We have been skiing at whiteface for three years and every year a return trip to this place is a must. Had a nice Caesar Salad and soup for starters but the big draw was the pizza. My oldest son, a pizza fan, thought it was the best pizza he has ever had. The place was warm, food and drink was excellent and reasonably priced. Can’t beat it

Most atrocious meal I have ever had. Rolls had chewy, overly microwaved crusts. Salad was terrible, just a scattering of limpid iceberg lettuce, a small pile of grated carrot, one slice of palid tasteless tomato, despite this being the height of summer. Linguine with white clam sauce was flavorless, canned tough clams in overly salty broth with no herbs or spices. All in all, meal was a waste of money & virtually inedible. Never had their pizza, maybe that might be passable.

Really should be 3.5 stars. Visiting LP for a hockey tournament and needed a quick lunch. 8 adults and 8 teenagers the place is fairly small so we got lucky with tables. Besides being resort prices all of our food was fresh and tasty. The staff was friendly but not so accommodating with any special requests that were not very outlandish, I would suggest they be a little more flexible. I certainly would go back as I enjoyed my meal, which was lasagna Enjoy.

Great views. Friendly staff. Pizza and past were delicious. The side salad wasn’t much more then lettuce.

This cute restaurant has amazing pizza and an excellent view on the water. It’s a hidden gem where you get delicious Italian good brought to your table while enjoying a few drinks. We ordered the white Italian pizza and it was to die for. We ate bazzi’s pizza a few days earlier but this place has an advantage because you can sit down and enjoy your meal.

Great authentic Italian food and spectacular views overlooking Mirror Lake! It’s being added to our must do when we come back next year!

I asked how long for a table for 2 and the young lady told us «a while you can wait outside next online!» Very poor customer service.

Great view and nice staff so I hate to leave a negative review but $ 17 for tasteless, overcooked pasta with garlic and broccoli is pretty provocative.

Ordered some cheese for take out and sat in front of Mirror Lake. The taste of Ere’s cheese and sauce is good, but the flavor isn’t really that prominent or strong. It’s boring pizza. On top of that, the bread is too thin and chewy. The crust is lacking in size, and crunchy instead of a crispy soft bite. Appearance wise, the pizza looks like it wasn’t too fresh, and although it appeared greasy it wasn’t really at all, which I found strange. It’s not pizza I would buy more than once unless I had nowhere else to go. For the price of $ 3 per slice, there’s no way Ere’s pizza is worth it. It felt like $ 6 from my $ 12 of pizza was spent on the view of Placid. Don’t feed the ducks(I did anyways, sorry).

Fresh & flavorful dishes, soft rolls, huge portions. Better views of the lake from inside than patio seating. Timely service.

I am very surprised at the negative reviews of this place. I’ve made it to Lake Placid for weekend getaways a few times over the past years. For me going to Ere’s on a Sunday evening before driving home is becoming somewhat of a ritual. I’d sit at a table on the terrace, admire the serene and relaxing view of the peaceful Mirror Lake and dread the mandatory traffic on I-87 in the vicinity of Woodbury Commons no matter how late I am driving back. It looks like people mostly complain about the food which they find subpar. But Ere’s is a pizza place, not a gourmet chef driven restaurant. They advertise themselves as casual dining, which for me sets expectations fairly. For me chicken parm is a default choice when I don’t really know what I want for lunch or dinner. Thus chicken parm was what I ordered at Ere’s. It came with a salad and really delicious dinner rolls. The chicken parm itself was a nice piece of chicken breast, lean protein under a lot of cheese and with a lot of marinara sauce. It was certainly far better prepared and better tasting than any chicken parm sandwich I ever had for lunch in New York. Actually, I was just trying to think of whether I liked chicken parm better in any diner around, and I can’t think of such an occasion. The service at Ere’s is consistently friendly and efficient. For the time being I’ll continue with the ritual of concluding my Lake Placid weekend getaways with eating there on Sundays before driving home.

Stopped here on a rainy night in Lake Placid. We had nice patio seating, overlooking Mirror Lake. Friendly, quick service on the night we were there. I had a calzone that was very good. Delicious red sauce on the side for dipping. My kids ordered buffalo chicken sandwiches, which when they came were more like chicken strips on nice Italian-type sandwich rolls, but with no sauce. But when we asked, they brought some sauce right out. Also had garlic bread with cheese to start, which we gobbled right up. Verdict? I’d go again and recommend to others.

We had a nice patio seat overlooking the summer concert in the park. The pizza was great and the carbonara was reported to be vey good as well. A good Italian dinner was just what we needed this evening in a town where most of the restaurants seem to focus on barbeque, steaks and seafood.

Dinner for four. Good prices for this pretty expensive town. Subs were good and generous eggplant parm was huge and good. Good service. Would go there again.

I ate on the balcony overlooking mirror lake and the park. We saw that it had bad reviews before we went but I decided to give it a chance anyway– the view was just beautiful right along a park and the lake with flowers lining the side of the deck. Service was fast, accommodating to all my needs(I was itching for a pasta fix) — which happened to come with rolls that were steaming, fresh, hot, slightly crunchy, but chewy and soft on the inside and soft butter as well as a salad with house vinaigrette(my salad had lettuce, olives, tomatoes, and onion). Condiments already on the table, waters filled and refilled at perfect intervals, and topped off by a perfectly cooked tortellini with veggies in a pink sauce –couldn’t really ask for more. Except for maybe smaller portions because this was huge! Everyone else seemed to be ordering the pizza in this place, and it looked great, but I didn’t have a chance to try it out myself. On Tuesday nights in the summer, there’s live music set up in the park right next door and this balcony has the perfect view. I liked that they had an outdoor balcony but they also had a few booths along the lakeside in the back with big windows — so you could be inside and still have a wonderful view!

Well, I really wanted to like this place. The garlic cheese bread was undercooked and had just one huge splat of cheese in the middle, not evenly distributed. The 2 pasta dishes I had between my boyfriend and I were salty and just bad. Had to even flag down someone to get our check.

We had take out pizza, half with black olives and half with mushrooms. It was delicious, we especially liked the fact that it was cut in 16 slices(not 8 like the usual places). The pizza was ready in the time estimated and everyone liked it. The large pizza is large, so that four adults and two kids ate well. I was very pleased, as we have pizza every Friday :-)

Tried this place after my wife and I walked by and noticed the cook standing outside on the walk looking lonely. It was not on the main street, so we thought it might be a little secret gem that other tourists just didnt know about and it turned out that we were the only people in the place. Started off fine with the fried mozzarella that had very good tomatoe sauce on top. My wife had a glass of Pinot Griggio that had an old/flat taste to it. For our meal, we shared a medium pepperoni and sausage pizza, which was the size of a manhole cover. I couldnt imagine how big the large pizza would have been. The crust was alright, but the pizza was VERY greasy! We only ate 1 piece each, and that was sort of a struggle due to the amount of grease. Overall the experience was a disappointment and we learned to not let our guilty conscience lead our dining decisions in the future.

This place is ANYTHING but amazing. I’ve gotten pizza AND baked ziti here and I am 100% disappointed. It is located overlooking the lake, and even though it is hard to tell if it is run by the Italian mafia, the staff is friendly and *nothing but* quick. The house music is no where to be found which is not appropriate to the Italian mafia-atmosphere so claimed by Caroline I. Even if it is owned and run by actual, real live Italians, you really should know it’s not good. Ok, as of 6/2010, there are now two reviews on Unilocal for Eres Pizza, and it’s up to YOU to decide which one to believe. Here’s my case: 1) We ordered Baked Ziti. It was $ 16 for LUNCH! The sauce was bland. My own Ricotta + Canned Paul Newman’s Sauce combo + pasta then cover with shredded mozzarella recipe is tastier than this. And guess what? I’m too scared to see what they would charge for dinner pricing on this. The portion was so shockingly small that my 5 year old didn’t have enough to eat. 2) Salad — pure lettuce, white onion and 1(one, uno, single) slice of tomato drenched in honey mustard dressing. Drenched in this context means they poured out literally 1/3−½ of a salad dressing bottle that you’d buy in the grocery store onto the salad. It would be nice to have something else other than white onions to eat with your lettuce. How about two tomato wedges? Or croutons? Throw in an olive? Or cucumber? I’m not a rabbit that looks at a pile of lettuce and onions and just goes at it, but that’s me. Perhaps you’re the lettuce and onion in honey mustard *soup* type of guy or gal. 2) Menu said bread comes with it. NOBREADSERVED. When I asked for bread, the waiter went off to the back with a grunt, beeped up the microwave and came back with over-microwaved bread. Have you microwaved bread or a bagel for long? It becomes tough and chewy enough that it would make a good chew-toy for a dog. If that’s «real live Italian cooking», I don’t want any of it. And we were there at 12:30p, not at some odd, off-busy-hour time slot. 12:30p is LUNCH time. Why are you not ready for a lunch crowd(4 tables were seated in the entire place with us) and sticking me with microwave bread? 3) The other table next to us was being re-seated by us after complaining about the heat in the room. I know rent might be high in Lake Placid for retail space, but c’mon! Turn on the A/C! 4) The pizza had a lot of potential for thin-crust pizza. It was served hot, cut into 16 half-slices. But the cheese was THICK. Chewy. This point is hard to describe. It *was* good pizza. The crust was good. But everyone at the table commented how THICK and CHEWY the cheese was on the pizza. You know how Starburst is kind of chewy so you have to work at it? Not that extreme, but similar in chewy-properties. This is not a complete slam, but just stating an observation for you to decide — My wife’s jaws were borderline hurt /tired after 2 slices. 5) My Amex was rejected since they only take MC/Visa. Another sign they are too cheap here. C’mon, if you’re charging $ 16 for $ 0.16 worth of pasta and pre-made frozen microwave bread, you can afford the extra 2%($ 0.32 in the case of the Ziti dish!) Amex charges over MC/Visa for credit card transactions! 6) Regarding the lake view. It’s partial, not full view. And only 4 tables in a separate garden extension which is separated from the main room by a wall — so the main room is actually pretty dark, and has NO view at all of anything aquatic. Bonus point 7) They have a big sign that says they don’t sell pizza by the slice for take-out, only full expensive pies. C’mon! If we had great service, decent portions, good value, non-microwave bread(that’s just embarrassing IMHO),
