Bailey’s Pub & Grille

Went for a drink with friends and we all left after 30 seconds due to the awful cigarette stench! Yes, there are smoking and nonsmoking areas; However, the second hand smoke is everywhere and it stings the eyes and stinks up your clothing. There are other places to grab a beer and enjoy a smoke free (second hand also) environment.

Have to go 5 stars on the fact that Alien Ant Farm showed up and hung out the only time we visited. Great beer selection also helps.

I am still utterly confused by our dining experience here. Our server seemed to be in a total daze. We ordered the chips and salsa to start, there were (4) of us, we went through the chips pretty fast. We ordered more, were told it would be a $ 1.00, said okay… and waited. Our food came out about ten minutes later, no chips. Half way through our meal, he comes back… says «would you like more chips», I responded that we had already ordered them and not received them. After we were finished eating, guess what he brought out? Chips.
Drinks were the same way… then the bill. Maybe he was distracted, I don’t know, but wow.
The food was okay, nothing terrible, nothing phenomenal.

Beers always cold, food is always hot! A little smokey sometimes depending on the crowd. But all still worth it for cold beer and good burgers. And it is a smoking restaurant/​cigar bar so I expect it going in! So i know that before going although They do have a non smoking side for those who don’t want to smell like smoke when they leave. All in all, great place! I hate cigerate smoke, but I don’t mind smoking a good cigar once in a while and this would be the place to smoke it! I frequent this place, especially Tuesdays and Thursday specials!!!

The food was good I had a French dip and we had the cheese fries for an appetizer. The prices were reasonable too. I only give it 3 stars because of the smoking. I couldn’t really enjoy my food well… because I couldn’t breathe. Other than that it’s a pretty nice place.

The waitresses wear those sexy, black spandex fold-​over waist yoga pants. Keeps me coming back :)

A good bar that has okay food. But what do you expect from a bar? This place is always busy and filled with locals, so they must be doing something right. I found the staff to be slightly rude with that «I’m busy what do you want» attitude, but again, it’s a bar. Drinks were good, food was okay, staff was poor, location is great, but there are better options in Fredericksburg.

Great atmosphere, nicely decorated for Halloween, not too crowded or loud. Thought food was way better than pub food should be but it was a little pricey.

Average pub. Great burgers, good beer prices and selection. Not somewhere I go regularly, but I don’t mind it.

I am not a smoker and this is a smoking establishment, so it stinks.

We came here after dinner for a few drinks with friends. It was LOUD — we had to almost yell just to hear each other. Then the smoke… ridiculous. I’ve never been in a place with so much smoke. Next time we have drinks in Fburg, we’ll pass on Bailey’s.

The ratio of hot Fburg boys to hot Fburg girls is greater than 1. $ 2 drafts and a pretty fun trivia night, we abused the heck out of the Blue Moon tap since the rest of the draft list wasn’t nearly as appealing. About 7 teams participating and lots of hilarity ensuing. Best birthday party crashing ever. We ended up gravitating stools towards one of the long counters in the middle of the room, rather than snagging a booth, taking up that much of the bar, or invading a wider table.

(Five minutes later…) «Breathing is the correct answer! Everyone but Team F*cktards gave this answer, and we need a ruling on if we should accept their answer of ‘DROWNDING’. You know what, we’ll give it to them since the result of not breathing is drowning!»
The bar food was pretty average as expected. The sampler platter looked pretty good, with stuffed skins, fat pretzels that were actually a little too unsalted, mozzarella sticks that were perfectly breaded, and wings that didn’t incite any complaints by our companions. We got the chicken tenders appetizer to graze on and it actually wasn’t greasy as the other review implied, nor was it overly dry. Honey mustard dip and too much booze goes a long way to hiding flaws I guess. Two of our friends opted for wine and jack daniels for lack of better options, with others seemingly content with their Coors and Guinness.
Ashtray provided by the bar as requested. Jen wasn’t happy with the smell of cigarettes in her hair, but oh well. Crowd was pretty young, the bouncers and our servers were super nice (brunette with phoenix tattoo and Neal), and the manager came over to apologize and comp the pints that had some cardboard dust on the bottoms. Shuffleboard and 3 pool tables behind a partition to cut down on noise. Condition of the cue sticks and tables were aces, I’ve never played better in my life. Clean bathrooms with black toilets because really who wants to see more clearly than that in there. The implied parking section for Bailey’s is a little too small for their busy nights, so we ended up overflowing into the adjacent lot for the other bar. I like that they do cover nights for PPV fights! Lots of big flat-​screens all around the main bar area to cover any game you might want to be watching, with about two screens dedicated per game. I’d come back. My interest in trivia and pool has definitely been reignited.
