The food was great! They allow dogs outside! The service was unbelievably bad. We spent 160 on food plus beers to be treated like dog poop. Never going back or recommending either the brewery or the eatery.

The beer is great, but the bar is on a different Unilocal page. The food here is sub-par. Don’t come here for the food, especially if you are not into red meat. There is no fish or chicken on the menu, and the veggie items are beyond disappointing. Tempura peppers are a greasy mess, no tempura batter. Tator tots and fries are lukewarm and boring. Salad is ok. Self serve at restaurant service prices. Do not eat here, but have fun at the bar!

This place is great, it’s right next to mammoth brewery. We brought our 3 dogs and sat outside. Enjoyed the Philly cheese steak sandwich and the meat was mouthwateringly tender. Had it in combination with the seasonal flight of beer.

The food was good. Not your typical food. Strange arrangement. We sat upstairs ordered food and beer and then there’s was one else upstairs besides this guy named Adam. I waved my hand. And then my dad waved his hand. And he completely ignored us. Then I was hey, do you work here can you help us out? We need some more cheese for our fries and then he’s like no do that you need to ask a waiter and continued on his laptop in the corner. Which is ridiculous. I’ve worked at restaurants before and if no one can help, one should go get someone to help. Adam was simply either playing video games on his laptop or watching his snowboarding footage. Not sure but very rude. He’s basically getting payed to sit on his ass and be on his laptop? Ridiculous.

The EATery, located inside the Mammoth Brewing Company, leaves a lot to be desired. Layout is poor, with a «laidback» find a comunion style table and share with random strangers feel, which, in theory would have worked out great, as it could produce new friends, gret stories, and a very«americana» vibe. HOWEVER. in practice, this produces none of the above. Why? WELL! Seating is first come first serve, but that’s JUST to find seating, if you want to order food, well you’ll have to head BACK downstairs, potentially putting your table at risk to be stolen by other vulture– I mean, diners, looking for a seat for their party as well. So after you find a table, that’s big enough for your party, which in of itself is a perilous adventure, as you want to leave 1 – 3 people guarding your table, the rest head downstairs to order from the hipster-oriented menu fare. ½ pound grass fed organic bison burger will run you $ 15, and add on another $ 12 if you want a small dab of foie gras with that. That’s $ 27 for a burger. hahahahah! You could opt for the philly cheesesteak, which is passable at $ 12 and gives you skirt steak in a french roll. That’s a little better bang for your buck. OR! you could order the«Pasta, Please» ha-ha-ha! get it? get it? for $ 18 which is their braised-beef with arugala, mushroom and parppadelle pasta in a jalepeno-cream sauce with 2 thin sticks of garlic bread. All of which is A-OK. The burger was a burger, the cheeseteak was a cheeseteak, and the pasta was spicy and full of carbs(probably best bang for your buck in terms of carbo-loading). But honestly, the layout design is so poor I almost don’t want to come back for the food. There’s a line to order food, then you take your number upstairs where 1 – 2 friends are furiously defending your table from other tired, cranky snowboarders and skiers. Or you might face the entitled family members, with whiny, crying 2 year olds in tow, who think ABSOLUTELYCRAZY that wifi isn’t included.(HAHAHAHAENTITLEDMUCH?) Those same family members and moms who passively glare at your group, for taking up «their» space on the cummunity table, whispering to each other wondering why your group can’t «watch their language, can’t they see we have kids?» YESWESEEYOUHAVEKIDS. Best gastro pub food I’ve had in a LONG time, absolutely incredible. Standards with just the right kinda twists applied. Staff is awesome. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is the confusion around how to order, it’s a bit clunky and could be made more obvious.

I had much higher expectations of this place then what we experienced recently — especially with the high Unilocal reviews — must be local friends supporting the local establishments. The menu was meager, strange and short on availability. It was like they couldn’t figure out what to make or what to focus on — it was a mix of random dishes. Their prices were also on the high side(even for Mammoth). The service was a joke — you had to order at a order desk for food and then go order your beer separately at the bar — seriously?! The order lady was no help whatsoever in helping to decide what to order from the funky menu above her head. It took a long time to get our food(over 20 mins and the place was rather empty). The server also forgot things, like napkins. I was looking forward to trying the Philly Steak sandwich which seems to be the most«normal» dish, but they were out(???) I did not really like any of the other dishes, but I went with the Bison Burger(I am NOT a picky eater). My two friends ordered the Bison Burger, Crispy pork belly Reuben and Tator Tots. The only thing that we all liked was the Tator Tots. The Bison Burger was just so, so — small and very plain with few ingredients. The Crispy pork belly reuben tasted okay, but it was very small and not what we expected. ALL the dishes were way over priced in all of our opinions. Re the beer, I tasted two and only one was just so, so. In the past I had their Wheat(Hefeweizen) beer, which was good, but they discontinued it a while ago. Needless to say, we all had no reason to ever come back to this place. To bad.

The eatery is actually located inside the mammoth Brewery. While the inside is so much fun and gives off a great atmosphere, the food this establishment services was pretty bad in my opinion. I thought with a big line and food selling out, ordering a bison burger would turn up to be a delicious meal. I asked the cashier the sizing for the burger. She said its big, but that was a bold face lie! Worth noting as well, OVERPRICEDFORNOREASON! Food: I was with a group of 7 guys and we will ordered the same burger. Everyone agreed that the taste and size was subpar. First, the bison meat was dominated by a huge brioche. So for most of your meal, your eating large bites of bread. The meat itself did not have great seasoning or flavor. Overall, the burger just had so many flaws! I actually had a couple friends decide not to finish the meal. The burger is honestly a 2 out of 5 stars, but they had decent tater tots that saved this eating establishment. I’m glad to see a separate Unilocal page for this food spot in the mammoth brewery. I would have hated to give the brewery a bad review. 3 out of 5 is the best I could give the Eatery. I don’t know if I would try it again. Hope my review helped your decision

I’m sure I’ll be making my way back to Mammoth sometime soon; and when I do, I’ll give The Eatery another shot. I don’t know, maybe it was what I ordered: the Hopped House Made Potato Tots and the Shrimp Po Boy. Eatery’s tots, for example, something of a deep fried mash paired with an onion dip and a spicy ketchup dip, just weren’t what I’d hoped for. Believe me, I wanted them to be, really! And the Shrimp Po Boy – toted as «jumbo buttermilk fried shrimp with tomato, lettuce, and spicy remoulade on a French baguette” – sounded simply scrumptious! But it wasn’t. It was dry, hard to eat. The thing is, though, that as we sat waiting for our food, taking in Mammoth’s beautifully scenic outdoors, we watched others’ orders travel by, and everything looks so good! We wanted to taste a little of everything! And this is my point: I need to give The Eatery another try, order something other than the Shrimp Po Boy and the Tots next time, check out first what other guests have decided upon. …and then update.

Part of Mammoth brewery! Lots of space and a really cool place to hang out with a gorgeous view of the mountains. Food was really good for a brewery! You won’t be disappointed by the beers either. Check it out!

What an awesome place to grab a few beers and some dinner. Food portions are a bit small and look more like something that should come with a 3 or 4 course meal. But none the less, the food is pretty good with a great twist. Only reason why I did not give a 5 star is because my buddy and I ordered the same thing, pasta, and he got a plate full of pasta with lots of meat chunks while I got a substantially smaller portion with no meat and burnt bread sticks. Did not want to complain or ask for a fix.

You know what I love more than vegetables, bacon, and salt in general? Not a lot. Eat the Caesar salad and eat the tots. Eat the wings and definitely eat the shishito peppers. Oh, and don’t forget the short ribs. The food is delicious if you pay the premium for it. It’s all so dank.

Solid luxury pub food. A funny little system — pay at the counter, take a number, they hunt you down and deliver, inside in the winter, in an outdoor pen summertime. The servers were prompt and friendly. The view is stunning, epic. Well, everyplace in Mammoth Lakes has a view, but being outside with 360 degrees of mountains is something. Beer is in a different line, so the brewery thing looks more like co-location. But it’s among the better breweries in California, a few of their beers are classics. Between that and the deck and the nostalgia rock music, it takes you back. The Irish Caesar Salad was so good we came back three times and that’s all we had! Perfect dressing, well made croutons, a mix-up of different hearty greens instead of romaine, and bacon so smokey and chewy it was almost like jerky. The half size is almost a meal and the full size can easily feed two. Here’s a tip. Pay an extra $ 9 and they’ll add a heaping of delicious skirt steak, that turns it into a complete meal for two.

Classic brew pub with laid back atmosphere and phenomenal food! I feel like some rockstar chef wanted to come live on the mountain & chose Mammoth. Great schwag & very cool staff. I could easily be in the hottest new brew pub in San Diego! P. S. Order the Zepolli — the Chocolate Porter dipping sauce is to die for! P. P. S. Very unique. Both the entrees and the dining establishment. Housed in the brand spankin’ new Mammoth Brewing Co establishment, Bleu Handcrafted Foods set up this awesome gastropub-esque pairing to accompany the epicness of the Brewery. The ordering line can get a little long during peak times, but th food is brought quickly. The menu is quite a challenge to read(Mgmt: please make it bigger!) due to the small font, but there’s a good balance of eats on the menu. It’s not quite like a regular restaurant– most of the items are more like snacks, appetizers, or very light meals, so getting a couple items or sharing some with a friend is a good way to go. I got the Braised BBQ beef sandwich. It appears large, but wasn’t as filling as I hoped. There wasn’t any/much BBQ sauce, but the meat was very tender and it was a nice combo of flavors with the Blue cheese on it. Unfortunately, the meat juice soaked into the bread and it got soggy very quickly, allowing it to fall apart messily in my hands. The flavor though, was top notch! I suspect there isn’t as much seating as there ideally should be, but it’s a great start. I can’t wait to see how this things grows! 4.5 stars for today, but you KNOW I’ll be back for more at my favorite brewery. Gimme another primo entrée and you’ll get that 5th star :)
