Friendly staff, unique flavors. You can example anything before ordering. I had the affogato with mint stracciatela and it was fantastic. My family tried an assortment of other flavors and they were all pleased. What a great place to stop in for dessert!

I was at the Bella Luna wood fired pizza restaurant, and saw a recommendation for this place on the menu. After a great dinner at Bella Luna, I decided this place would be nice to try out, and walked over. I had to try 7 of the 12 gelato flavors before finally deciding to get pistachio, since all were so good. If I ever come back, I would definitely get this again, and maybe try out some of the pastries. Would definitely recommend!

Got some free scoops for eating at Bella Luna during Taste of Downtown and it was awesome! Bummed they were out of the brown butter cookie dough, but my pistachio and chocolate were INCREDIBLE. Can’t wait to check out more flavors next time I’m back in Harrisonburg!

On our way home from Harrisburg, PA and we stop in Harrisonburg, VA, and I’m so glad that we did. Bella Gelato & Pastries made our trip home so much more enjoyable. We had lunch at their sister restaurant Bella Luna Wood Fired Pizza, which is located right across the street, and is also a 5-star! We decided that pizza wasn’t enough and wanted to end our«vacation» with a bang. If a fresh brownie sundae topped with mint stracciatella gelato doesn’t do that for you, I’m not sure what will. This place is absolutely adorable and has a very 50’s vibe. The employees were kind and handled the long line of customers with poise. Bella Gelato offers sweet and savory pastries, so it would be a nice place to stop for a quick lunch date. Everything is fresh as they have employees baking in the open kitchen right behind the counter. My boyfriend got a caramel iced coffee and let me try it. It had a great balance of flavor and wasn’t overly sweet. If I wasn’t so full from the pizza, brownie, and gelato I would have gone for it. If I’m ever in Harrisonburg, VA again, I will definitely be stopping in for a nice treat. You should too!

I love gelato, hands down better than ice cream. It’s so smooth and tasty. I’m not sure who helped me at Bella’s but he let me taste each one because I was so indecisive(oops). All the ones I tried were really delicious but I went with the mint and the vanilla hazelnut. The mint had little chocolates in them. Such a cute place to stop by downtown! Plus prices are pretty decent. They also have a variety of baked goods.

My husband and I stopped in here for a quick treat. I sampled a few flavors(love this!) and settled on the hazelnut vanilla. Creamy, nutty and delicious. My husband chose a mint flavor which he also really enjoyed. I ordered a coffee with my gelato, and was a little disappointed in that. The flavor was sadly dull and average. The great gelato obviously made up for the sad coffee, and I plan to pop in here again soon! I might try an espresso drink next time.

Cool Spot in Hip Downtown Harrisonburg! This place is a Lookalota! Lots of College Students! Staff were very friendly and easy to speak with, even recommend Dinner across the Street at the Restaurant they also own! Inventive Flavors! I tasted them all and none were Fantastik, most were Good! My Bride enjoyed these more than I! Since new Flavors are rotated in I would check them out again! My prediction is that they continue to get better!

FINALLY! A place in Harisonburg that has really good fresh baked bread that doesn’t have delightful bits of currant or a base from some exotic grain. Nice, but sometimes good basic bread is all you want and hard to beat. And Harrisonburg has pretty much had good options for one and none for the other. This kind of progress is most welcome!

I visited the place while staying in the area for a morning espresso. It went from a morning espresso, to pastries, to second espresso and then gelato. Needless to say I ended up spending most of my morning there. The Espresso: Bold, strong and I think double shots are the standard. Very good if you’re into Italian roast. The Gelato: They’re made at location and most are delicious. The ginger-peach one was a very good one and one I’ve never seen anywhere else. The pastries: Nothing extra-special but plain good and fresh. Highly recommend the place and will definitely stop by whenever I’m in the area again.

Great gelato! We tried chocolate hazelnut and it was delicious. The presentation of the restaurant and the staff were great. It’s great that there is a parking lot really close and it’s also close to other restaurants, so skip dessert at the other places and come here for gelato.

We went to the soft opening. Not a fan of the coffee — just not my taste — but the gelato is swoon worthy. Since then we’ve been there about a half dozen times. We’ve tried the goat cheese croissants– 5 Yums for sure. I’m not a scone fan, but the croissants don’t come out until 10:00AM — they are made from scratch and are worth the wait — so we had scones recently and they were very tasty and tender. But those croissants… They are incredible. We’ve also tried the carrot cake muffins — perfect balance of spice, carrots, and a surprise cream cheese filling. Yum! What’s really great about the ambiance is the outdoor seating and people watching. We love their sister restaurant– Bella Luna — and eat there frequently.

Really lovely atmosphere. Decent latte(think it was slightly burned, but not ruined), and tasty sorbet flavors(I only tried those this time around). Very friendly service as well. Nice stop in, pleasant experience. Gluten free bakery options limited but available– the pastries look fabulous! Reason for the 3 stars based on the latte, I’m sure if I ordered gelato or a pastry that it would be 4 stars easily
