good third of the people were ordering the chicken parmagiana sandwich. Looked SOOOO good coming out of the oven. I’m ordering that next time. Table-for-1 Factor: Well, this place is designed for eating alone, IF you can find a seat. Like I said, it’s tiny and there are very little seating. It’s basically a to-go place.

Another one we get at the office, pretty good, nothing really that makes it stand out.

I don’t see the hype. The chicken parm tasted like what I would get at any cheap NY pizza joint. It was just not that good and the cutting up of chicken pieces makes it messier in that they can fall out. The place is chaotic and extremely unorganized. They need to structure their queue system.

Solid little pizzeria, emphasis on little. It’s a hole in the wall with about 8 stools. We grabbed a quick dinner on a Saturday night. It must be a freak show during the week. We did a scientific survey of their pizza. We tried plain, lasagna, spinach and mushrooms, pepperoni and mushrooms, and sausage. All were above average. The guy behind the counter was surprising personable. No charm, no atmosphere, just above average pizza in a non-descript setting.

Just arriving in NYC and looking for a quick lunch. Now this is often a challenge because I don’t eat meat or cheese. Lucky for me, my friend wanted pizza(insert sarcasm). I saw pasta on the menu so that was an option. I ordered the penne vegetarian pasta without parm. My friend had a few slices of pizza, tomato and broccoli which he mentioned was ok. I actually enjoyed the pasta; very flavorful with garlic and spinach. They went a little overboard on the mushroom but I just put them aside. Overall the food was better than I expected from a pizza joint.

I work around the corner and have never been here, up until a few days ago, when my friend told me to get the eggplant parm from this place. It’s a bit difficult to find, as there’s no sign out front(at least I didn’t think see one), but you can tell it’s an Italian pizza joint by the smell and the décor. When I walked in around 130ish, there were a few people waiting, but it wasn’t crazy busy(thankfully). If you want to order pizza, it was straight ahead, and if you wanted a sandwich or pasta dish, you ordered from another counter on the side. The pizza looked good, but my mind(and stomach) were eyeing the eggplant parm. The two guys that I spoke with(the one who took my order/made my food and the cashier) were extremely nice. The cashier even chatted with me for a bit and I told him it was my first time and I’ve heard good things about the eggplant parm. When I glanced over at the guy making the sandwich, he carefully took a long hero roll, and carefully placed strips of breaded eggplant on the sandwich. He then went behind the pizza counter, added the cheese, and placed it in the oven. When it was done, he took it out, put a healthy amount of sauce, wrapped it up, and it was good to go. When I got back to the office, it was still piping hot and after my first bite, I was sold. They have a delicious eggplant parm sandwich that fills you up and doesn’t have a measly two strips of eggplant on a panini roll that’s dry. You can taste the flavors in the sauce — the tomatoes, oregano, spices, and the eggplant was grilled nicely. The bread doesn’t harden as fast as most sandwiches either, probably because the sauce helps to keep it moist so that each bite has a bit of crunch and savor. Overall, it’s a solid spot and I’d definitely recommend the eggplant parm to anyone. I’m interested now in trying their pizza and possibly other pasta dishes(although, I normally stay away from pasta for lunch).

Like I had mentioned earlier about my substance(pizza) abuse issue so when i learned about this place naturally I had to come visit. I a tiny little place and you can walk past it without noticing so be cautious. The price though I felt were a bit on an expensive end $ 4.50 for a slice can be a bit tight. The pizza itself was good but not the best. I felt the sauce was a bit on the salty side and the base was not enough crunch or chewy(native NY style pie). All in all a good slice of pie will definitely come back
