Stopped in for a dinner on a Monday night! Food was great, but our sever, Adrain S. was awesome! He was attentive, kind and a great personality. Kudos to him!

For a restaurant on the bay, the seafood was horrible. The fish and chips were bland. The consistency of the fish was tough, not flaky and had no flavor. It felt like eating fried batter more than anything. The crawfish poboy had no dressing and was also relatively flavorless. The service was as bland as the food. When we told the waitress about how the fish tasted, she never came back to address the food or ask how she could make it any better. The only good part was watching everyone defend their food from seagulls.

I am only giving it one star so you know how bad it sucks. Staff is very unprofessional. If you are not going to actually serve people in the bar then do not tell them it is a dining option. If I am gonna get that poor of service in the bar area, why would I wait over an hour for a regular table. If you choose good food over poor service, this is your place.

Reveiw is only for the bar. Not greeted the entire time. So i order my own drinks at the bar, Piña colada and mango daiquiri. Both sucked. The mango daiquiri tasted off, sourish and like it was left out one night. The Piña colada tasted watery and bland. Almost like a store bought crappy mix blended with ice. Barely any alcohol put in blender and it didn’t help that the they made too much so they only served 75% what was in blender, the other 25% of mix and alcohol was tossed.

Dinner date night one Friday. Seating was weird — random ‘saved’ outdoor tables no one was using, or could use. So we sat inside. Had to wait quite a while then flag someone down to take our order. Gumbo is very good, as is the mahi with crab added on top. Disappointed by the shrimp kisses, just cheese and bacon wrapped, didn’t have any jalapeño. Service that we flagged down was great. Even contemplated the Landry’s card sign-up offered. Compensated parking is a perk.

Many congrats to Fish Tales for retaining a great server like Adrain. He was professional and friendly, quick to care for all his tables and had great instincts in taking on the patio after a rainy day and making sure all of us out there had a great dinner. Coming from a restaurant business, it’s easy to see that his talents are sometimes hard to come by and even train, and he deserves recognition for making our experience great.

This place was sooooo very good. From teh peach drink in a bowl to the crawfish. I love me some crawfish and they do a great job here on making it taste amazing. The staff are also very pleasant!

I ordered a few items off the happy hour menu and when i got the bill, it wasnt happy hour pricing. We were there during happy hour. The price difference was huge and the waiter refused to change the prices to the happy hour prices. It was a dirty trick, i will not be back.

Fish Tales on the Seawall has been a good spot to go and have dinner. The view is great and if you pick your times, it’s not too crowded. I’ve eaten several meals off the menu. Good shrimp and a great chicken(topped with crab meat) plate.

I went last night with my family we were 9 total! We ask for a table and then the hospo said that the wait was 45 minutes! When the manager came she was like put those two tables together and sat them!(Point for the manager) then our server her name was Lashonda took like 10 minutes to took our drinks and i ask her if we can order our entrees at the same time because we now they close at 10 and she was like noo i have to go and get the drinks and then put the appetizer first! Anyways she took like 40 minutes to took our order! Then my nieces foos was lost and she said the kitchen doesn’t want to make it because they’re already close! We ask for more drinks and she said the bar was close! Im server and bartender and i know before the nar close you have to go and ask your tables if they want something else before we close! By the way the food was cold, and the server wAs really rude! I never going back to this place! This place sucks!

Had the best lunch here after Bubba Gump told us it was an hour and a half wait for TWO people. It wasn’t even a busy time on a Saturday. We walked right in and sat at the bar. We had Carletta for a bartender and she was amazing. Praise given where is it due! She’s a tiny ball of spitfire! She made me this special peach drink with peach«moonshine» and I wanted about six of them they were so good. Food was great, we got the sampler appetizer, and boy it was fantastic.

We were going to eat here after spending the day at Pleasure Pier. We arrived, wait was 45 minutes so we headed to the bar for drinks. We also ordered chips & queso. When they arrived the chips were very very stale. We ate them for a while until I couldn’t stand it anymore. I told the bartender and she listened, said nothing and yelled at another employee that she needed another basket of chips. As time passes and we still have no chips(and no apology) I hear her say something to another bartender about them making a fresh batch and they are still in the oven. Just an FYI, I’m pretty sure they are fried. When they finally do come out they are still stale and they are mostly crumbs. And still no apology. Marking this restaurant off the list.

Dined here one Friday afternoon-ish and the first thing that caught my attention was the beautiful view! Its right across the street from the waters and other shopping areas. We came in right before happy hour so there wasn’t a big crowd. Our waiter(forgot his name) was awesome. To drink I had some kind of frozen swirl tipeped with mango purée and a lime — yuummmmyyy! To eat I wanted to start with a cup of seafood gumbo and order a meal later but after I finished the gumbo I was so full! My beau ordered blackened fish topped with crawfish etoufee served with rice and veggies– I got a sample and it was also really good! I expected the portions to be a little bigger but still a nice size that filled us both up. The restaurant is good for dining in, happy hour, enjoying the view solo or watching sporting events with friends. There’s a downstairs and upstairs area and also a patio outside with plenty tables and chairs. I enjoyed everything about this place and major plus that the restrooms were very clean. I would definitely return here!

I came by this place on a Saturday, I believe it was 11/29/2015. I have been here many times and the food was great, but this time I came and I ask for a table for two, no problem they gave a table fit for toddlers, I said no I want a bigger table, they said no you only have two, remember it was empty, I got the Gumbo and seafood platter, well the seafood gumbo was horrible, all fish two shrimps and no other seafood like crab, or oysters in it, I got the bowl, the food was mid grade, well way over priced and rude staff, Alfonzo my waiter was great, I still left a good tip, I suggested he get another job, I would encourage people not to eat here horrible service and food. Positive note, manager did comp the gumbo, but it didn’t fix my Saturday disappointment with my wife, we should’ve stay close to downtown and eat at Pappas seafood, great gumbo and great seafood

Alejandro and iris are amazing and a credit to this establishment. Friendly and able to make you believe you are the only ones in the restaurant. Food excellent. Had seafood gumbo and baked potato soup. Great in this cold windy day. Calamari is wonderful, not chewy and over fried as in some places. Crab balls are excellent. Iris rec the stuffed poblano which I will definately order next trip. If you come to Galveston this is the place to grab a bite.

This place is conveniently located across the street from pleasure pier/beach which is awesome. Great location and complimentary 3 hour parking validation. That’s pretty much the only good thing about the place. There was an hour wait, so we went ahead and walked over to pleasure pier for a bit and came back. Our encounter with the hostesses were pleasant, but our table was not wiped down before we got to our table. We waited 10 minutes to be greeted by our server after an hour wait. It took exactly 15 minutes for our beverages(water) to arrive to our table since we first sat down. My boyfriend and I ordered calamari and it was chewy and over cooked. We couldn’t even force ourselves to eat half of the order. I ordered a grilled shrimp Po-boy and it was less than average in quality and taste. The shrimp was not properly cleaned and deveined, so if you ordered a crispy shrimp Po-Boy you wouldn’t have been able to tell. My boyfriend ordered fish and chips and he literally only ate the mediocre fries in the basket. Everything we attempted to eat did not taste fresh. The service was horrendous. She was friendly, but my god. Slow as molasses. On top of that, she overheard or knew what was up with our conversation with the mgr. She came back to clear our dishes and made sure to give us attitude before we left. Extremely unprofessional. I worked as a hostess and server during college and my experience that evening was just unacceptable. You could not pay me to ever dine here again. I wouldn’t even recommend this place to my worst enemy. On the plus side, the manager on duty was walking around and checking in on her guests. She listened to our frustrations and was genuinely accommodating. I think her name was Camille? Kudos to her!
