The bartender Kathy is an evil pirate wench. After we opened our tab and got our initial round she ignored us all night, pronounced Bulleit like the thing that fires out of a gun, and went out of her way to harass my friend after closing out the tab and leaving a completely respectable tip of 15% -(after she had tipped 20% in cash to the other bartender on shift who actually acknowledged us) — she literally stopped my friend in her tracks on the way out of the bar and launched into this self righteous tirade about what she felt she deserved. News flash honey, you don’t deserve shit because you’re a shitty bartender. Two stars because the empath within me recognizes that if I were in her position — a daft, uninteresting, physically decaying 40 something barmaid — I too would hate myself and everything around me. Sad, really.

I love iggys!!! It’s underrated because it’s next to the stumble inn. Iggys is so much more fun — I actually stopped in one night after drinking heavily at the stumble inn and I’m happy I did! The bartenders are great(especially Danny!) and the karaōke, while very random, is always fun. Can’t wait to get back there soon.

Loved this place! Received free shots upon arrival for me and my entire party(for simply liking a fb post). Good drinks, great crowd and a photo booth! My friends and I also had a blast taking over the karaōke stage. 4 stars because the bathrooms were gross and karaōke list was slightly limited and outdated but I’d definitely return. .drink this is your place!

If 2nd Ave between 75th/76th were a family, Iggy’s would be the neglected stepchild next to its popular and spoiled older sibling, The Stumble Inn. Most people walk past it and hardly take notice. Try as Iggy’s might with their drink specials and hand-written signs outside that boast a good time, they can’t quite seem to draw in the crowds. But that’s actually part of what’s great about Iggy’s. I’ve been to Iggy’s twice, both times because The Stumble Inn was too crowded. It’s chill, non-pretentious, and under-rated. The bartenders are very friendly and very Irish, and the bar-goers are laid-back. They also have karaōke on certain nights, darts, and other games to play. They have a full bar and a decent selection of beers on tap. Their specialty cocktails are all terribly sweet, so unless you’re a just-turned-21 college kid, skip these. They also have a food menu with your standard pub fare like nachos and wings. So the next time you’re looking for a great place to hit up for a drink and maybe a conversation with a friendly stranger without all the rowdiness, give Iggy’s a try.

We went to this bar as a group of 4. Seems like fun but they really only cater to friends of the DJ, bartenders and staff. We paid for karaōke songs and we were eventually given a refund one half hour after we were told our songs would be up.

I absolutely LOVEIGGY’S! On November 10th2015 I celebrated my birthday at IGGY’S. My guests and I had an amazing time! I planned my birthday a week in advance and Ryan at IGGY’S was great he helped me figure out drink specials for my guess and all other logistic issues. On the day of my event Iggy the owner was there to facilitate everything! The bartender Kathy(sp?) was so accommodating. The karaōke DJ was the BEST! My guests loved it they were able to sing and dance and were easily served at the bar. The manager Edris(sp?) was also very sweet. My guests and I ordered food from next door and she helped us coordinate all of the orders and payments. I absolutely recommend having any event you could possibly think of at IGGY’S! Thanks so much IGGY and STAFF! You all are the best!

My best friend and I had a blast. It’s so diverse and the drinks aren’t expensive. They had $ 5 tequila shots as well. Great song selection. The wait is long but watching the others was fun. I want to go back soon!

A fun karaōke bar on the upper east side. A little divey. I like that. Got to sing three songs and was well-received, so that was nice. The low light was that the music was set too high and the mic set too low. Some of the song versions were different, not the Sunfly or Sound Choice versions I’m used to. Beer was $ 5, a jack and Coke $ 10. NY is very proud of there stuff.

Love this place! Iggy, Ryan, Kristy and the crew are helpful and have assisted me in running some fundraising events for various charities. Always a lot of fun and a great place to sing karaōke or meet great people on a night out. p.s this is always my dads first stop, when he visits from Australia! Cheers guys, for a great establishment in the city :)

I usually come in during the week because I really like Neil and Kathy, so I decided to check out the place on a Saturday with a few friends. I was excited to see that the place was so packed and I had a good time. When I was on my way out, I asked the bartender to close me out with the card I had given her. She proceeded to tell me that I had already closed out(which I had not) and shows me a receipt where $ 26 had been charged to my card. She assured me I had closed out and she had given me my card back, but neither had happened. About 5 minutes later a different bartender came up to me and told me that the girl bartender had charged someone else’s drinks to my card, and then given my card to that person. He was very apologetic and bought my friends and I a round. I understand human error, but she was quite incompetent and a this was a big inconvenience for me.

Iggy’s is a bar my friends and I would frequent because of the karaōke and atmosphere. Tonight, we presented valid identification to a manager, Dan, who refused service because he had«scanned the ID»(on his cell phone) and found it to be a fake. I then asked him to scan the exact same ID in front of me, and it went through. He then told me that it wasn’t the same ID I originally showed him and asked us to leave. As someone who works in hospitality, I am ALL about fairness and the fear of being fined for serving minors. HOWEVER, refusing service to four adults because of inaccurate notions about an ID’s validity is just straight up bad business. Basically, there are less divey karaōke bars near UES with legitimate scanners and/or means of proving the validity of identification. Also the staff just sucks in general. Thanks for reading, Bitter, but not wrong.

Iggy’s is a bar of many distinctions. I was initially lured into the place on a lovely spring day because of a sandwich board announcing that every drink in the bar is half-priced on Sunday afternoon. Really, no more needs to be said beyond that if you have ever once pulled your card out of your wallet in NYC. However, see below. I kept going back because I tend to frequent places without too much pretense. As somewhat of a dive bar junkie, I appreciated the nonchalant attitude, the dark interior, and the multitude of TV’s that were graciously tuned to my playoff series of choice. The majority of the time the crowd is enjoyable and laid-back(until karaōke time). As with all good and friendly bars, it’s easy to strike up a conversation with someone on the next stool, or just sit with a chum and down your drink of choice. The service at Iggy’s is impeccable. Every single employee not only makes sure that the bottom of your glass is never dry, but also manages to keep genuinely friendly conversations going even if the place is packed. Six stars for service. The karaōke is a bit of a wild card for me, as that is not really my scene. However, I have never seen such an enthusiastic group of drinkers actually enjoy bad singing and act like they are at Britney Spears Planet Hollywood rather than just listening to a drunken frat boy sing. People adore the karaōke here, and when one of my best friends was visiting from Mexico City and said that it would make her life if I took her to an NYC karaōke bar, well… it was fun. Oh, and now there is a popcorn machine, so there’s that too for your munchies.

Awesome casual fun karaōke bar ues. I like this spot because even if you don’t sing you won’t feel uncomfortable taking the stage and trying — unlike some karaōke bars where they seem to come from Broadway to karaōke which can be intimidating for those of us who only sing in the shower occasionally — but here there is a mix of amazingly talented people showcasing their talents(while people sing dance clap and support from the dance area and tables just off the stage) but also people who are tone deaf and just having fun are supported by the crowd having fun. I’ve been here several times — it can be really crowded(Saturday’s I believe) and then it takes forever to get to sing — but other times it’s not crowded and doesn’t take long. They play music occasionally in between the karaōke songs so people dance and just have a great time .: the bartenders are exceptionally friendly and the manager Ryan was so on his game, personable and making everyone at the bar feel welcome … Def a highly recommended casual bar to go for singing and people watching when you are in the mood for a karaōke spot.

What can I say? There was a guy walking around polishing off(actually drinking) all the half empty glasses of beer that littered the«dance floor». I actually kind of like this place. On the right night, when you’ve packed the place with your own friends, that is. The wind blows in some questionable characters, who seem to have come for the heat or to get close to the throngs of Northbound run-of-the-mill tramp-stamped chitterlings of Murray Hill that congregate en-masse. Hey — if you wanna feel like the Kansas City Karaōke Queen for a night, they do have an elevated stage and functional screens on all sides which means you can really perform. Just make sure to not fall off — because people ARE watching.

Considering how this place is right next door to the famous Stumble Inn, I’d say it is an under-rated bar in the UES. Very narrow and dive-y when you first walk in, but then opens up to a larger room in the back which can accommodate larger groups. They have good specials pretty much every night of the week, and a free whisky shot if you check in on Unilocal! How thoughtful! I also like their wings, very crispy and well seasoned. Bar tenders are friendly and quick to serve you even on busy nights.

Any night that you unexpectedly end up at Iggy’s is a good night. Actually, I suggest you don’t plan a trip there… just let it happen. It’s nothing fancy, just your standard karaōke bar, but if you want to have just a hilarious night with friends(that you won’t ever stop talking about), this is your spot. The crowd is all over the place, young, old, just people getting their Celine Dion or Frank Sinatra on. It’s $ 2 per song, but who cares. The sign-up list is usually pretty long so if you want to get on stage, I suggest signing up as soon as you get there. The wait could be very long. That said, the place gets pretty crowded so be prepared for that. Good times all around though!
