Delivery took over TWOHOURS! Two hours for food that they don’t even make to order. And the soup came lukewarm and the bread was completely soggy. Still tasted ok hence the two stars but when you get soup you expect it to be hot.

I like their soups, but they are a little too salty. I find everything a little expensive at Hale & Hearty. I usually like their chili. It is pretty good. Also i like that they will give you a taste before you order the soup. Today I ordered their new chicken Satay simmer. It is one of three simmers they offer. It is tasty with a good amount of chicken and vermicelli. Looks nothing like the advertising photograph, which looks delicious. In reality looks like mush. And it only comes in one large size. Again, I think this is too expensive for what you get. The dish cost $ 11, and my bill with a bottle of soda was $ 14.74. I think this is pricey for lunch. The place us small and gets very crowded for lunch.

Last week I ordered the Italian sausage lentil with escarole. After eating almost all of the soup, I found a «nice» WORM in it. I will not order from here again, I assume the worm came from the escarole. Which means they do not wash their vegetables, greens and maybe the poultry. I would not trust this place after finding that in my soup.

I entered hale and hearty as they just open, like as they turned the key to open the door yet the veggies weren’t fresh. took a tossed salad the tomatoes were tired and some of the veggies weren’t crunchy. That’s too bad. The lady put way too much sauce before I had chance to say something but whatever…

In this review I will not review the product since I love the soups at hale and hearty. What I am reviewing is the customer service. I completely love the soups at Hale and hearty; one of my favorite soup places. I could say that I order or eat in at least once a week since I have a few hale and hearty locations near my office. today I am not feeling well and stayed home. I just called this location on Broadway only to find out that they deliver up to 92nd St. I explained to the manager that I am on 93rd and she would not budge or try to accommodate me because she has to stick to the routes; I even offered to pay a surcharge for going one block above the route since I can’t leave my house(once again feeling under the weather) so she said she could deliver to an address on 92nd St. and I can pick it up from there. I said that I do not have an address that if I can wait in the corner of 92nd and across street she said no, I need a physical address. Can you imagine? I’m going to stand in front of a building order a soup and wait for it?!! Where is customer service nowadays?!! I don’t understand why some companies specially big ones corporations as this one do not care about the one individual; that’s why sometimes is better to support the mom-and-pop places that bend over backwards and go out of their way to accommodate you. Customer service is not just smiling and taking people’s orders; customer service is to serve and accommodate your customers, all of them not just the ones that walk in to your stores but the ones that make phone calls, order online or have a need or want for your product. That is TRUE customer service. My review will be a two star because Hale and Hearty has a five-star product with a zero star customer service

Service is nice and the lemon water is a nice touch. Sandwich + soup combo is a good deal. The asparagus+potato+leek soup was hot and flavorful but unfortunately there were ends of asparagus that were tough and impossible to chew. The limited edition dijon chicken salad sandwich on a pretzel croissant was creative and yummy. The size of free bread is also generous. Plus they accept Levelup.

It’s the same Hale and Hearty you know and love, but the staff here is extremely nice and upbeat! The manager in particular just did not stop smiling throughout our whole interaction, she seems like a really sweet person who keeps a happy team. I had gotten her name and totally forgot about it– hope she’s doing well!

I like coming here, sitting by the big windows and just people watching while giving a bite while I’m in the area. Especially during cold season.

Really like this particular location. It’s clean, spacious, doesn’t run out of soup flavors as often as other locations. Plus, they’re are always plenty of vegetarian options. Salads and sandwiches are good too. Whenever I’ve ordered delivery, they’re always super-quick.

Great soups! And what a collection of them too! I really liked their lentil chili soup. The soup was delicious. They have few locations across the city, and I have seen multiple of them, but this was my first time here. I wish I would discover this place earlier. I’m a soup lover and often crave nice warm bowl of soup, finally a place is found. Service was not bad, prices are good. Didn’t like their salad, I forgot which one I had, sandwich was OK.

All hail the soup gods, because hale and hearty brought back the Cauliflower Cheddar! YESYES… yes yes… I order from this particular Hale & Hearty about once a week, sometimes more often. The salads are incredible, and their strawberry balsamic vinaigrette is the best. But be prepared, this isn’t just any soup. Hale & Hearty has mastered soup and made it an exact science. Every order is flawlessly prepared, hot, and right on time. Fast delivery, efficient customer service, if there’s ever a problem they take very good care of you but problems rarely ever happen. Try the Cauliflower Cheddar while it’s in season; but honestly, almost all of their soups are good

Hale and Hearty. Hale and Hearty. Why art thou Hale and Hearty? Why not be HAIL and Hearty. Or Hale and HARDY. H squared, you do me proud, son. Your soups are by far the most creative concoctions. I always order a small, then I get mad at myself for not ordering at least a medium size bowl. Because it’s lip-smackin’ good. I don’t think I’ve ever, yet, ordered a sammie or a soup that I wasn’t absolutely pleased with. The reason why I gave you 4 stars, is because, sometimes your lines suck! I get it, there’s a lot of hungry folks, but it’s kinda confusing at times. Not sure which line to stand in: is it the salad? The sandwich? The soup? Then, you have to find the counter?(I wish that were more streamlined.) Other than that, love you guys. You rock my panties off!

Got a crab tomato soup combo with a half sandwich. Shame on me for not checking prices but damn near $ 10 for a small soup and a mediocre half ham and Swiss? Drink not included of course. They have free water in pitchers but at these prices they kinda have to. Bathroom was clean which was nice but an employee having to yell for counter service multiple times… not so much. I was going to throw the rest of my soup out but at 10 bucks I decided to bronze it and put it on a shelf.

Let’s start out with a little Seinfeld, shall we? I’m sure you know where this is going: Hi. My name is Brittany Smith and I am addicted to soup. What kind of soup? Funny you ask. I just so happen to be an equal opportunity lover. You’ll find me eating all sorts of soup. No discrimination here — no sireebob — well, Campbell’s is my one soup snob exception. Chunky. Hot. Cold. Pureed. Fruit. Savory. You name it and I’m eating it with one bigass smile on my face. Hale & Hearty is located inside the fabulously fancy yet approachable walls of Chelsea Market. Unlike the Soup Nazi, these folks are willing to give you plenty of their time(and samples). I was in a particularly fickle mood and somewhat overwhelmed with my options. What’s that you say? Not just one chilled soup, but four! I’m going to need a moment to gather myself… okay, let’s try the ginger carrot(cold), gazpacho(cold), white bean Italian and leek and potato(cold). All delicious. Damn, looks like you’ll have to surprise me! And surprise me she did! She accidentally gave me cold asparagus soup which as you can imagine didn’t fluster me one bit when I pulled out my bread and soup on the highline for a bit of a picnic. She must’ve taken my «suprise me!» tactics a step further. Good news is. The bread is included — and the sourdough is a fluffy delight! One star off for the price — I paid 6 and change for a small cup of soup. Let’s be real. I could eat cauldrons full of soup.

I wish Hale and Hearty offered some kind of local business discount, because at the rate my coworkers and I are snapping up soups and salads from this place I think we’ve put a few of their kids through college. Offering freshly made soups, salads, and sandwiches, Hale and Hearty is an ideal place to pick up lunch. Fresh ingredients are key here and their food is well made and tasty(they’ll let you sample all the soups if you’re indecisive too). They have at least a dozen different soups and sandwiches daily, and you can choose between creating your own salad or pick up a pre-made one. Custom made salads have a base charge(3.99 for a small, 4.99 for large), you get 4 basic ingredients for free and everything else is available for an additional charge. If you’re a regular, make sure you get those soup and salad cards stamped, you’ll have a free one before you know it! It definitely gets crowded between noon and 2pm, but the staff is pretty adept at keeping the lines moving. The tables get crowded and pretty messy, so I don’t suggest eating there.

More Upper Westside mediocrity. The one plus is it’s somewhat reasonable considering the area. The soups were contently salty and I couldn’t find too many mushrooms in mushroom tortellini nor was any crab to be found in crab bisque. The sandwiches fared slightly better. No issues with black forest ham, standard deli fare, which is better than mozzarella and tomato sandwich which suffered from very hard bread and unusually cold tomatoes. Not hard on the wallet, but not really good either.
