It’s IHOP. You pretty much know what you are getting beforehand. We went there for lunch. Order two sandwich plates. Took about 20 to 30 minutes which seems like a long time for what it was. Only part on the sandwich that may have had to be cooked was bacon. Waitress was attentive and not overly fake nice but also wasn’t rude. She said what needed to be asked and provided things like ketchup without asking. Again it’s IHOP and most people don’t get sandwiches.

Dawn is the best waitress ever. She’s a waffle slingin’, coffee pourin’, bad ass mofo. If you lose your cup of coffee, she will find you another.

Queen of IHOPs. Clean, pleasant staff, fast service, tasty food. Usually I wouldn’t give a diner type place 4 stars, but my pleased surprise at this location’s unusual excellence demands recognition.

I went to IHOP on a Sunday morning with my family for breakfast. It was extremely packed; we waited for about 30 minutes before being seated. Starving from the night before, we quickly placed our order. Our waiter, Kim, was quick to assist us, we given our drinks within minutes and our food arrived shortly after. I ordered the California Scramble(Creamy, fresh avocado slices, sweet, summery salsa. With A blend of rich cheeses, all of this served with fluffy scrambled eggs, with a side of hash browns and buttermilk pancakes.) for about ~13.00. I have tired eggs cooked in many different styles but I’ll have to admit this one of the best scrambled eggs I have ever had! IHOP is always my breakfasts go to spot with my family and it always will be!

This is by far one of the worst Ihop’s I have visited. The food quality and freshness is never there. The pancakes come out dry, hard and over cooked. The worst part is I’ve visited here twice and BOTH times our food was served cold. The scrambled eggs were dry and again too hard or over cooked. The service was ok, it wasn’t bad but it wasn’t great. My main issue is the food and the way it’s cooked and served. Another problem is the limited parking and small booth seating.

Open late and early!!! Good sunrise/sunset views. Ask to sit in a window. Cheap! Satisfying portions. Fast! Predictable! Healthy options! Great place for desserts! Avoid peak hours on weekend, you’ll never find parking and you’ll wait outside. Very accommodating with special requests. Would give 5 stars because the cost for what you get is great, but sometimes you can smell the bathrooms From the dining area. Only thing that would make IHOP better is serving beer!

Very clean environment on the inside, not sure what happened outside. It reeked of a strong stinky odor. It smelled like wet dog & rotten manure mixed with eggs. Blah! The parking is fairly small, it can get crowded in the morning. Lots of people parked on the street. I was able to walk in and quickly get seated. After a large crowd was there before me. Andra was a kind hostess. The interior is fresh and inviting, nothing like the ones in Houston and the Waffle House nearby has nothing on it! I was seated at a comfy, spaceless booth that was great for two. It had very little lighting and it was no where from the restroom & kitchen. My waitress, Darlene was the best! She was on time and always kept a smile on her face. That made me enjoy my trip here even more. The food, I ordered the breakfast plate with 3 pancakes, bacon and eggs. It was enough to fill me up! The pancakes were very fluffy and thick. The bacon was okay, I like peppered bacon personally and the eggs were plain. The cooks didn’t add any salt or pepper to flavor em’ up. So, yes it was pretty plain jane. Even with sprinkling salt and pepper on top. It just isn’t the same. The orange juice was pulpy, the way I like it with pulp. Only if it was a little more icey, though it still tasted good. The syrup bottle needs to wiped down! It was so sticky and gooey. I really couldn’t tell if it was clean or filthy I was touching. A hot towel will do the trick! When Darlene handed me it I almost wanted to deny it and ask for another bottle. But I didn’t. Anyways, paying for was meal was great. The cashier was fine & dandy I think she was more annoyed of the younger crowd of highschoolers paying with mommas credit card than I was. The crowd all asked for their receipts to be thrown away and the cashier even assumed I wanted my receipt dumped. Yeah fricken right… if you do the survey rate service and recieve a stack of famous pancakes. Lovely service and lovely food, it is open 24 hours! Only place that seems to open along the seawall early in the sweet morning!

By far the worst customer service I have experienced in a very long time. If negative stars were an option, I’d give them that. Took 15 minutes to just get a table, even though there was clearly a dozen tables in view– clean and ready to go. After we were finally sat down it took our server another 15 minutes to even approach our table after we watched her walk by at least 10 times taking care of only 1 other table. The manager was rude to me when i asked why everything was taking so long, and the hostess just cut me off and interrupted me when I was asking questions concerning a food allergy. I have worked in the service industry for 6 years now, so I’m not being unreasonable or outrageous or even just plain impatient. This place just straight up sucks. Save your money and go dumpter diving for food. You’ll probably have better luck and have more fun. Seriously… I successfully wrote this entire review before even getting a drink… awesome work guys. Keep in up. (Sarcasm incase it wasn’t transmitted correctly over this written review.)

This is gonna sound crazy but this is the best IHOP ever! I consider this one of the nicer restaurants on the island! Who can normally say that about an .IHOP?! I mean that’s just crazy! But this IHOP is IMPECCABLY clean, the service is BEYOND amazing, perfect beach view. I mean you can not go wrong here! We come here all the time because they really are great! And I’m not even an IHOP fan normally! I’ve never had bad service or a bad meal here!

It’s iHop – food is always great. My best friend and I went here for finals week and studied for dinner. Upon walking in, there was no one ready at the podium so we kind of just stood there awkwardly thinking, «uhhhh… hello? Should we leave? Walk back in like nothing happened?» The girl who was getting to seat us wiped her mouth and tucked her phone in and welcomed us. Oh well. Our server was a nice guy, though. Funny and friendly! Anyway, like I said, iHop food is always great. Nice atmosphere, too. I love this place.

Waking up early I was in the mood for some pancakes. I don’t eat them all the time so when I do it’s a real treat for me. It was 6:45AM so I took a short walk from the Resort to IHOP. I was greeted as soon as I walked in by Margaret. She seated me right away and ask if I wanted some coffee. I said yes please and also a large glass of milk and OJ. The coffee was a bit weak and not the bold taste I care for in the mornings but acceptable. The OJ was good and the milk was cold and fresh. Very cheerful place as everyone was in a great mood. I’m not sure how long of a shift they all had but all the ladies were in a very positive mood. It can’t help but rub off on you. Looking at the menu I decided on the«55 Plus 2 X 2 X 2» which is a great deal for us 55+ individuals. It comes with 2 Pancakes, 2 eggs, 2 strips of Bacon. But since I was cheating that morning I also asked for 2 sausage links as well. The pancakes were light, fluffy and as great as I had remembered them. I asked for scrambled eggs and they were not runny or over cooked. Just cooked perfect the way I like them, I asked for crisp bacon and well done sausage. The bacon was just right crisp(not burnt) and the sausage was as good as they get with good flavor. Great aditude, great food, good prices makes for a great start of the day. The only reason I gave this location 4 stars and not 5 was the coffee being a little weak and didn’t have Pure Maple Syrup. Yes, I recommend this IHOP location.

Good food,(It’s IHOP so you know it’s good.). Service and staff are decent to good, seating and comfort is good, Nice bathroom, and when you sit near the south part of the place, you get a nice view of the beach. Parking however is a mess. When it’s packed you can barely get a spot in their parking lot, so then you have to parking on the street next to the hotel that is next to the place. PS if you go at night you can see the volcano on the Rain forest café go off.

It’s an IHOP. It’s not a fancy establishment. Never has been, never will be. If you go in here thinking it will be in any way, turn around and go to Landry’s. We were craving breakfast for dinner. I love those nights when I was a kid and my parents would surprise us with pancakes for dinner. It was a great treat! Since neither of our parents live anywhere close to us we have to rely on IHOP for those purposes. We had a great waitress. It was like the diner experience where she called you«baby» and«honey» in her Southern accent. She was very sweet and very attentive to us, even after a bunch of tables sat after us. I ordered a breakfast sampler where I got to try a little bit of everything. The thing I love about IHOP is they carry turkey bacon. This girl cant eat pork for health reasons so I love when restaurants offer a turkey or chicken sausage/bacon option. I also love the five different syrup flavors. I tried them all. The strawberry and butter pecan are my favorites. Bottom line, it’s great for what it is and it’s centrally located on the Seawall and is usually less crowded than other restaurants during dinner time.

The food here is always great, and thats how I give out the stars, primarily based on food quality. All else comes after. It does take a while for the waiter/resses to get your order, even on a quiet day, so that’s the largest issue. Otherwise, they can even make the eggs without the yolk(which is healthier!) so that’s always nice for health nuts.

Apparently Texans know how to make Waffle House enjoyable. I am not normally a fan of IHOP. In fact, I have never had a good meal at any of the Louisiana locations. Since this location was next to our hotel, I was forced to go there. Imagine my surprise when we were greeted by several friendly employees who promptly seated us and took our order. I went with the make your own omelet with ham, tomato, peppers and onion. The omelet was perfectly cooked and contained fresh tasty ingredients. It was quite enjoyable. We ordered coffee and were brought a whole pot to the table. The coffee was fresh and surprisingly good. I have no idea why this location is so good compared to every other IHOP that I have been to, but I was impressed. Everyone we encountered was genuinely helpful and friendly. All IHOP employees need to come here to learn their system. If you find yourself in Galveston in need of breakfast, give this IHOP a try.
