Late Friday night in search of cheesecake and coffee. After reading the awful reviews on this Denny’s we(us 2) went to IHOP; alas no cheesecake and the Rainforest Café had just closed. Bummed we decided to brave it going to Denny’s since we knew for sure they had cheesecake from other locations we’d been to. I was pleasantly surprised with how ‘not awful’ it actually was. Coffee and dessert out quickly, with pleasant service.

Good breakfast, fast to be seated, and fast service. Sad to see the low reviews because our family loved the ocean view up front, and the food !

Good breakfast. Came out hot and fresh. They made us fresh coffee. Our server was very friendly.

Worst denny’s I have ever been to and I have tried to like them. Went there on more than one occasion and was disappointed each time. food is cold and greasy

Denny’s is one of the more consistent chains out there and this location was just that. Decent diner food at a very good price, and you know what you can expect. This location was modern(in its classic look) and clean. The wait staff was friendly and eager to serve.

This denny’s sucks. The service isn’t the best, there is minimal parking space and it’s always full. I ordered half nachos for an appetizer and they brought them AFTER the food. I had to hand all the dirty plates to the waitress instead of her taking them.

We really liked this place! We had fresh banana vanilla milkshake, blueberry pancakes with fresh banana and a mud cake. All was very good and with great service at a really good price. We liked that the pancakes was a bit more salty than we have had at Denny’s before. Very satisfying!

Horrible welcoming. As soon as we walked in. The host was already complaining loudly how he couldn’t get a break. At least 2 minutes. I realize people get tired at their jobs. But that’s no way of welcoming guest.

They server’s are polite. Yet, this place is very very slow. I’m wondering if they are making the ingredients from scratch. It’s not that busy and 30 minutes for kids pancakes.

Service is so bad, it’s hilarious. My friend and I arrived around 3am on a Saturday night and it was mostly empty. There was no hostess, so we sat ourselves and found our own menus. We waited for 30 minutes, even after one waitress tried to call another one over, and then she complained that they all were so overwhelmed. We were still the only customers there. Eventually a different waitress took our orders, then we never saw or heard from her again after she bought the drinks. My hashbrowns came out before the pancakes, and long after finishing them, the pancakes still weren’t out. We were near the kitchen and could see and hear the waitresses and kitchen staff screaming profanities at each other, until a manager showed up and yelled at them to «shut the f— up, since people can hear them.» It was really funny. I can’t believe there was actually a manager on duty, but now I can. Damn this place needs help. I knew she wasn’t coming back, so I walked to the kitchen and asked the waitress to make my pancakes to go. She then started spouting off excuses about the grill not working, even though my hashbrowns came out fine. Maybe they’re cooked on different grills, I don’t know. She finally brought the pancakes with the check, which included a customer service survey number. I’m sure my friend will love that.

We are sitting here as we speak. We got here 34 minutes ago. Our order was taken 10 minutes ago. No one is here. No one. ETA: our food has been sitting under a heat lamp for 10 minutes. The night manager who also seems to be working tonight(lol working) brought it over finally.

If only I could give no stars… In an u crowded restaurant, it took 6 people crowded around a register to NOT give me a menu. The fact that I seated myself at the counter seemed to confuse the lad digging in his nose so I didn’t get a menu from him. One girl was too busy tallying tickets and the MANAGER walked out and looked at me like I was some sort of alien. AND I STILLGOTNOMENU. After about 10 minutes, I walked out and drove down the seawall to IHOP.

I don’t recall having a worse experience at ANY restaurant, ever. We waited about 18 minutes on a ten minute wait, even though there was clearly NOSHORTAGE of seating available for the seven of us. When we were finally seated, the waitress was immediately taking our order, but we waited about 40 minutes for our meals, before we had to leave to catch a flight(of which we kindly informed them prior to ordering). When the food finally arrived, the orders were all wrong. We were told, about seven times, that the kitchen was the issue. All the while, there was anywhere between 4 and 7 people just standing around(besides the hostess), doing nothing. The manager on duty did offer to correct the problems with the food order, and even took some off the bill, but it was all for nothing. While I’ll eventually give them another shot someday, they’ll need to either train the staff(all of them) in the art of performing as if they’re auditioning for a better position, or just make some personnel changes, perhaps starting with the manager, to someone who KNOWS how to run a restaurant. Better luck next time.

Honestly, the WORST Denny’s I’ve ever been to. I mean, I rarely go, and I don’t expect 5 star service, but there was NO service. They ran out of breakfast meat and only had like burgers the day we went? So weeeird. Our food was cold and greasy when it came. Never again!

Ate here on November 1 at about 0430 hours and had the worst experience at a Denny’s that I had ever had hands down — probably ever at any restaurant YUK. Granted seating was quick and staff was good and polite. My problem was the food taste along with 2 other peoples food in my party. I have no idea what the hell was wrong with the fryer that night that our food tasted like rotten something or other. This included my «Sampler Basket» of Chicken Strips, Onion Rings, and Cheese Sticks and other companies fried items(wasn’t awake enough to pay attention to their stuff nor remember what they had). They all tasted the same and I couldn’t even eat one of the Cheese Sticks and one of the Chicken Strips because the rest I had previously eaten had started my stomach turning. There was a very disgusting taste during eating them but I hadn’t eaten in my travels for about 13 hours so I was just tolerating it. My stomach couldn’t and it all came up plus some. I will never return to this restaurant and would suggest not bothering with this restaurant either if they are like this — if they can be different than any other Denny’s in the retail chain — something is incredibly wrong here. Avoid like plague. All food is prepaid prior to service… How do I know this? My wife complained about the cold sausage and burnt bacon and the server told me so. But don’t worry I can microwave some fresh bacon for you guys. Yes this really happened. Never be back again. I ordered coke and my wife ordered Dr pepper she could not tell the difference so she smells both drinks right in front of us. The staff is retarded. She did not right down wife’s order so she screwed it up twice in a row.

The hostess couldn’t understand we had 8 people in our party & tried to put us at a table with 6 seats. She then proceeded to get snippy with us for her mistake. Our waitress however was very good & very nice. The food was really good. This place could use a good cleaning though.

Not overly impressed w/this place. Our waitress seamed a little«spacey» and the overall experience just wasn’t as good as most Denny’s. The restaurant was fairly clean and the service was pretty fast, but the food just wasn’t that good. My scrambled eggs were burned on the bottom & most everybody’s «breads»(wether pancakes, French Toast or regular toast) was«chewy». There are other places on the Seawall, guess we’ll find another spot next time we are here.

We had a fine time here. Not amazing, not terrible… pretty much what you expect from Denny’s. Our waitress was super sweet, and although a little slow in the beginning, definitely took good care of us. We had the Cheesy Breakfast Sampler from the new Cheesy menu; it was good; plenty of food for a really good price(either $ 4.99 or $ 5.99; hubby and I can’t quite agree on the what it was lol). Hubby’s toast came out stale, but our waitress quickly took care of that after we let her know and brought out new, fresh toast. We came by during the morning and it seemed nice and bright, not dim at all; maybe it’s different at night? Again, it’s a Denny’s; it’s not gourmet and it’s not haute cuisine. What is is is decent, hot comfort food served in a diner type environment. If you expect more than that you will probably be disappointed.
