This place is sh@$, got seated and no one ever came to the table so we got up and went to Willie G’s, way better service and for the price will never go back to Landrys.

Stopped in for lunch this past Saturday while at a cheer competition for my daughter. Landry’s NEVER disappoints. My daughter ordered the kids chicken strips and I had the crawfish étouffée. Can’t wait for my next Galveston trip

So yesterday was Valentine’s Day and my fiancé and I booked a reservation at 5, and drove from the galleria area to get there. We got sat at 5:45. The waiter didn’t come to us until 20 minutes later. And when she did we didn’t get a water for another 30 minutes. We asked for bread literally 4 times to different employees as well. Finally a young man brought us it when our food already came out. Our appetizers came quicker than our waters did. The server was crying the whole time when coming to the table. Worst valentines dinner ever!!! New update. Came here again and the service still sucks. I was giving them the benefit of the doubt and its mind blowing how horrible the service is and how long it takes to get your appetizer let alone your main dish. Awful don’t come here

Had an excellent dinner at Landry’s last evening. Food and staff were excellent! They had a couple of large parties going on and even with that, they were efficient and got everything right.

Went for dinner on a Tuesday around 5pm. It was pretty slow but I would assure you on a Friday or Saturday it’s packed and extremely busy. Wife had shrimp Fresca. I had ½ crawfish étouffée and ½ fried crawfish. Crawfish were good and came with dirty rice. Wife said her dinner was giid not great. She said the flavor was subtle and didn’t pop and wasn’t for the $ 25. Both dishes came with a salad. We gotn the honey vinegarette dressing and it was good. They also served french style bread with the salad. It’s landrys so expect every dish to average $ 20.

Very disappointed in the extremely slow service at this location. Our order was wrong and took 20 minutes to get main entrée. Food was good but little over priced.

Well let me start by saying we are huge Landry’s fans, We eat at all there restaurants and usually there food is very good. We decided to visit this location since we were in the area and it was valentines day and we hadn’t had sea food for a while. Obviously being valentines there was a short wait which was no problem. Once we were seated it took 15 minutes to take a drink order and the order was incorrect when it arrived. We finally placed our 1st order for the appetizer the shrimp étouffée on bread and we also placed both my daughters kids meals. They arrived after a considerable wait and to be honest the quality of the food was very poor it was cold and stale. By this time the main meals had been ordered and they too were very disappointing. For $ 100 tab I was very very disappointed and will not visit this location again. I would give service 2 – 3 stars and quality of food 2 stars. Im off to Salt grass for lunch now which is always good!

We loved it. It was not busy during lunch. I had all three kids. I got Parmesan chrome and crab risotto dish. Superb. My hubs got bacon wrapped shrimp and my mom got Mediterranean shrimp with noodle dish. They were all SO good. We also loved he calamari and bananas foster dessert. The kids liked their burgers, thin patties, real cheese and buttery buns. Everyone was happy:) service was great too.

Never again. Had the ribeye Valentine special. Steak too much fat, barely warm. Potatoes were not hot or the broccoli. What a waste of money, should have stayed at home and cooked our own.

Waited for 20 min for table and then 15 min for a server. Finally flagged down someone who said she would take care of us. Finally talked to the manager. Ended up getting the kids their meals and two apps. So many things wrong it’s hard to even rate this place. Giving it two stars for the server we flagged down and the oysters.

Food was good, service was good, up until I went to use my Landry’s Select club card. My rewards were up to $ 75. Michelle brought card back to me and said it only had $ 25 on it and that«it’s confusing to figure out points». First of all, I’m not stupid and no, my points are not hard to figure out, they literally break everything down for you on your statement. Got home and logged in and sure enough there is now $ 50 left of my rewards bc $ 25 was used up tonight. Also, I guess I’m too ugly to be in a relationship. She asked if we were paying separate, and literally looks right at me with pity in her eyes. I guess I’m stupid AND ugly! But my husband of 20 years was glad to pay! Even without my reward points! ;) Will never be back! The $ 50 left on card will just stay there. *was never offered bread, this was the first time ever that our waitstaff hasn’t offered bread *manager walks around almost brooding all evening, staring at tables and walking away. We are used to a manager that at least walks by and smiles or asks if everything is ok, not here. It was awkward.

went for a late lunch 2p – with my immediate family who came thru town to visit [galveston] landry’s is a nice place to eat… white linen napkins, nice view, quiet conversations… friendly-knowledgeable staff we had the following sweet tea — fresh and tasty small garlic bread –comes free– 5 pcs– small. its ok. but, ive had better salad bowl – several types of lettuce & all the fixins – homemade croutons – good variety of dressings [came w/entrees] bar trash appetizer —blackened shrimp & lump blue crab w/butter sauce $ 15 — about 5 – 6 medium shrimp — with ample crab — delish — pricey southern fried fish w/fries & onion strings — 3 decent sized filet’s – fresh and fried lightly $ 13.50 fried shrimp w/the same sides – 8 pieces of shrimp – large shrimp $ 15.50 shrimp fresca – parmesanencrusted shrimp, lump blue crab; crab orzo & fresh vegetables – REALLY good. 6 large shrimp – good portion of crab in the orzo but, not very much lump blue crab – pricey $ 19.50

The food was good here. The service awful. The hostess greeted me nicely and asked my table preference. She seated me and advised my server would be with me in a ‘few minutes’ I waited a bit(not sure how long) with no attention from the many employees that were moving about. The restaurant was half empty. I went back to the hostess and asked to see a manager. He was very nice and responsive and even comped my glass of wine. This was a nice gesture and I will try Landry’s again.

I have eaten at Landry’s before but this was my first time at the Galveston location. The location offers a nice view, especially if you sit outside. The food was definitely not something to write home about, though. The lobster bisque was creamy and flavorful. The oysters Rockefeller were also very tasty. I had the seafood gumbo which tasted burnt. The gumbo itself also did not look appetizing at all — it was like a swampy mess in my bowl. I also bit into a mussel that tasted really fishy — not fresh at all. I noticed some of the other shellfish pieces had some green stuff on them so after that I couldn’t eat any more of it. We also got the seafood stuffed jalapeño poppers but since I’m not a fan of dill I also didn’t care for them. There are many places in Galveston to get seafood and Landry’s is not one of them.

Yummo. Mahi was delicious. Fish and chips chewy and fair. Jumbo was not bad. Will return. It’s always safe and can count on tourist to entertain us.

Lobster bisque and cocktails for lunch were excellent. I’m docking them a point because the lunch menu is really weak. The whole menu is pricy dinner entrees. Landry’s is apparently upscale and charges that way — I didn’t know that until now. I had thought that Landry’s was the lower priced chain restaurant in the fertita empire.

The location and view are just perfect here — that is one positive. I found the food quality and quantity to be subpar, especially for the prices charged. The bread is spongy and absolutely tasteless. I have had better salad at Wendy’s. The oyster appetizer did taste pretty good but they were on the small side. The entrees were just nothing to write home about. The service was terribly slow. We ordered a Crème Brûlée and it took nearly 20 minutes to arrive. It took that long again to find our waitress to get our check. We thought about filing a missing person report. This is not great when you have a kid getting restless after a day at the water park. Pappas has much better seafood for the price and the Rain Forest across the street surprisingly has much better seafood as well and the kids love it. With the great location you don’t have to be all that good and you will still get all the business you can stand. We are Landry’s club members and generally like their branded restaurants but were disappointed with the namesake location.

I ordered the lobster and it was severely over salted/over seasoned and over cooked! Truly disappointing. Baked potatoe did not have enough butter, sour cream and toppings to enjoy the entire potatoe. Crab cake was really good as was the side salad & dressing.

Landry’s has a really great happy hour. The food is always consistent. We had stopped coming to this Landry’s for a while because the service was always so sketchy. HOWEVER it appears that was corrected at least at this visit. We had a great time, good cocktails very reasonably done during happy hour and consistently good food.

Insgesamt O.K.
