they have really good food and great service but i would really like for them to bring back the scampi rice.

Whether i go there for lunch or dinner, the crew always meets or exceeds my expectation. Sometimes i have a steak. Always cooked to perfection. Sometimes i’ll have one of their steak and salads; the greens are always crisp. The broccoli is always crunchy, the potatoes of any kind are always yummy. These folks are worth what you pay and the tip is always quite easy to be generous. They offer senior discounts!

Came for a short trip to Galveston for my wife’s birthday. Food was awesome! Ribeye and shrimp, blue cheese filet and brownie, cookie and ice cream dessert was awesome. Definitely good place to stop by if your craving some beef. Our server Jesse was training someone. He was awesome highly recommend.

This steakhouse caught a body, a attractive beautiful young lady gave my friend a erection, this place is unsanitary I witnessed a fly land on a customers meal and the customer ate the fork full of fly shit I am very disappointing of the service here as well.

Very good dinning experience. From the time I walked in the door the staff were very friendly & knowledgeable. The salmon was cooked just right & the side sweet potato was a perfect complement, asparagus grilled perfectly. The steak was cooked nicely, just as ordered, medium. Grilled shrimp melted in your mouth.

I’ve been here a few times before, many years ago, and it was ok, but, today, I think I might cream my shorts! Absolutely the best experience I’ve had any restaurant in a long time. My steak was perfectly seared, juicy and tender. My wife’s ribs fell off the bone and had just the right amount of sauce. Service was spectacular! Above all, the mixed drinks were masterfully concocted and to die for. Might I suggest the ginger peach lemonade? Yes I do believe I might!

I have been to other Saltgrass’ and they were better. Its not bad or anything but considering their on the seawall I expected better. Nothing jumped out at me and it felt like they were kind of coasting and with better places in the area, I am hard pressed to want to go back. Again nothing wrong with it, service was good, food decent.

Celebrated my mom’s 70th bday with family here a few weeks ago. Parking is very limited so you may have to park in the Seawall. App we chose was fried mushrooms. Really good. My brother, I and my dad had surf and turf. Brothers was medium rare with grilled shrimp, mine was medium with coconut shrimp and dad had medium well with fried. All steaks cooked as we asked. One sis had a burger she loved. Another had a salad and mom had a sirloin. Good didn’t take long-normal amount of time to cook the orders. All food items were correct. Server was good. Checked in us enough. It was your normal trip to Salt Grass. Everything tastes as expected.

Nice place. Good reputation. Good service. Good food. The local draft brew, 12 oz for $ 5.00 is ridiculous, however. But someone has to pay for the bay front real estate. I had the Texas Cheese Steak. Very tasty. Not a huge menu, but several selections in each category, and lots of appetizers.

We were in Galveston for our nephew’s Texas A&M graduation. He decided on Salt Grass for the dinner place. What a great choice That turned out to be. Thirteen of us showed up at the appointed time, and it was busy. The place was jam-packed full and we were delighted that our table was actually all set and ready to go. We were assigned two very friendly and efficient servers to our party, who made short work of the drink orders, menu and«specials» explanations, and delivery of the piping hot homemade bread loaves. After everyone had made their selections, the servers quickly got the orders to the kitchen. My wife and I both ordered a 10 oz steak and grilled shrimp special, with a dinner salad, a side of mac and cheese, for about $ 25, and a beer. Here’s the cool part… Every one of the 13 orders came out at almost the exact same time — a feat that very much pleased everyone. We ordered our steaks rare. They came out grilled to perfection and seasoned just right, french fried onions on the side. The shrimp were great. Piping hot, grilled and perfectly seasoned. Drawn butter on the side. The dinner salad was a generous mix of lettuce and other greens, red cabbage, carrots onions, tomatoes, topped with shredded cheese. Their ranch dressing was delicious. We also indulged in a bread pudding dessert. It was a generous portion with warmed vanilla and caramel sauces. Wow. Beyond description, it was that good. Fresh, tasty, and easily the best bread pudding I have ever eaten at a restaurant. As I went around the table to check on dinner satisfaction, all were unanimous. Everyone was pleased; everything cooked to order, and delivered so we were all able to eat at the same time. Consensus was a great meal, and great service from the staff. Bravo for pulling that off with such a large party. Not one hiccup. Perfect. I would just like to extend my thanks for making what was already a special day for our family even more memorable and enjoyable.

This used to be a go to happy hour place for our huge group of friends. Not so much any more. As much as I liked this place, they have really limited their happy hour menu. A lot of better options for happy hour in Galveston. The food is always consistently good, the drinks are good and minimally priced on happy hour. The temperature is not regulated though and either everyone is sweating or freezing to death in the bar, never seems consistent. The locals like good happy hours. We used to pack that bar with standing room only. Not anymore.

I had the 22 ounce porter house, it was very good. Cooked just right. When you think Texas and steak its what you should visualize. The sides were ok. I should have went with the loaded baked potato but instead opted for the steak fries which were just home fries. The steak was good but what made me stand up and applaud was the pumkin cheesecake. Bravo saltgrass! Bravo.

Let me start with the portions are Texas size. So I know I would split a meal with one of my kids next time. Ordered at my table was an avocado crab stack, t-bone with baked potato, BBQ shrimp stuffed Enbrochette, salmon oscar, and chicken tenders and shrimp platter. Avacado crab stackcrab stack was delicious. Order this it’s fresh and healthy tasting. The t-bone was rated a 7 out of 10 by my favorite carnivore. Our picky eater liked the chicken tenders and shrimp. The BBQ shrimp was not a hit with my adventurous eater. The adventurer loved the baked sweet potato. I was very excited to order wild caught salmon. The only kind to eat. This was very good. It sat on top fried asparagus and I had a baked sweet potato. The adventurer and I should have spit this meal.
