This sandwich shop is conveniently located next to lees laundromat and I usually like to pop over if in hungry and waiting for my laundry to finish up. The establishment itself seems very nice– Farley clean. The staff is usually the same people I see on a daily basis. Polite and super fast service. The Vietnamese sandwiches kind of all taste the same to me, but they have a very wide range of options. Including basic ham and cheese American classics. The portions are pretty big and they don’t hold out on meat. They also have tons of Asian snacks which is a total plus!

Absolute garbage. There’s much better places in the area for a damn banh mi. Gross bread. Weird, meat that was mostly fat and one jalapeño that I cut in half but I’m not even going to eat this hot garbage. Vegetarian spring roll is mostly iceberg lettuce. Y’all should be ashamed to serve this trash.

The woman at the register is incredibly rude. I am shocked at how a place like Lee’s would allow this woman to continue working. Every single time I come in she gives me the dirtiest looks, she throws my credit card at me after she swipes it, she is impatient when she doesn’t hear my order, she tries to hurry me up when I explain to her what I want, the list goes on. I’ve probably never seen such bad customer service in my life. A shame because I love their sandwiches :(

Low quality meat, weird color, bread was hard and stale, pâté stinks. I had two bites of my sandwiches and throw it away along with both of the to go sandwiches, they were so bad. Disappointed and discussed. FDA ought to look into the sources of where those awful meat came from. I would not have any sandwiches there ever again. Café Sorriso in San Leandro has excellent Vietnamese sandwiches, that’s where I had my very first Vietnamese sandwiches and felt in love with it, good quality, fresh, delicious and great service!

ATTENTION!!! BEWARETHISPLACEIS A RIPOFF!! I didn’t even want to get it one star but I had to in order to make a review, first off the lady was rude as hell, all in a rush with no customers but me and my son, 2nd I started noticing the way too high prices but I thought oh it must be really good, we ordered the spring rolls and a bbq pork sandwich. The spring rolls were $ 5.50 and the sandwich & $ 4.99 I have never paid this much for these items else where in my life. So we get home and the bbq pork sandwich was more like fat with a little bit of meat and the spring rolls were filled with color less lettuce(almost white) and maybe two pieces of mint with a lot of white noodles, it was so nasty, my son only picked out the shrimp, $ 5.50 for two pieces of shrimp smh… NEVERAGAINWILL I COMEEVENCLOSETOTHISPLACE, they make Vietnam sandwich shops look bad

I just recently got into Lee’s sandwiches after trying the San Jose and Oakland location. I was hooked to the grilled chicken sandwich #4, and the iced coffee. I just found out about this location being near my school so I thought I would give it a try. The sandwich and drink came out pretty fast; the sandwich was good as usual, but the iced coffee had WAAAY too much ice! I couldn’t even stick my straw in the lid because the top was filled with a big block of ice. This meant that I got lesser coffee as well. Not sure if this was intended so that they can save some money or by accident. Anywho I was pretty disappointed in this location because of this, and also their packaged foods was very limited and did not seem fresh at all though the lady claimed it was.

This corner spot has the monopoly on pretty much everything, from laundry to $ 1 store, and even dining while you wait for your laundry. They have the banh mi sandwiches along with soups and snacks to enjoy. Downer is everything has since gone up as compared to going down to San Jose for more of a variety. Still a decent stop if your craving sandwiches or Vietnamese snacks in the area. They are a bit overpriced but it’s closer than going to Oakland or San Jose for these items. Basically your Asian convenient store for quick items and when your on the go.

I was shocked that I purchased small cakes there with different color mold!!! I quickly went back to tell them that. They did exchange the same item and accident dropped one on the counter top. They picked up the one on the counter top and tried to put together with the rest cakes and gave it to me. I told them I do not eat cake touching their counter top! I will not go there for food anymore. It tells me the food there is not clean at all!!!

Don’t do it… just don’t. The bread was stale. STALE! How long has your bread been sitting there? This location definitely slacks off. I won’t be back.

Lee’s is normally a great place to get Banh-Mi but this particular location is not the best. I’m giving it an extra star because they can’t mess up my regulars the Grilled Pork Banh Mi, Avocado Smoothie and Vietnamese Coffee. So I’ll come here once in a blue moon when I can’t be bothered to find an alternative and I don’t have time to go to a sit down Vietnamese Restaurant. That being said this location is by far the WORST Lee’s I’ve been to. It’s a shame that this location holds the name Lee’s because in Southern California the standard for Lee’s Sandwiches is much higher. They do a great disservice to the name. The tables are always messy and the floors aren’t any better, the food under the heat lamp is often left there far longer than it should be and the packaged food around the cashier is normally disappointing and lacking any kind of freshness. What you’re really paying for here is the name of the establishment which in this situation doesn’t mean much.

THISPLACEHASROACHES! LIVING, CRAWLINGROACHESONTHEWALLS! Came to get breakfast and as soon as I paid, my boyfriend saw a roach crawling up the counter behind the register. We waited a few seconds and I saw it myself! I told the woman to cancel my order and give me my money back and she asked why and I told her LOOKYOUHAVE A ROACHCRAWLINGONTHEWALL and pointed and she said OH. Then she said she didn’t know how to do a credit card return so I asked for cash and she said she couldn’t do that. She asked me again why I didn’t want my food and I said because this place is unsanitary(they have the bread on the counters) and she said again, that she didn’t know how to do a return so we asked her to call the manager. She did that and gave me cash back. DONTEATHERE!!! This place should be shut down! And she said they clean everything once a week. They should clean everything once a day!!! And it’s crazy that they still kept taking orders after we got our money back! Disgusting!!!

Lee’s sandwich is equivalent to fastfood style of Vietnamese sandwiches in my opinion. Sadly, this location is simply too OVERPRICED. Service was pretty bad as the lady working the counter was pretty rude and impatient. I ordered a grill pork banh mi and it cost 6 dollars. That is just simply expensive for banh mi when it can usually be bought for 2~3 dollars. The bread was hard and the filling was just alright. Don’t come unless you want to pay for an overpriced fast Vietnamese sandwich!

Three stars for their coffee and strictly the Viet coffee only! That’s all I care for and get from this branch because I don’t find their food fresh at all. I’ve gotten banh mis here on several occasions and they’ve all looked like a day old to me. One other time I ordered a milk tea and it tasted bad so I had to bring it back because I think the boba was spoiled ugh. But if you do need a nice alternative to Starbucks, which is across the street, for your caffeine fix go for the viet coffee here. To my liking, it’s a perfect ratio of coffee and milk and they don’t skimp on the milk at all. I know I’m probably waiting for the day to be served with bad milk but I’m crossing my fingers that that won’t happen. To conclude this, service is fast and it doesn’t seem like it gets busy at this location. It’s right next to a Lee’s dollar store and a Lee’s laundromat which I kindda find funny.

This place is really convenient. We usually go here while we’re waiting for our laundry to be done at the Lee’s laundromat right next door. This is your fast food, Vietnamese deli; sandwiches, tapioca/boba tea, pastry, and snacks. Their bread is crisp and crunchy and it compliments their sandwiches well. They also have some pre-packaged rice dishes either barbecue chicken or pork and/or fish cake with rice or vermicelli. I like to go here for a quick bite to eat; quick in and out. I really like that they have such a large menu and provides a lot of variety. They also sell chips and cookies, pastries, sodas and juices.

My wife raved of Lee’s the first time that she ate there. Today, not so much. Combo #1 Seems like there is a missing meat item in mine. This one I needed my own sauce on and needed to microwave it because the bread is old. Shrimp Roll There is so much mint in them. The wrap was very hard, seems like it was a couple of days old. Threw away most of it. French Crème Roll The sweet Crème in the roll was good. The bread, old and stale. On my combo #1, it looks like there is a straight hair that somehow made its way into the baking process. At least it wasn’t curly. I don’t think I’ll be going back. I’m starting to get pains in my stomach while typing this out.

I used to come here frequently, despite the quality of the food, because I couldn’t find any Vietnamese fast food nearby. However, today, I went to Lee’s and bought a few items. The cashier scan a Lee’s Pork Sausage and it shows $ 7.50, however, on all the sausages, they’re listed as $ 6.99/each. I told the cashier she should sell at the price listed, because it’s the business’s mistake for listing the price. She says«No, then the employees must pay the business the difference. That’s the way it is. You have to accept the fact. Do you still want it?» What? I can’t believe they’re doing business this way. This is like false advertisement. I will never return.

The people are rude but the food is good. If you can withstand the service then just take your food To go and it’s worth it. They have a lot of snacks lined up on the shelves and on the counter for you to pick out. The mango and avocado shakes are pretty good if you don’t mind the sweetness. The veggie sandwich also pretty good.
