Applebee’s

My husband and I come in about once every week or so on our lunch break from work. Their bartender is the best ever! We order typically from the lunch menu which is fast, inexpensive and yummy. When you sit at the bar you also get free chips and salsa. Our bartender/​waitress knew us by sight and our drinks by the second time we came in. She is absolutely fabulous!!! She really makes the fun atmosphere here and because of her we come back!

Food was great. Service was prompt. Our waitress, Courtney, was a breath of fresh air!

Food was OK. Wait staff forgot our order, then manager had to apologize for him. Finally got an apology from our waiter then ignored by him the rest of the night. Not offered silverware, had to ask. When we got our food, our kids got one less burger than advertised and an entrée we don’t order. Manager did the best he could to make it right and finally comped our meal. Batman as they called him was one of the worst servers we have ever encountered. Will not return.

The best thing about this restaurant is the friendly staff. Very limited vegetarian offerings. The food was way too salty. Bland tasting tomato soup was the vegetarian soup option. Overcooked, salty mushrooms were like rubber.

Food was very salty, wait service fair, location what you would expect for a chain next to major freeway, a little dirty and cheap. Won’t return.

The Tuesday gang wanted to give this place a try. I saw a steak and shrimp that looked interesting. I ordered rare, it was more like medium and tough. It wasn’t very pricey, but it wasn’t very good either.
The drinks were pricey and they insisted on checking everyone’s ID, We are a bunch of grizzled old farts and all of us are 21 at least three times over, so what is the deal?
So this place is nothing special, but if you are traveling and looking for a «safe» place to eat or just need to eat for sustenance rather than pleasure, it will work.

Their service deserves 4.5 stars!

We ordered the bar food specials: Pot Stickers, Sriracha Shrimp, Kobe-​style Meatballs, and Salsa Verde Shredded Brisket Nachos.
Generally, all mediocre dishes — nothing stood out as particularly special, much less tasty — just bland x4.

Had a thai shrimp salad (or whatever it was called) for lunch. Mostly a big meh.

I’ve ordered appetizers online on several occasions lately for carry out. They have messed it up on each occasion, but not so bad that I refused it. It has never been easy to use the online order page but I’ve managed. Each time it lists the closest location to me as one miles away and I have to fill out account details all over again. Tonight after all the usual problems I finally got to the order page and hit the button to repeat my order from last time, about three weeks ago. I did. Got a notification it has been discontinued. I found the new appetizer menu and had to build a new order. Each time I placed it and put it in my cart and tried to move on I was informed I had no order. The online ordering process has become more annoying that trying to get the order correctly when it was placed. I’m pretty much done with them.

Service was great but the food was not good. It was more of a bar type food instead of a sit down restaurant style. If we didn’t get a gift card we honestly wouldn’t have wasted our time here.

I’ve been here a few times and it’s always a good environment!
The restaurant is clean, the staff is friendly but I want to call put Danielle C. She was so friendly and up beat and just an all around awesome waitress! She is on top of hee game. I hear her talking to other guests too and everyone seemed to like her!

Had a fantastic dinner here with the Wife and child the other night. Our server was very knowledgeable and pleasant. He had great recommendations and we settled on one of his favorites, and I can see why. It was a steak and hats off to the chef, it was cooked perfectly. I had an on tap IPA, bonus! We had the Blondie for dessert and dinner could not have ended better. Thank you, we’ll be back for sure.

Familiar consistent food at a reasonable price. Good service. Air conditioning was so cold my wife tried to make long sleeves out of napkins.

The evening started out with slow service and a very obnoxious balloon «entertainer.»
This was followed up by extremely over salted food. For three different dishes including a sandwich with french fries!
We pointed out the issue to the waitress. She responded with: «we don’t even give our cooks salt to cook with.» Yeah right!
At this point, we just want to leave so we ask for the check. The waitress promptly disappears until the manager comes by asking if he can help. We again ask for the check, which is delivered. No indication of an intent to address the issues we raised with the waitress.
At this point, we tell him about the over salted food, the burnt chicken, the soggy vegetables, the burnt potatoes, etc. to which the manager responds: «I wish you told us sooner.» Yeah, your waitress ran away, you showed up, and you don’t know we complained about the food? And, you don’t even offer a free meal or something after we’ve paid full price for uneatable food? Get real!
One thing is for sure: Applebee’s at Garden of the Gods in Colorado Springs does not live up to the Applebee’s commercials.
What a horrible dinner experience. We will NOT be back.

Good Atmosphere. Good Food. But The Service was lacking and it wasnt that busy. The manager came up and made up for it which was good.

Watons and a salad… light meal, full of flavor perfect for when you’re hungry and don’t want to eat a lot.

Just another huge chain with food that is loaded with preservatives and microwaved. They can’t leave pink in a steak to save their lives and they don’t serve anything that is beyond very ordinary. You’d think for such low quality they would give you a price break, but it’s just as much as I would pay for a great meal elsewhere.

Overpriced, small portions, the burger ordered «pink» came out well-​done/​overcooked. Found out after the fact that children’s chicken sandwich is tiny. Service not very attentive. Food actually tastes good, at least.

Was in town to see my family and decided to escape to Applebees with my cousins for a quick drink. Erin helped us in the bar area and was absolutely amazing. Great service and great attitude. Thanks Erin for making it a pleasant experience.
