We tried T-bones Sports bar for the first time with a few friends. We really liked it! Good food, service, portions and prices. We’ll be back!

No. Just no. This place does not reflect the great quality of seafood and food you can get in Galveston. The raw oysters were warm, the fish was over cooked, and the crab cake was pitiful. The shrimp and grits come served covered in cheese and with the veg of the day mixed in. Who added mixed veg to that dish? To top it all off, the bottle of wine came opened and with a broken cork. I don’t think I’ve ever ordered a bottle of wine that came opened already. Tourists may love this place, but stay away!

We were concerned on our first visit BUT were very happily surprised the atmosphere is great. Excellent, nice bar. Food was delicious. We definitely plan on returning.

Went on Sat., this past Memorial Day weekend. Should have guessed it wasn’t a good place by the lack of customers @ the early dinner hour. Pleasant inside, although we really wanted to sit outside & enjoy the view but the outside was grubby & uninviting & no shade… back inside. Ordered margaritas to start & they were TOO sweet… left a heartburn feeling in my throat. Next ordered seafood gumbo which was WAYTOOSALTY! Others in my party of 5 tasted it & said I needed to send it back, I didn’t, but dug out the seafood & just ate that. One of us ordered truffle fries… not available that day. I then ordered the Jack Johnson salad… I don’t get it. Overdrenched wilted salad w/nothing special to talk about. Very disappointing overall as there are good places to eat in Galveston… this just isn’t it.

Prime rib special was good. One of the only places I have ordered RARE and actually gotten RARE! Noise level was erratic… the music kept changing volume. Service was acceptable but not exceptional. Bought a bottle of white wine and it was just plunked down on the table. An ice bucket would have been good. Overall… ok…but not great.

Been here 4 times! Great food. But the servers need to have meetings and be prompt. First time I asked to be seated in sports pool table area. At night. I was only given a bar appetizer menu No night dinner menu. Sat at table 17 min no one. Then server came order 2 bar drinks and a tea.(9 min later) Got bar drinks before tea. Brought by bartender not server(she was a ghost). We had to flag down the server to order food. The server take long breaks out side at the smoke area! But do remember food is awesome! But servers don’t communicate they all don’t know what specials they are no longer doing: Bloody Mary bar, buffet etc or what is 86 on the menu or bar. No manager walking either. This place could be better! Re edit 2nd time. Ordered two George steaks rare. Only got one medium rare. They said never placed second!!! So now we have to share a meal. Now I’m really pissed!

So Unilocal managed to delete my review about here I see? That’s ok, I have it copied down on .doc so I can post it back up as fast and easy than you can say«owner bowed down and paid $ 300 a month to have bad reviews hidden or deleted». I’m going to get in trouble because of this won’t I? My kids and I stopped by since the outside looked appeasing and was on the way from I 45 to the Moody Gardens pack. You will notice that the exterior you’d swear was new and also plenty of parking drawn up on the plans for this restaurant. The interior as you walk in is pretty much eye pleasing since you are already in a bay water tourist type city you might be tickled to notice that you could almost imagine the interior is kind of like a set up of Gilligan’s Island mated with a fancy restaurant yearning for your mood senses. The large interior grass covering type décor is tempered with some good sturdy but well placed tables with table clothe. That’s a plus. It goes downhill from there if you are unlucky. About a 10 minute to get greeted by a server, another 15 or 20 to get your drink(from the bar and it was maybe 30% capacitated in the whole restaurant). No manager looking type figure walking around but pretty much you can read the inexperience of the crew here, it’s so obvious that it pretty much almost hurts. I had the ribeye, ordered it medium well(I know, that’s so wrong) but instead it comes out medium rare, not pink but medium rare. I did not want to make a fuss and get it up cooked since it has already been almost an hour to get everything situated and it was time to go «home». As Roger D said in his review in so many words… they seem confused about their identity hang out for a conglamorate of people. Don’t worry about the confusion of the interior, that can be fixed but the service is what is probably going to kill them. We will check back in a couple of months, I see this as an easy fix with just the right kind of training and a tweak in the food.

Partner and I have eaten lunch four times since they opened. Each time the food and servIce have been excellent. Not the cheapest but it leads in value. Linen tableclothes and extraordinary décor and vIew set pace for a very ambitious menu. We have tried an array of offerings from their chicken fried steak to the sophisticated seared sesame tuna. Everything is top notch. Even mundane offerings like chicken wings are above the norm. Try their asian wood grilled wings and you will be convinced this is a place that Galvestonions should be proud of. Do not take my word however. Try it yourself and you can flame me if I am wrong.
