The people that work here are obnoxious and pretentious– and not even that good looking so they should get over themselves. They are probably the only ones writing good reviews for this place as no one in their right mind would ever return to this place. The drink«special» was 18 bucks??? Seriously??? Ree-diculous.

Karaōke in a club? Risky business, might make you look like a K-Town wannabe with the wrong price range… But Jelsomino manages to somehow pull it off — mainly by limiting horrible singers to 1 song and having good singers who work for the club cover up. So if you’re drunk and want to bawl out, there’s only a very slight chance that you’ll be harassing others’ acoustics. I’m also very appreciative of the décor and the vibe in general(though the 2 vodka bottles certainly helped) — we had a great time all in all!

Totally loved it! I am the person who doesn’t sing well enough and always shy to sing on stage, so the fact that singers help you out took my shyness away so totally had fun back vocaling. All my friends loved the place. The only problem would be waiting for ordered song to long. I understand concept of keeping people in a club but waiting not a good thing. I still love the place and watching people sing!!!

$ 12 for a bud lite? Seriously? U guys r retarded. Even the fanciest mixology places or hotel bars will have a cheap beer option. I asked and the bartender said there r no drinks cheaper on the menu. Also they gave some of my friends a hard time getting in until I came out and told them I was ELITE(jk, but i did come out) even tho the place was empty. Thank u Jelsomino for bringing meatpacking pretentiousness to the midtown area.

Overall this is very good place with very friendly atmosphere. Drinks are expensive $ 15 for margarita and $ 18 for cocktails, but they are good and worth it, also there is no cover charge. There are two rooms: one is a bar with low noise level and the other with dancing, signing and a lot of fun! The place to go! I recommend this!

We had a pretty bad experience here… i think if you want to go to a fancy, very expensive club, this is the place for you. If you actually want to sing karaōke, this is NOT the place for you. So here is how it works. Each song is $ 25. Yes, $ 25! The price of two drinks in a high-end bar. They have a large team of «professional» singer(I put«professional» in quotation marks because some were good and some were just plain awful) that sings the lion’s share of the songs. So the DJ will play two pop songs(and they’ll sing along), and then they do two or three songs by themselves, and then, THEN, if you’re lucky, your name will be called and you’ll get to sing. But… not so quick! They will still try to sing with you and upstage you. You actually have to go around collecting every single microphone from them to prevent this from happening. I was actually in shock that this went on. I just paid $ 25…to sing a duet with some broadway wannabe strangers? No thanks. I wasn’t paying for the drinks, someone else with a lot of money was, but I thought it was a bit high for what it was($ 400 for vodka — what is this, vegas?) And you don’t get to sit down unless you buy a bottle. I don’t even know if they let folks in who don’t buy a table. I actually thought the intense doorman was hysterical. You’re a club in midtown, steps from Times Square… you know you’re not in a cool area, right? You know the intense doorman policy is out of style right? Maybe this place is geared to tourists. I thought the DJ and the waitresses were actually very helpful and nice, probably the best part of the night. We left and went to Japas 55 for actual karaōke. $ 8 a person, cheap drinks, and it was a billion times more fun than this place. I will not be returning.

This is pretty fun. The songs are overpriced though(25 $/pp) You can get a table with vodka so it’s really like a lounge but with singing as well. I had fun but the staff was not that friendly to me and the songs were too pricy.

I loved the atmosphere, but paying $ 26 per song was WAY too much. There were about 6 songs before me, but it took about 15 songs in reality. Like another reviewer said, their internal promoters sing between amateurs’ performances, plus they play a no-sing-along song just to dance. That waiting time took about 1.5 hours, if not more. They actually had more internal performers than visitors willing to sing. I think they can get more people in if they cut down on internal performances and their prices. Otherwise they would stay as «high-end» half-empty place.

Surprised no one wrote a review for this place yet… Jelsomino is somewhat hidden. it is a couple doors down from the main entrance to Dream Midtown. You will take the steps down and walk right into the main«stage». Actually there are two stages, lit up in the old-school«disco» style. you have tables around the perimeter of the room. we had a table next to the DJ booth and had a pretty good view of everything. they won’t make you sing! but would you come to a karaōke bar if you are not going to sing??? all you need to do is to get one of the waitresses and get an iPad from here. there you can select a song you want to sing(a huge selection of Russian songs), and once it is your turn — they will call you up on stage. if have their«in-house» performers, so if you are not confident about your singing– they will sing along with you. of course it would not be Ginza Project’s baby if they stopped here… if you go to the left — there is another room full of burgundy couches, leather banquettes and movie set director’s chairs the names like Morrison, Cobain, Hendrix.etc. there are also some private rooms and a mysterious staircase :) I have been here several times since the opening, two times on a Friday, and was surprised to see that the place does not get too crowded. not sure if this is because it’s new, but i always have fun here. i have not been to Jelsomino in Moscow, but looking from pictures it has a similar feel to it. the crowd is a mix of all nationalities, but i would say more than half of people, who come here are Russian.
