Way to dark, way to crowded… feels like a sports bar instead of a Mexican food restaurant. The food, is so so.

Very good service. Waitress is constantly coming by to check to help. Food was delicious. Parking in the back and it packed during certain hours. Clean and great decorations. Fish tank inside, music and tvs.

Food is good, but service is inconsistent. Sometimes we come and are well serviced. Other times we sit and sit, and have to find someone to take our orders. I think they often have a lot of waitresses and they get confused on who has which tables. Sometimes we’re waited on by a bevy of servers. It’s a very noisy place, and sometimes it’s best to sit in the bar to avoid screaming kids. Although last week there were kids in the bar! Is that legal? They should give adults a place to go if they don’t want to listen to crying.

El Patron is BYFAR the best Mexican food in the Hemet area period! They do a great job as well of having specials, promotions, live music, and creating a fun atmosphere! They pretty much have deals going on every single day so check it out ahead of time and see what kind of deals you can expect. We pretty much always sit in the bar, because they have killer happy hour deals! Drink specials, food specials and free food! You get a mini appetizer per drink when you sit in the bar during happy hour! Also all of the apps are 50% off and their wings are THEBOMB!!! Huge and tasty and they have bbq sauce(which is my fav) Looking for a great Sunday Brunch that won’t break the bank? This is best place around! Bottomless mimosas, mexican and american food and desserts for I think only around 15 – 16 its such a good deal! Come Hungry! lol So why not a 5 star rating? Some of their waitresses have a bad attitude, we have had about a 50⁄50 experience of wonderful and blah! If you work on tips, try and be happy it will reflect in your pocketbook for sure!

I came here on Mother’s Day with my family. The wait time was understandable considering it was Mother’s Day, after all. The ambience is better than other restaurants in town, but not something one remembers once you leave. The food tasted well and menu is a good size with a fair amount of variety. Now, the service is mediocre and almost nonexistent. The moment one gets seated by the host, you are given a possible name of your server. The host said something like, «I THINK your server will be ___.» This doesn’t give a good image since one is accustomed to being told who the server will be. Our drinks were taken by the server. A few minutes later, another server comes by and ask if our drinks have been taken and if we are ready to order. Usually restaurants place a napkin, coaster, or other item for the drinks and to aid as a visual for surrounding servers/backup servers to know the table in question has been seen. The wait time for food was ridiculous. An «apology» for the wait wasn’t given, just that the food was going to take another 5 – 10 minutes due to them being busy and backlogged. A great time to ask if anyone wants refills, order appetizers, etc,. but not acted on. We waited and were fine waiting. We understand things happen and patience is of the essence. However, the estimated time given to us by our server(2−3rd time appearing within 30 minute of being seated) was incorrect and we waited an extra 20 minutes. Not one person came back within those 30 minutes. It wasn’t until I spoke to the front and was told our server lied and gave us the wrong time. The food will ACTUALLYTAKE30 minutes before it gets served. There should be no reason for any business to beat around the bush, give the customer/client inaccurately info, and then give them the actual information once they are agitated, impatient, and upset. There must be clear contingencies in placed to avoid things like this from happening. In other words, one stops the snowball from gaining momentum – and certainly one doesn’t keep adding more snow to that ball. Plus, the employees should never point the finger at other colleagues. There was no team work in the establishment. From the lack of other servers in stepping in to the mob of servers running all over the place with no clear idea which table has been served, has been recently visited by another server(bombarded by servers after making them aware that our table hasn’t been check on even though servers kept walking past our table) with no clear idea who was serving what table. TIP: if you notice a table is spending more and more time on their phones to make time go by instead of adding to the atmosphere and enjoying the chips and salsa, drinks, then maybe it’s a clue that that table needs more attention in reeling them back in. Also, when one is asked if they would like anything else, it would be ideal if the server would keep to their word and remember what was asked for. A1 sauce was not brought until my bothers steak was already half eaten. My mom’s tortillas were not brought until the third time the same waiter visited, remembering the second time she came to our table, and then brought them once my mom was done with her mocajete. Keep in mind, the morajate is pretty big sized plate, giving her and/or the cooks more than enough time to bring them to our table. Overall, their quality off service, humbleness in being upfront and owning up to their lackluster performance is upsetting. One should not have to leave the restaurant thinking that their concerns were not important. Furthermore, saying sorry for the disservice as you leave the table in a hurry without making eye contact or making sure the customer heard you is disturbing. Manager(s) needs to hold their employees – and themselves– accountable and lead them to feel responsible to make the customers experience worth remembering. Smiles and apologies can only do so much. Positive actions go further.

Service has gone horrible that’s all I can say because there’s so much to mention still sitting here waiting for my check. Server never came and checked in on us. We waited 5 minutes to be offered drinks then my food came with a salad and it was never brought I had to ask for my salad after our food was brought then while eating my husband needed more tortillas and he sat there for 10 minutes and nobody came by finally a different server came by and he asked her to bring more tortillas. Then we sat here waiting for our check for over 15 minutes, and it wasn’t even busy at this time. Then a man came out that I hadn’t seen I am assuming he was a manager and he was asking each table how their food was finally came to our table and I said the service is horrible today then he just walked away like he didn’t care. We will never go back there again. By the way the crappy server was Kayla.

Food is great but the loud noise and drunkin laughter is to much when your looking for a place to enjoy a meal in a DINING area! The particion between the bar and dining area serves NO purpose. As far as the Food & Drinks… YUMMMMM

We have been coming here since day one of opening. No better place in town to eat in my opinion. Our new favorite meal is their burger, yes burger! Love the Mexican food, but if you want a really, really awesome burger, this is where it’s at. It is pretty big, so we always split it, and get full. Onion rings are delish! And, NOBODY makes at better margarita!

Food was disgusting we went for the Sunday brunch first of all the waitress was rude and it was so hot in there I asked her what type of champagne it was and she said they were not allowed to tell us and then about 10 mins later they said they ran out of it so we had to wait till one of the workers went to go buy more the food was horrible what kind of Mexican restaurant doesn’t serve flour tortillas? Well this place didn’t only corn and the corn tortillas had no flavor the blueberry pancakes had fake blueberries basically to make a long story short we will not be going back ever again!!!

While my service was a lot bette buy the food was pretty much the same and the the price was higher because they had a ham and turkey station plies added churros to the menu. My 1st experience was bad but tried again because the manager or owner Able seem genuinely concerned about how his associates take care of their customers when he responded to my post here on Unilocal! To be able to compare apples to apples I came for brunch again when I arrived I asked if Able was there there but didn’t ask to speak to him till the end as I wanted to see if him being there made a difference on service. The waitress that provided such horrible service the last visit was there when I got there but wasn’t wearing a badge I asked 5 other waitress what her name was but because she was no longer anywhere to be found no one seemed to know either. I asked for Able at the end but he was«to busy to talk» he told the waitress I asked to get him for me to vet me to find out what I wanted felt like a total blow off since I told her he emailed me telling me to ask for him the next time I was there which is what she said she told him I waited 23 mins before finding out he didn’t have 2 mins to speak with me!!! The tip I gave on my first visit was not go there at all. The tip I take away from second visit is all the waitresses are different although this one definitely earned her 25% tip I left her but the owner failed to earn my business! Staff is a clear reflection of leadership it was not that busy(the place was far from packed) and he couldn’t spare a moment of his time to speak to someone he told to ask for him. His response to my 1st review was to save face and very insincere. I was told the place to go is Los Vocarous ??? Haven’t been there but was told it’s a little more expensive but the experience, food, and customer service is worth every dollar. I am definitely willing to pay more to feel my business is appreciated. I see now why El Patrons staff provides such poor service just like the owner they don’t «have time» to provide quality service. I was told they are one of the very few businesses to have music and dancing there at night. It is clear they are not good for food so I may try them for fun since there is no cover if the service is poor for that too at least it won’t cost me to be treated poorly

Food is nasty, would not recommend when I came here a while back my carnitas came out Burnt so I asked to speak to a Manager turns out I spoke to the owner and he was so rude. He gave me a Business card to talk to the owner I called the number right away because the man I spoke to was so rude arguing with me so when I called the number his phone was ringing turns out he was the owner very unprofessional.

*I did not visit the cantina. I am just reviewing the restaurant * The restaurant area was nearly empty, yet it felt stuffy. And dark. I guess the AC has issues and the lights were dimmed to cool the place? The décor of the place is rather boring. There is one large projector and several tvs on. Everything is dark and somber. I don’t expect sombreros hanging from the wall, but nothing in the restaurant gave clue that this was a Mexican restaurant. Our salsa tasted like it came from a jar. It wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t good. Our food was OK. The meat in my taquitos tasted like it was frozen at one point. It was ok, but no flavor. Everything was bland. Boring. Our server was very nice. The cantina seemed popular. I’d probably come back for the drink specials, but not for the food. **edit to add** Dear Able, the restaurants AC definitely isn’t working. The waitress even mentioned it! And my review isn’t the only review that reflects that nor is my review the only one to comment on the sub-par food. Instead on snapping at a customer who said she would come back, you could get off your rump and fix it. And based on your rude response, I believe the other reviews about what a jerk you are. The only way you can get people into that joint is by selling cheap, watered margaritas. Even Gordon Ramsey couldn’t save that place. Lol

Tempted to make it five stars, but this is only the first visit and I am planning to return to verify consistency :) We have now found another Mexican restaurant to add to our rounds. Went today for their Sunday Buffet Brunch, so that is the subject of this review. This is a deal folks — $ 15/person for the buffet with unlimited Champagne/Mimosas! Here are the highlights: — Chile Rellenos. Delicious, light, great sauce with a small bite. Huge. — Ceviche. Lots of shrimp, good tasting fresh veggies & sauce. Did need salt. — Rice. Not clumpy and tasty. — Beans. Not clumpy and delicious. — Tostadas: make your own. Crispy shells. Fresh beef & chicken. Tons of toppings and two great salsas. — Flautas. Moist and tasty. — Chile Verde. Excellent. Moist with lots of flavor. — Chicken enchilada. Tasty, moist. — Salmon. Baked. Very light. Delicate. No fish taste/smell. Please note that the term: «moist» appears in several descriptions. This is because it is unusual for a buffet. Many times the food sits and dries out, but they did not allow this to happen. Everything was being refilled constantly. Also, please note that we could not possibly try everything. In addition to the above there were/was: Chilaquiles, Alfredo, Chicken Tenders(for the kidlets… and me…), sausage, salad bar, omelet station, and more — much more! Then the deserts… She wound up getting TWO of the stuffed waffles(have no idea where she put them!), we had French Toast, pancakes(also stuffed), flan, fresh fruit(really fresh!), and several Mexican cookies/pastries. It’s not a huge selection, but everything was excellent. And the big surprise — excellent, excellent service. Usually, when you are in a buffet format, you are seated and then somewhat ignored. Even in a good buffet, you still do not have a personal server who is completely looking out for you. This was not the case. If my receipt is correct, we were«watched over»(I don’t want to say«served») by Janira. She made sure that we had everything that we wanted all the time. At one point she went on a break(15 min or so): she made a point to tell us, she pointed out who would be looking out for us while she was gone, he came over and introduced himself(wish I could remember his name — he was also outstanding), he took care of us, and then she informed us when she returned from her break and made sure that everything was alright. She made sure that our glasses were always full. Even when we were paying the check, she was offering to keep them filled. Wow. As we were leaving, I was waiting at the front counter for«her», and talking to the hostess when a group of four adults and three kidlets(I’m guessing 3 – 5 years old) showed up. The kids were being quite rambunctious — as kids will be. The hostess told them that it would take her a few minutes to set up the table with high chairs, etc. You could see that the adults were a bit disappointed that they would not be seated right away… She could see that as well. So she told them to go ahead and start filling plates for the kids from the buffet while she set up the table! The kidlets started jumping up and down and big smiles returned to the faces of the adults! Having five grandchildren in that age group, this effort made me smile, big time. Wish I could remember the hostess’s name.(Unfortunately, memory is the third thing to go and I can’t remember the first two…) I initially had given this review four stars — as is stated in the first paragraph. After writing it and remembering all the details, I’m gonna go ahead and give it five. We will definitely be back, and I am looking forward to trying the dishes on their regular menu and check out the margarita’s — they have a great looking bar. For those of you inclined, lots of TV sets but, thankfully, not so loud that they overwhelm. The big problem though, as I sit here, six hours after the meal, still stuffed, is that I don’t want to get on the scale tomorrow morning — definitely need to take that three mile walk… :)

One of the male servers here is very attentive, quick, and courteous when serving. Problem is there isn’t one dedicated server for our group, just like 3 – 4 running around not having a clue who ordered what or who’s drink belonged to who. Overall I think the food was fairly overpriced. I got the steak quesadilla & it was $ 10. No sides other than sour cream and guacamole. For that price for a 4 piece quesadilla that wasn’t really stuffed is very overpriced. Taco Bell can come close to quality and size for only $ 3. I personally think the price is fine if they make it a combo with rice and beans. Overall I liked it. Not bad.
