Honestly, it has big portions but it has no flavor. My mom & I ordered two combo #2. We both got the same thing(chow mein, lemon chicken and sweet and sour pork with two egg rolls) our total was around 18 dollars. We had to ask if we could have sauce for our lemon chicken. The lady seemed like she didn’t want to give it to us, but eventually, she gave us two but it obviously wasn’t enough for the amount of chicken they had given both of us. My mom asked if we could have extra lemon sauce but the lady said it would be 25 cents extra for each sauce. Usually when we get Chinese food, they ask how sauces we want. My mom was frustrated and said she did not want to pay for it when other places give you as many as you need. The food taste like it has been sitting out for a couple of hours underneath a heat light. The chow mein is super dry and the sweet and sour pork is extremely dry as well. If you like food that has no flavor but offers a big portion then go here, but my recommendation is going to Tin Fu. They have even larger portions and everything is fresh. I will not be returning to this establishment ever again.

I used to come here every other week, it was a pricy spot but I love Chinese food so couldn’t complain. Then the unexpected happened, I got the shits, high fever and sweaty hot Nights! Thanks Rickshaw, NEVER again, I Repeat Never Again 1 star! Dirty pans and old food? No thanks…

Sad version of an amazing restaurant. If you’re ever on the Peninsula, try the Rickshaw in Foster City.

I was really disappointed with this place. Not to mention that they took an order from a gentleman in front of me, and while he was waiting for something they took mine. He had fried rice and chow-mien, I asked for steamed rice and chow-mien. They planned on just giving me the other guys order. I asked for fried rice again and they just dumped most of the fried rice from the box, and replaced it with white rice. The man and I just watched them, and he expressed he still wanted his order. I just took my food and paid. They didn’t have much of other options so I got what seemed best. I did like their lemon chicken, but that’s about it. Sadly, I’d rather go to panda express.

It’s a good option if you just wanna stuff your face for under 10 bucks. It’s probably best at the busiest times(around 12−2pm and 5−7pm, I’d guess) because food is probably fresher at those times. I consider getting food here every time I pass, but, only go like once a week. If you’re getting lemon chicken, make sure it has sauce on it.

Well it’s what you would expect from an Americanized point-and-pick Chinese food spot: shiny, MSG laden meats and noodles. Don’t get me wrong, I love me some glistening grub from time to time. Clearly. So no complaints in that department. Plus, at 7.75 for a two-item combo, it certainly is affordable; what’s more, they fill that to-go container up! Much appreciated. However, there’s an $ 8 minimum for card purchases. Oh you sneaky sums ‘o bishes. I see what you did there. It’s okay. Add an eggroll so you can meet the minimum. It’s a dollar. Orrrr… Just bring cash.

Fair price, I always order fried pork, no sauce with fried rice, teriyaki sauce on a side container. Ordering the sauce on the side helps control taste to desired levels.

Came in expecting a similar pricing as other Chinese takeout places(like Asia Delight) but realized their containers are larger and therefore price per item was higher. Smallest entrée is $ 4+, and two item combo is about $ 7. 12oz Soup was $ 1.75. They have one soup(sweet and sour at my visit) already made, and was pretty good.

This place is the worst I have ever seen and eaten at. Dirty and the food is awful.. I made a comment to the party I was with asking if they wanted to leave and go some place with fresh food because every thing looked over cooked and days old. The man who apparently owned the place started going off on his family in Chinese.(I speak Chinese) he was using racial slurs toward stupid American man should leave. We got our food and tried to eat it. The broccoli was so cold I couldn’t eat it. You can’t taste any seasonings other than the MSG. If you read this and eat there. You deserve to be sick.

After moving to Hayward, I wanted to look for a nearby Chinese Food to-go place. Seeing this place wasn’t so busy, I decided to try it out. Their food was OK, but the price for the food was NOT worth it! I ordered a rice place $ 7 for two items(very skimp portion), 1 small order of BBQ pork(salty pieces!) $ 4, and a small order of rice, $ 1.50. I can get a large order of rice at regular restaurants for $ 1.50! I would rather drive a few more miles to get better food for a better price.

The BBQ pork is amazing! The BBQ chicken is good too! My husband and I like to come here when we are feeling lazy and in need of a chinese food fix! It is walking distance from our house, so the convenience is unbeatable.(we usually drive, even when we could walk, who wants a cold dinner? lol… we are just lazy or crazy hungry). Anyways back to the food. We have tried every dish and have never been let down. I have a new favorite, chicken and potato curry. Who knew potatoes where served with chinese food? It has great flavor! Also my husband loves the lemon chicken and sweet and sour pork. On hand they have tasty fried rice and chow mein, however, if you order pork or chicken fried rice it is made fresh! :) yum! Overall we are fans of Rickshaw!

I was doing a jury duty stint at the Hayward Superior Court. Being that I’m not familiar with Hayward, I turned to Unilocal to help me find a restaurant within walking distance to and from the courthouse. I found Rickshaw Express. It was about a five minute walk south towards Jackson Street. From reading the reviews, I knew that this was going to be a restaurant which served Americanish Chinese fast food. When I walked ino the place, it was kind of old and depressing. The two women behind the counter did not have great personalities either… all business. I ordered the peppered fried pork, sweet and sour pork, and fried rice. They gave decent portions, but they did not cram the food the container like some other fast food Chinese places do. This is not a place with great atmosphere, good service, and authentic Chinese food; however, if you want to find a restaurant with decent Americanish Chinese fast food, this will fit the bill. I would go back here because the food tastes pretty good.
