It’s different than any other pizza! The best pepperoni around. If you’re considering eating here, do it!

I am originally from New Jersey and raised on good pizza and some might even call me a pizza snob. This was my first time at a Grimaldi’s and I found that to be the best chain pizza ever and even rivals a lot of independent pizzerias! My only problem is that there isn’t one in North Carolina yet!

Had a wonderful experience! Me and 2 of my kids had dinner here, all of it was delicious. Had a salad and was able to share it was so big, a small pizza which was large, and the regular and oreo cheesecakes. .it was all very good! Our server was wonderful! Good job!

It’s a solid 3 star pizza chain. The food is good, but I feel like the menu is slightly overpriced for what you get. I also wish they had something other than salads for appetizers and offered a full bar instead of just beer and wine. The atmosphere, décor, and service were all excellent. It’s nice that they have outdoor seating for both dining and just the bar. The pizza is cooked in a coal fired oven which some prefer, but I am more of a deep dish kind of gal. Service was good, no complaints there on my most recent visit. However, I have had mixed experiences in the past on the service front. Lastly, if you have younger children, you can request some dough for them to play with. It does wonders at keeping them entertained while you are waiting for your food.

First time here and even though I wasn’t let down, I just wasn’t impressed. Small menu, but pizza is flavorful and fulfilling. Clean restaurant, but no booths. I feel too boxed in to the tables around me. Friendly staff, which is always a plus! Beer and wine only.

I’m from Chicago, so I’m biased. But this was absolutely delicious! One of the best pizzas I have ever had. We had a half sausage and half pepperoni. It was outstanding!

I must say if this location is connected to the one in sugar land Texas what a great chain! Please come to California we need you Grimaldis! Service amazing! Good pizza! Wonderful crust. Nice location with a bar where you can sit outside and look in or sit inside and look out. Hannah(from Montana no seriously) is a great bartender and very pleasant. Wish we had a Grimaldis at home. Oh well will just have to keep coming to Texas! Enjoy and cheers!

This place has excellent food at The Woodlands location… Unfortunately, we did not get to try the food at the Corpus Christi location as another rude female patron who apparenntly had a birthday was dipping into our conversation with the hostess the evening of December 26. None of her business, she had to put in her non-sense. Anyhow, our group made the decision to leave and dine elsewhere.(Note: her photo is attached) 01÷05÷16 update: I received an email from Unilocal – they had to remove the photos due to privacy concerns. No problem, regardless the girl drinking the white wine at the entrance should have minded her own business.

Four stars for the best pizza crust around and delicious calzone with decent wine selection at a respectable price. We chose Grimaldi’s to grab a bite after a mid afternoon movie on one of the nicest nights outside since I’ve been in Corpus. The weather was lovely, the casual outdoor seating with red and white décor lent ambience to the evening, and the bottle of Hands of Time added something even more special :-) I started with a beautiful Mediterranean salad chocked full of Kalamata olives, cucumbers, feta and red onion dressed lightly in the perfect blend of acid and fruity olive oil. Not bogged down, wilted or out of a bag, each ingredient was perfect and at that ultra cold temp that opens your palate perfectly! We shared a ricotta and mozzarella stuffed calzone with lovely red sauce on the side and a shroom pizza with amazing crust!!! Our server, Noël, was attentive and friendly; he showed mastery of the wine list and the menu. Lucky me – I have the leftovers all to myself and I can’t wait to reheat them! Muhahahahahaha! I will definitely return – especially now that I found this proverbial oasis in the middle of an otherwise desolate alfresco dining scene.

Food: 4.0÷5.0 Service: 3.5÷5.0 Value: 3.0÷5.0 Décor: 3.5÷5.0 Overall: 4.0÷5.0 It’s so funny that the original Grimaldi’s in Brooklyn(well, Juliana’s is actually the original Grimaldi’s, but that’s getting too technical) is so insanely popular with massive lines at most reasonable hours… yet you literally offer the same exact pizza a thousand and change miles away with better(read: less brisk) service, and the tables can barely get turned 3x a day. I’m a pizza fan and Grimaldi’s is legit(not in my NYC top 3, but still pretty darn legit), so I’m a happy camper when I can stroll into this La Palmera location any time of day and get seated immediately when I know there are suckers in NYC waiting for an hour to get the same exact thing. I know it’s a little expensive(same prices as in Brooklyn), but Corpus Christi, you just don’t know how good you have it.

I was greeted well by the hostess and since I was solo asked if I wanted to sit at the bar or have a table. Table please. The first order of business was to order a drink. It took longer than I would have liked to meet my server. Probably close to 7 minutes. I was a little nervous about this start. Then my server, Jessie came over. She turned it around. She took and promptly returned with my drink. This was my first time into the restaurant and she was helpful. I couldn’t make up my mind between two things and she was able to help me get a little taste of both. My drink was kept full and my pizza was promptly served to me by the manager. Before I could even look at it she said that she wasn’t happy with the way the pizza came out. When the pizza was hand tossed into the oven, it became slightly not round. Obviously this does not change he taste. Without me staying a word she gave me the option of having a little taken off the check or having the whole pizza remade. A little love on the check please. She then offered to serve the first slice to me and make sure the other slices were precut. Pizza was a personal white/regular with chicken, mushrooms, spinach and onions. Even through it was their smallest pizza I still couldn’t finish it all without making myself miserable. It was a toss up on which side was better. Was a good pizza. When it was time to go Jessie offered a box for me and spent a minute or two chit chatting. When the check came I found a $ 5 credit applied to it. $ 5…for a slightly misshaped pizza. So…good food… friendly service… great management. Great experience. Thank you for making my first trip a great one.

Will never go here again! Calzone sucked asked for extra mozzerela, got nothing but ricotta cheese. The menu doesn’t say what comes in ANY calzone as a standard! Extremely poor results for the price! Go there if you want to get ROBBED! could’ve had better luck with a burrito from stripes!

I’m not a fan of eating at a mall, but this is the best pizza in Corpus Christi. Thin crust and just the right amount of sauce and cheese. I’m from New England, so I’m particular about my pizza. B&J is good, but Grimaldi’s is more authentic.

My husband is Philly(and Italian-American), his aunt is New Jersey, and I spent over ten years in Chicago — it suffices to say, all three of us like pizza. Anyway, they’re recent transplants to Corpus(I am not), and the three of us decided to check out Grimaldi’s. We got away with a(large!) antipasto, two glasses of wine, and a «small» pizza(that’s two massive slices for each of us), all for $ 45. So, so worth it. We left full.(I might’ve been able to stomach a third slice, maybe, except I’d already swallowed a generous glass of Prosecco. When in Rome!!!) The antipasto is pretty good. I’m not sure where Grimaldi’s gets their mozzarella, but I was pleasantly surprised by it. It was watery, but not very. Just right. The bread that came-with was like a sliced baguette, good and crusty, just the right size for the mozzarella. The — salami? — was your basic deli cold cuts. Eh. My husband was pleased, anyway. I really liked the pepperoni pizza we ordered, even though I had to put down my silverware and just«fold» like an east-coaster. The crust is really good, exactly the right amount of chew, and I appreciated the crust-to-sauce-to-cheese ratio. I’d really missed coal-fire pizza! There’s no grease to the crust at all and… basically, if you’re into«flatbreads» and you haven’t had this type of pizza yet, it’s a can’t-miss, Corpus Christi.(Meanwhile, the two east-coasters at my table gave it their highest recommendation: «Accurate.») The atmosphere is inoffensive, very photos-on-the-walls, family-friendly, Italian-American pizza-parlor kitsch. It’s a sanitized version of what you might find in a Little Italy somewhere. Service was splendid — we had two different waitstaff at our table, plus a manager? — all very warm and attentive. The restaurant itself is spotless, and I vaguely remember liking the music(although, admittedly, I was concentrating on company). Actually, I do have this to say about the restaurant: The waitstaff gave us lots of room to chitchat. I would not call the restaurant’s service«over-attentive» or obsequious. It was very pleasant, very chill. In that regard, it was quintessentially Texan. I feel that we are a chill people. Grimaldi’s is in kind of an awkward location, just beyond La Palmera mall’s entrance; this isn’t the restaurant’s fault, but I do worry about foot traffic. Just make a note on your way into La Palmera that you wanna eat pizza after shopping, and remember which door you came through. I looked at a map of Grimaldi’s locations in the U.S. and, except for the original NYC location, the franchises are spread out among the southwest, south, and southeastern states — mostly in cities that, presumably, would not already have good local pizza(plus Scottsdale, ho ho). This is to say, I suspect Grimaldi’s is marketing a «hometown pizza» explicitly to Homesick People. Smart business model, Grimaldi’s! We’ll be back.
