Great service. Very helpful. Convenient location in the village. Breakfast is limited in items available but makes up for this in the quality of unique items. We shared an order of the macadamia coconut pancakes. One order consists of 2 very large pancakes. They were delicious. And I don’t like pancakes! They were light and fluffy and had just the right amount of sweetness. No syrup needed. We also had the breakfast sandwich and eggs with sausage. Sausage was incredibly delicious. The lunch and dinner menus look wonderful, we can’t wait to try those.

Other stuff looked good but I wasn’t impressed by the crab cakes. It ended up being tiny crab cakes on a big salad covered with a strong vinegarette so it was hard to even taste the crab cakes. The beer and my wife’s mashed potatoes were good though.

Let me start by saying I am Shocked to see all the positive reviews… The experience that my family and I had this evening was nothing short of terrible(with a little bit of a save from the waitress). It started with a hostess who obviously did not want to be there and did not offer to even put our name on a wait list… After convincing her to put our name on the 20 minute wait list, we sat and played with our kids for a table to be ready. Meanwhile, she stayed at her stand and didn’t check the multiple dining rooms to see if any tables cleared. Low and behold, there were several tables open that another staff member had to ‘make her aware of’… At which point we were sat. Upon sitting, the waitress, as mentioned above, was very nice and at least made the experience okay… If the FOODWASNOTSOBAD!!! My kids got the Mac and cheese and it tasted like noodles with butter and flour… Missing the cheese part! The main courses we selected were the bbq ribs with ‘seasonal veggies’ and mashed potatoes as well as the recommended pork chop. The ribs were easily over cooked with the masking of bbq sauce trying to cover it up. The pork chop was very well done and took a shaking of the table to cut through. On both dishes the veggies turned out to be wilted broccolini and gummy mashed potatoes. It was almost like both dishes were pre-made and were sitting under a heat lamp and then thrown into an oven to get it hit again to bring to the table. The best part of the dinner was the bottle of wine that didn’t come from the kitchen. Based on our experience, we would definitely not recommend to anyone or ever return. Hopefully the owners can see this review and make some positive changes… such as making dishes to order and not simply pre-firing and the putting in an oven to re-heat

Toomey’s is always one my top choices for dining when I visit Mammoth. I always order the filet mignon and buffalo meat loaf. Been coming for years and they have not once let me down. The filet mignon is a 10oz and is super tender. Yummmmm. It is served with mashed potatoes and broccoli. They will substitute the sides if needed. The meat loaf is absolutely delish! They opened a sports themed dining area to the left of the original location. The service here is always welcoming and pleasant. They have a small bar and serve only wine and beer with local brews on tap. I always come here for dinner but have not tried their breakfast. Reviews look promising and will definitely make a breakfast and dinner stop the next time I’m in town.

Last year, I came here and the host was really cool and welcome my friends and I like he knew us for a long time. He even chatted with us and made us feel like home. Yesterday, my friend and I came again and the host/waiter look liked he didn’t enjoy his job. Not only that, I ordered the seafood jambalaya and it gave me food poisoning. Puked a couple hours later and just stayed in our hotel the rest of the night. Definitely not going back there.

Excellent service and the smoked trout on a bagel was a bit different from the lox I’m used to but still pretty good. The Coconut pancakes are a must and what initially brought us here — besides breakfast before our day on the mountain. Toomey’s is a must try! Possibility in returning to try the fish tacos or lobster tacitos that are also highly spoken of here.

Friendly servers, and really good meatloaf, good fish and chips, but burgers were just OK. A tad pricey. Kids didn’t care for the fruit(kind of like a home made fruit cocktail vs fresh cut)

This place was pretty good! We ordered: COCONUTPANCAKES: so so so good! The pancakes with the mascarpone cheese was heavenly… Like I was eating coconut cake. Didn’t have to add additional syrup. REGULARPANCAKE: got these for the kids. They loved it. The pancakes were huge! BREAKFASTBURRITO: this was good. Absolutely loved the homemade salsa it came with. Coffee was great. Our server, Sophia, was great! Will definitely be back!

Seafood Jambalaya, was really good! I didn’t have high expectations since it’s Mammoth but i think they transplanted their chef from Louisiana. Lol

Huge organic salad was so fresh. Pork rack was moist and the mash potatoes flavorful with cranberry sauce. All tasted great.

This review is for the service, specifically the service from the bar tender. I asked what was on tap and the server was so rude with me. I then asked if I could have a chilled mug after seeing another customer have one and he rudely told me «Really bro. It’s that important? I have to walk all the way to the back to get you one of those. Is it really that important for you to have a frosty mug?» I then asked to see his manager and he said he was the manager. I swallowed my pride and let it go. Anyone in the area wanting real service should not go here. The«manager» of this place doesn’t value good service and doesn’t treat his customers right. Go to chart house.

Great service, good beer selection, yummy food, good prices. And not as hoighty toighty as 53 across the street thus making this a good go-to after a day on the mountains.

Let me tell you that Toomeys is the best restaurant on the mountain. I’ve only been there twice for breakfast and dinner and both meals were stupendous. First of, for dinner, I order the pork rack chop which was fantastic. I couldn’t think of a single problem with it. It had perfect texture, it was beautifully cooked, it was very tasty and flavorful, and the berry sauce that went with it added a nice sweetness and was amazing. For breakfast I order the traditional breakfast with eggs over medium. I loved the eggs. They were superb and mouth watering. They were fantastic eggs and I think they are the best eggs in ever tried. I for sure recommend Toomeys. If you ever are in Mammoth you better come to Tommeys or you’re missing out on a great meal.

Service: Fantastic service. Fun atmosphere. You can tell the staff gets along well when they all work together to make the customer happy and sing Michael Jackson songs while boogying from one place to another. Food: We had the filet minion which comes with potatoes and seasonal veggies and oh my word! Cooked to perfection. Melt in your mouth filet. Outstanding flavors all around. We also were dangerous and tried some buffalo meatloaf which had capers on it and the usual sides. Much to my surprise– also great. Wife was afraid it would be gamey… It wasn’t. Price: This is where I deduct 1 star. This place is pricy for the atmosphere it provides. Those two plates game to $ 60 but the sports bar meets deli décor didn’t warrant the food being sold. Going for those types of dishes anyone would expect a classy joint. We actually thought we were in the wrong place when we first walked in. But hey– this is my opinion and that is all. Maybe you want to eat filet minion at a deli. Anyway– I recommend trying this place if you are in town. You won’t be disappointed.

This place is a little gem. Super friendly staff and really good food with generous portions. We ordered a salmon salad which was served with a HUGE piece of salmon — very tasty. We also ordered kids fish and chips a side salad and a burger which was huge and very good. We will definitely be back next time we visit.

This is a five star review, I swear, but hear me out. After a long day of mountain biking, I wanted to try a new restaurant because I was starving. I got the chicken wings. When I got home, I busted open the box for my delicious meal, and I was horrified at what I saw. I love animals, but I am not a vegetarian or PETA or anything… but what I saw in that box is going to give me nightmares. They were *literally* chicken wings. I picked one up, examined it and was in complete disbelief. It was three pieces of meat and bone connected at joints. I counted, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 pieces… the wings of three chickens! As I destroyed the chicken like a coyote, I could hear the clucking of chickens in my head as they collectively shouted HELPME! HELPME! and flapped their little wings to get away. I had to say a prayer for the chickens so I won’t have nightmares of chickens being slaughtered. I finished the chicken of course, but with much guilt. I think Chef Toomey is renowned if I remember correctly, so this presentation was probably a culinary artisan thing. The chicken was good(I say this while still seeing cute chicken faces in my head) and the red sweet/sour/spicy sauce was excellent as was the homemade ranch dressing. There are also big crumbles of blue cheese which makes everything better. The price for the chicken wings was Mammoth reasonable(meaning a little more than would pay outside Mammoth), especially since they were so big(probably equivalent to 10 – 12 of the chicken wings that don’t look like wings). The rest of the food looked pricier but it is probably excellent. I ordered to go and service was prompt. Toomey’s doesn’t have a great curb appeal, but once you go in, you see a really nice, quaint patio with seating. The problem is that you can’t see the patio from the road, and the window that faces the street makes the place look like a deli, which is why I never stopped by previously. It is a regular restaurant, and the food is very good. I will definitely be back, but I will get something other than the chicken wings… not because they weren’t good… but because it was too real for me to handle!

MANCANTHATCHEFTOOMEYGETDOWN! We had lunch today and couldn’t stop complimenting the food. Everything was delicious! Our server Brandon was also very attentive and nice and he suggested all the great picks. World famous cheeseburger was extremely tasty! The angus beef was cooked medium, juicy and a good size. We got the home made BBQ sauce on the side it was perfect. The bun was quite impressive, it had specks of herb or poppyseed? It was one of a kind! Fish and chips were also a big hit. Beer battered and it also had some herb(maybe dill?) inside the crispy batter! Soo good! FRIESFROMHELL– in a good way! These crispy, addicting french fries were amazing. So dang crunchy and abundant in portion. Chicken tortilla casserole was big enough to share. It tasted home cooked and was moist and cheesy with chunks of chicken in each bite. This came with a fresh salad with a tangy balsamic vinegar dressing and had cucumbers and tomatoes. Yummy! We will now make Toomeys a regular stop when we visit Mammoth :)
