Applebee’s

The food wasn’t that good at all, by the time we got it, it was cold. Our waitress fedricia was rude and didn’t care about how our experience was. Not coming back

Have been on a few occasions and both times the food was hot and tasted great. However, on the first occasion the hostess didn’t seem thrilled to seat us, and when a friend and I asked how she was doing, she kind of rolled her eyes and replied, «Tired. Right this way.» and then proceeded to show us our table. On another occasion there wasn’t any host or hostess to be seen and it took almost 5 – 8 minutes before a gentleman came from the back and showed us to our table. This gentleman was extremely polite and looked as if he was a cook and was taking the initiative to seat us since he must’ve noticed we were standing there for quite a while. Seems like the restaurant is just understaffed but the people who I have interacted with for the most part seemed polite and courteous. Overall, would I come again the food? Sure! Am I going to have to wait a while before I am even greeted? Most likely.

They don’t know what rare means for a stake. I did the curbside to go because the hubby and kids didn’t want to go out to eat but we wanted a good meal. So I go in get the food paid and head to the car. When I get there I thought let me check to see if I have everything. Yeah I had everything but when I checked the stake it was well done. So I took it all back in, told them it well done and showed them my order email with it saying rare. I was told that was rare. After explaining that rare is pink and only cooked about 10 minutes on each side they took it back and made me another one. The second one was medium rare. I said I’ll take but not happy as now my food was getting cold. They did refund me some of the money for the stake meal but I will not go back since they say stake cooked as you want it and they did not cook it as I wanted it.

I’ve stopped by a number of Applebee’s generally finding them to be nothing special, just OK but passable for fast food. However this particular Applebee’s doesn’t even measure up to being passable. Located at the far end of strip mall, it doesn’t seem to have all that great of a location which may indeed be one the reason it lacked other customers when I entered.
Upon entry there was no one to greet me near the door. I sort of had to wonder throughout the establishment in order to locate someone to be seated. Upon placing my order I showed the clerk my Unilocal mobile check-​in which indicated I was entitled to a freebie complimentary queso and chips. However, I was quickly informed: «Sorry, we don’t have any queso and chips,» which comment pretty much ended that with no further discussion about it or any alternative offerings.
I ordered a steak, rare, with potato. When it arrived the steak wasn’t even close to being done rare. It was a well done as any well done steak eater would ever want their steak to be, also dry, juiceless and flavorless. The potatoes also had a dryness about them, which in order to eat them you needed plenty of water to wash them down.
Overall, a really lousy meal, lousy service and a rather lousy dining experience. Matter of fact, overall so bad, I can’t even go two stars on it.

IM surprised by all of the negative reviews this place is getting. I have been to this location a couple times to meet with a friend and just ate appetizers. We have never had a bad experience. The service has always been exactly what we wanted. We don’t like to be bothered unless we need something and that is exactly how our server was. The food tasted very good and there is a large selection of appetizers to choose from. It is a good idea to be a member on their email list because you can get a free appetizer and $ 5 off or other great deals that are usually for appetizers. I would highly suggest this place if you want a quick, nice chain restaurant experience.

I have been here a few times, but every time, they must have been low in staff because it took the waitress 10 minutes to get to my table after being seated. The staff are very friendly, but definitely need more staff waiting on tables.
Normally, the food is fine and I don’t have any problems with the taste or anything. However, the last time I was there, I ordered the 3-​cheese chicken penne pasta and the sauce was watered down and it tasted like watery noodles with only 2 small strips of chicken and tomatoes.
I would advise going to the Applebee’s in South Point. I do not plan on going to this location ever again.

We needed to have a goodbye dinner for a coworker and wanted someplace quiet… Applebee’s is never busy so we chose this location! Sure enough there are only a handful of other tables aside from our party of about fifteen. Surprisingly this was the absolute best experience I’ve ever had at a restaurant I generally would have referred to as CrApplebee’s. I got the sizzling chicken and shrimp without mushrooms, and it was delightful! The potatoes were very bland and could have used maybe some cheese or something, but I was actually pleased with my meal, even though our mozzarella sticks were semi coagulated when we got them. Our server was excellent, and everyone’s checks were split perfectly on the first try! I would really consider going back, and I had been boycotting this chain for the past five years because I always have more than lackluster food and inattentive service. Central park Applebee’s has redeemed the chain for me!

Got to go food from here and they forgot the dressing for 2 salads and one of the sides for the entrée. I mean seriously, that’s half our order and not having dressings for salad that is my meal is really not worth having the salad at all. In the future, always check your order before you get home.

Here it is 11am & 1^st one in da door… employees sittn round a table stock surger packs… after a few I asked if there were open yet… they said ya… after a delay of being seated I went to da restroom to relieve myself only to walk into a restroom with da strong oder of urine… tried Their ribs & thought I was eaten shoe leather… asked for check & got out & headed to da rib shack across da street were d ribs were off da chain & service was 150% better !!! Beware & stay away

When we walked into Applebee’s, there was no one at the front to greet us. A bunch of the staff was sitting at a table together towards the back, they all looked when they saw us come in and were in no rush to get up to come and seat us. It seemed like they all looked at each other for a good 40 seconds, trying to figure out who should seat us. Finally, one of them comes to the front to seat us and when she greeted us, she seemed kind of irritated that we walked in and she had to seat us.
After we were seated, we were greeted by or server who was literally THE ONLY PERSON working. There was about four other tables besides us that he was waiting on. After we ordered our food and were waiting for it, we overheard problems that two other tables had. Both tables seemed to have sent their food back and the manager came out to talk to one of the tables. It looked like there were three managers there and they were kind of just standing around not doing anything. I work in the industry and I was surprised that the manager that came to talk to the table didn’t even offer help to the one server who was on the floor. He could clearly see it was a serious shit show and he did nothing about it.
Our food took a pretty long time to come out. When my boyfriend got his French onion soup, it was not even hot! His steak that he had ordered medium rare, came out well done. At least the food was hot. I had an appetizer sampler and it was good, but it’s hard to mess up an appetizer, right? We told our server Anthony that the steak was over cooked and he was extremely nice and offered to get him a new one, but we declined the offer.
Honestly, the only reason I give this place two stars is because of our awesome server, Anthony. My boyfriend and I felt extremely bad for him as he was literally the only person we saw working! He did a great job handling all the situations he was in.
We were there for about an hour and the staff that had been sitting towards the back at the table, were there the whole time, talking and playing around. I don’t care if you’re off the clock, that just looks really bad that you’re all there in uniform, just standing around. Very unprofessional!
We definitely won’t be returning to this location of Applebee’s unless they are put under new management.

Wait 5 mins to be seated even when 5 severs saw me at the doors no one even ask or anything until more people got there and make a line! Disappointed! And the food was really bad we order the special of never ending ribs! The taste in sauce was strong but the rib in general tasteless!

Got greeted pretty quickly but it went down hill from there. Other than when I got greeted the server did not say one word to me the entire meal. I ordered the wedge salad which was great and the drench onion soup which was cold. The food was put on the table without a word. I had flag down the host together a drink refill, server brought it again not a word by this time it was clear I was not happy with my soup as I had two spoonfuls and pushed it aside. He did not say a word about the soup. I had to flag him down to get my check. Which took forever to get back. Will not be back to this one

Started out with drinks. Mine was a mediocre Margarita. My husband had a very strange Long Island tea, clear and with some sort of foam on top. It didn’t taste anything like it should have. We both had the wedge salad. Crispy iceberg, but very stingy with the toppings. My husband’ sirloin was tasty, but a bit tough. All in all, pretty disappointing!

I have lived in the area for a long time. The husband and I have gone maybe four times over the last 6 or 7 years. Each time was awful service and sub standard food, BUT… they advertised that they renovated recently and updated the menu, so, we let the hype of that settle down and visited today.
It was about 3pm (on a Sunday) so, they were not busy. It was only about 20% filled. We waited a while at the «greeter» stand. Finally we got seated. It took some time for a man to show up and take our order. It took a while to get our ice water.
After placing our order, another man showed, saying he was taking over. He was pleasant but never came back to see if we needed anything (water was long gone by then) until after some other person served the food.
We saw another family trying to literally wave down someone… anyone, to get a refill of drinks, and later, to get the bill.
It was worse service than I recalled in the past. We saw people come in, not get seated, and leave. Some of the workers saw them but avoided them. We then saw some come in and wait for a while, and finally get seated. We saw customers with empty glasses, just looking around, dirty tables were around us and not picked up until we said something later, to the manager. They were NOT busy and some workers just hung around the railings.
The salads were good. The hubby liked his Lime Fiesta Chicken, but my Chicken Tenders were NOT tenders. They were overcooked, chewy chicken backs (trust me, I know my chicken). so, they should not call them «tenders». I only ate two. The bake potato was good though. I finally called over a very nice lady manager, who heard what we had to say. We also told her how bad the music was. Some was «soft rap» some «head banger» and only one song was good… not frantic. We will never go back at this point, but we had hoped it was better, after the supposed changes.

The food is what you’d expect, but the service was outstanding. Tuesday is kids night and they have events and activities for the kids. This past Tuesday they had Snow White there to greet the kids and she was awesome. They also had face painting, crafts and balloons. If you want to take the family out for decent food and not worry about them getting bored, this is the place on Tuesday’s.
Of the Applebee’s in the area, this is the one to go to. The manager was great.

The food was not good at all. Ordered the Caesar salad and shrimp linguine. The salad had the romaine root core, very little dressing. The pasta was cold, frozen shrimp, and some veggies were raw while others were burnt. We used to go here frequently many years ago. The service was average. We went at 2:30 and it was so slow it looked like they were closed. With few customers I expected a lil better service. The waiter was nice, but didn’t seem experienced. We would not go here again. The location in Central Park offers too many other options to eat that are far better.

One of their best on the I-​95 corridor! When I know the restaurant’s a big box national chain, I cringe at the inevitable automaton staff, factory dish and production ! This patron’s opinion of dining here did not validate my fears, and proved to be a very pleasant experience compared to other Applebees! Although I obviously don’t pretend to have tried everything on the menu, what limited portions I and those with me did have, showed that their food preparation, cooking and attention to detail and quality, hit the mark, the service was good, and appeared to me well above average, to say the least! I am sure you’ll find other Applebees better elsewhere as I have, but urge you to give this one a try, the experience is worth it, attentive service and quality dishes. Bön appétit!

Great for a chain! Their under 550 calorie menu is amazing. Love steak and parm!
